The contractor took 8 months to complete a bathroom remodel. Told me delays were due to vendors not having product due to supply chain issues. I observed the issue was lack of organization. He would ask me weeks after I had approved a bid to approve the same bid which tells me he had not passed the approval on to the subcontractor. When I would talk to the subcontractors, they would tell me of the issue and it was not what the contractor had said. He said the cabinets were being built and yet the vendor had not even come out and scoped the job to prepare a bid. Final payment was made by check on 4/5/2022 to the contractor. The contractor has moved out of state and not helpful in getting assistance with the subcontractor he employed to correct errors. We have needed for them to return multiple times to correct leaks and errors. The subcontractor needed to come and fix a water leak under a new sink they had connected. There is now seepage of water on the shower floor of the new shower. The contractor said he would attempt to contact the subcontractor. He said he would let us know when contact was made. We have not heard back from him. My husband was able to contact the subcontractor himself and there is no sense of urgency if coming to make the repair. The total of the invoices for this remodeling job total $36,912.13.
