    My boyfriend and I won a couples portrait photoshoot that included an overnight hotel stay at the ******* Suites by Hilton Downtown Amarillo and a $1,000 credit certificate towards purchasing portraits. The experience at the studio was pleasant and as to be expected, however upon completion of our photoshoot and attempted check in to the ******* Suites, we were informed by the front desk representative that our reservation had been canceled by “**** *****” and they had no options to offer us as they were sold out. We were instructed to make contact with **** ***** photography to put us up in one of their partner hotels, however after calling the only number available online for the company, and the automated number that had called us to confirm originally, we were able to make no contact. We ended up paying out of pocket for a hotel room, on top of the gas expenses for a 5 1/2 hour trip from Southern Oklahoma into Amarillo, Texas. A free trip turned into a very expensive waste of time. Both my boyfriend and I are full time workers with a child. Not only did we take off of work, but we afforded childcare for our daughter so that we could get these portraits taken. To cancel an existing reservation the same day that you have a client in front of you is not only shady, it is poor practice. Additionally, to have an answering machine that is out of service during hours that your clients will be checking in and out of hotels for reservations made by your company is deplorable service. I fully intend to make your other clients and those who might make the mistake of booking with you in the future aware of the experience that we had. I would hope we would be offered reimbursement for the hotel that we had to purchase, but seeing past reviews, I’m not expecting this. Thank you, and do better **** *****.

    We have spoken to the client and expressed our sincerest apologies. We have issued a refund check for the hotel stay as well as gas reimbursement for their travel. The check has been overnight shipped to the address the client provided. (see attached images) The client stated that they received the check as of 08/13/2024 at 7:55PM.

    I have reviewed the business’ response and accept this resolution.  General manager ********* provided honest and timely resolution and we were pleased with the outcome.

    Contracted for a portrait plus three digital pictures. The portrait was delivered after three payments on our installment plan. There were some problems, but they took care of it. We finished the installments in February and expected to receive the digital photos by email at that time. We never received the digital photos. I called and they said production would send them by email by the end of the week. They never came, since then I have emailed them twice from their website, emailed them twice from our server, and called them again, getting a voice mail. They refused to do such a simple thing of emailing us the digital photos. We would like for them to honor the contract they agreed to.

    Digital images were emailed to the client once the order was completed, but were delivered to a spam folder. We have resent the link and confirmed the receipt of the images with the client last week.
