    I filled out an application for Rock Island apartments on May 5th, 2022. I had called to have them walk me through how to submit a co-signer correctly and was told that I would only have to pay half of their $345 application fee and my co-signer would pay the other half on their application. Upon my submitting my application it still charged me $345 and then I didn't hear back from them for two weeks. When I went in to speak with them again I was told that my application was incomplete even though I had record of it being submitted and was told that both me and my co-signer would need to fill out a paper application. That application was submitted on May 19th. I never heard back from the company after that date and there was no record of contact that they could provide me with when I called in asking to have my money refunded due to their system making an error and their lack of communication. I had checked both my application portal and had called or spoken with their office multiple times and had always been told your application is still being processed even three months later when I had been told it would take two weeks for them to process it when I initially turned it in. I would like my money back due to their saying it's non-refundable after submitting but I also never knew if it had submitted or not because they never communicated anything to me past it's being processed. I found out on august 25th that I was approved but that's after I had had to go find somewhere else to live on short notice due to their never getting back to me. I feel like I have been robbed because there was no intention on their end to communicate with me or it feels like to take any steps towards getting my application accepted.
