    My husband gave me a gift card for Christmas and when I tried to use it for a massage today, they tell me they don't do massages any more except for regular clients. I had to use the gift card for a different service instead because Kati Howard refused to refund it. It was purchased BEFORE they quit doing massages and still refused to refund it when it couldn't be used for what I actually wanted. It can only be used for other services at this point. Very disappointing. Will be taking my business elsewhere. So many customer reviews are talking about how they bought gift cards for massages and then all of a sudden, with no notification, they quit offering massages, but won't refund anyone either. At minimum, they should have stated that you must use your gift card before XXX date to get a massage. They had the email addresses! They should have emailed all customers a notification that massages would not be available after a certain date and if you don't use it by then, it will be used for other services afterwards. Instead, they canceled massages back in November and didn't tell anyone buying gift cards after that date and Kati Howard refuses to refund, stating you can use it for other services. I don't want it for other services. I want it for what was available at the time it was purchased. As of today - 02/013/2024 - I have screen shots of the gift card screens and there is NO WHERE on there that states that massages are no longer available. My receipt doesn't even state that it can't be used for a massage either! If they were truthfully, upfront about them being discontinued in November, my husband would not have purchased a gift card in December. Completely deceitful. I'm only lucky I could use it for other services, but others who have one have basically lost their money and the only thing Kati Howard offers is an apology.

    The information in this review is inaccurate. We DO offer massages, they just are booked completely for the foreseeable future; therefore, we told every person that purchased a gift card, that they will not be able to get in for a massage.  Whether or not the message is relayed to the recipient, is a different story.  We did not cancel massages in November.  I have no idea where she got that idea. The client that posted this review had a dollar amount on her gift card.  That dollar amount is for anything at Awaken, that you can get in for at the time the client desires.  We do NOT sell gift cards for massages specifically, or any other service specifically. (we stopped doing that years ago).  Gift cards are universal.  Our website states that massages are booked completely.  There is not a massage option on the online gift card portal.  The client that posted this review, also used the gift card toward the service that she booked.  She then asked to book a massage and we told her we are completely booked and we would not be able to get her in.  At that point, she became upset.  She was never booked for a massage or told she wouldn't be able to use her GC.  She used it toward the service SHE booked on 2/13/24.  Our refund policy is and has been posted on our website, online gift card portal, and in person at the front desk.  We do not offer gift card refunds.  We now are attaching it to the receipts as well.  But this client used the gift card she received!  I have talked to her and explained this to her, but she has her mind made up and has proceeded to go to every review outlet and post.
