      Im filing this complaint because Shiftsmart is falsely advertising their jobs for circle k. I had a shift on 4/2/24 for food prep. When I arrived at the store the manager stated she didnt need a food prep because all the food was done for the day. I tried contacting Shiftsmart and got no response. When I left the store Shiftsmart contacted me and stated I refused to do the work which is not true and I will not be paid. the position requires me to take photos and the manager wanted me to organize the freezer. When I asked Shiftsmart what should I be doing because I cannot complete the tasks list which shows that I was there doing the job and to get paid. I still got no response. Shiftsmart stated that we have to do whatever the manager say do and we were told that in training. This statement is FALSE. In training for food prep they only trained us to prep and cook food there is no other duties required They are false advertising theses jobs by lying like you are doing one thing when you are really doing something else. Shiftsmart admitted to the store manager that it was an error but told me Ill not get paid for refusing to work which is not true. ************ has a lot of issues with their jobs only with circle k. They make your score go down for something they did and dont want to pay you for showing up to do a job thats they trained you to do. Cirle k has several jobs such as food prep, cleaner and merchandiser. You can pick whatever shifts you are capable of doing. I have chronic health issues and have restrictions for work. I cannot be in extreme cold for a long period of time and I cannot lift more than 10 pounds. I hate I had to put this complaint in but today ****** me off. Because my time was wasted and they wonder why peoples dont want to work for circle k. ************ need to be looked into Im quite sure they are running a scam.

      We deeply regret this user's unfortunate experience during their recent shift at Circle ** Our thorough investigation has confirmed that the individual in question indeed reported to work at Circle K store ******* on April 2nd, 2024. Moreover, the store manager has confirmed that there were no Food Prep tasks left to be completed, as they had already been done.

      Unfortunately, our Support Team failed to verify the partner's timecard as they should have, leading to this unpleasant experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this error and understand how frustrating it can be not to receive due compensation for work done.

      In light of this, we have rectified the situation by updating the partner's timecard for their shift and approving their funds. We value this partner's partnership and await their future shift selection and completion via the Shiftsmart platform.

      Confirmed a shift on march 30,2024, at 12:29 pm, I worked the shift march 31st, 2024 at store location ***** us ************************************************************** the shift was from 12pm-4pm, I arrived at the address, walked up to an store employee, she provided me with the check in code I input the code into the app, and I worked 4 hours in the cooler, once I was finshed at 4:05 I also had the check out code to but I was unable to check out, I was still at the store, I had a difficult time trying to put the check out code, and my payment was rejected I contacted support no one got back to me they don't respond to you at all I provided the code but no one replied by to my response at should shiftsmart.

      I haven't been paid by shiftsmart. They were supposed to pay me $58 but they only paid me $9 I can't believe how they are handling this situation it has been 7 days and still they won't pay be. This is horrible customer service. They told me to message a project manager and said that they are the only people that can pay me. I went to try to message them and it said you can only message them 30 minutes before your shift and 30 minutes after so how am I supposed to be able to get in touch with them ?

      I worked my first shift on the Shiftsmart platform Feb 16 2024. I was not paid for that shift that I worked on Feb 16, 2024. Shiftsmart is running a referral promotion, I referred someone to create a profile on Shiftsmart. They worked their first shift and wasnt paid for their first shift either. I have contacted customer service numerous times and they say the same fake script oh its being reprocessed today is March 18 and theyre threatening to remove me from the platform if I made this complaint. Then there are already soooooooooooooooo many reviews detailing the same experience its really sad and should be investigated by the **** Why arent you paying youre employees?       This complaint is about unfair buiness practices. I am an independent *********************************** method of how they are paying me has caused my account to be and created a financial hardship for me and my child. Venmo froze my account due to suspicious activity. They questioned me as to why I am receiving payments through Shiftsmart as a refund if I am claiming to be working for them and why arent the coming in as a direct deposit/ACH to Venmo that seems odd.I dont know why Shiftsmart is saying that they are issuing me a refund. When there is no refund to be issued as I provide a services to them in exchange for a pay. I dont purchase anything from Shiftsmart. This situation has created a finincial hardship for me. I was stranded on March 12,2024 & as of March 15, 2024 my phone is off due to none payment as I have not been able access my funds for Venmo nor have I been able to go to work. As I have no funds cash on hands to pay for public transportation. I have a minor child to feed but was not able to do so as of yesterday 03/14/2024

      During the investigative process, the Shiftsmart team reviewed this partner's entire payout activity and verified no refunds were issued.

      In an effort to gain further understanding, the Shiftsmart team reached out to our payment processor provider (Stripe) directly. The Stripe team performed their own internal review and did not find any unusual activity around the successful payouts to this connected account. They went on to advise that this individual's bank provider (Venmo) may interpret transaction types differently, leading to discrepancies in how they label payouts or refunds. For this reason, we recommend this individual to reach out to Venmo for direct assistance since all available information points to an issue unrelated to Shiftsmart or Stripe.

      Additionally, our records confirm this partner has continued to complete shifts on the Shiftsmart platform and received successful payouts to the same pay method as recently as today, on 4/7/24.

      I am an independent contractor using the shiftsmart app I signed up to complete two jobs with this app I was turned away from both after arriving at the scheduled time there is a bypass process in case this is a issue as stated in the policy terms and agreement. I successfully went through the whole bypass process and was later not compensated for the time and resources for these two jobs. I have reached out to the ship smart customer support numerous times and all of my support messages have went unanswered and I'm still not received payments

      I went in for my shift and was in a car accident on the way. I texted the automated people and told them i was in an accident just to let them know because id be late. They canceled my shift while i was there and then refused to pay me for it. i had no connection so i worked an entire shift only for them to tell me its my fault because i was late. So essentially I got in a car accident for nothing. because i am not getting paid for this shift. horrible policy

      For this project, partners must arrive onsite and perform assigned tasks such as cleaning and stocking shelves within the allotted time. Payment is determined based on a partner's check in and out duration on the app in conjunction with a check in code provided in-person by the Store Manager. While we strive to process payment within about 36 hours after a shift has been completed, in some cases this can take a bit longer if a timecard requires further review.

      When investigating this case, the Shiftsmart team determined this dispute was resolved on 3/10/24 through the standard dispute process.

      When investigating this case, the Shiftsmart team verified payment for this shift was processed the following day on 3/6/24 within 36 hours or less from the time they completed their shift on 3/5/24 as expected.

      This partner is likely referring to failed payout attempts due to their bank declining the transactions. However, our records indicate the funds were successfully deposited during a later attempt on 3/9/24.

      I had a shift scheduled for ******************************* at rite aid in ************. Got turned away. I messaged Shiftsmart and they agreed to pay me. But after an hour of not clocking in,they removed the shift and said I was a no show even though I know the manager,had my location and you could see me on camera. Never got paid,been fighting since. They hate paying people and will f*** you over.
