    An agreement of a 1 year gym membership contract for my husband and I was made in February 2021. We paid for the entire year up front. We continued our contract throughout the year until February 2022. Gym started auto-charging our credit card at a higher rate than was previously agreed to in March 2022 without any notice or agreement to do so. We went in person to discuss this billing issue, however a person would not speak with us, a person on the phone directed us to go to a website to cancel. We went to the website to cancel, the only option on the website is to sign a form to agree to cancel the membership but continue to may for the current month (March 2022) as well as another month (April 2022) as the gym needs > 30 days notice. The charges to our credit card have been disputed.

    MEMBER BE WARE... Verdure is quick to respond when you want a membership; however, when needing to cancel, they refuse to respond to emails, their own feedback form, their own cancellation form, or voicemails. I have tried multiple ways to contact them to cancel my membership. Finally after threatening to contact the BBB, someone reached out and reported that they will not cancel my membership for 2 months. I was told by one employee that the cancelation forms were not accepted for 3 possible reasons: 1. the email I used did not match the email in their system, 2. the membership person was no longer employed there and they were unable to keep up with the messages, and 3. they did not take the time to look and see that my membership was eligible for cancellation. This is unacceptable. I feel that I am owed 3 months of membership refund since I submitted my cancellation in July with their 30 day notice. So paying for August. But it is November and they are still charging me and plan to charge me in December. $150 X 3 (or 4 is they charge me in Dec) = $600.

    Andrea, We reviewed all files submitted for cancellation and the forms submitted were both in November of 2023. There were no other cancellation forms submitted for this account at any other time in 2023. When submitting a cancellation form the member also gets a confirmation of cancellation email to know that it was submitted and received. For all term memberships the member is still required to submit a cancellation form at the end of their term or the member automatically rolls over to month to month. We are working with you on Decmeber payment and have sent all information to you via email. We value all membeships and work to get back to all members in a timely manner.
