I had a spinal cord tumor removed 7/23/24 and was in the hospital a week. Surgeon ordered physical therapy at home from Abundant Home Health in *********, **. They obtained pre authorization for services. I have a $5000 limit for home health therapy with *********** Abundant came out 2-3 times a week starting first week of August and I was maxed out by the last week of August! No one bothered to tell me this and they continued sending someone out for 6 visits after my maximum and now want me to pay $1900. I had no way of knowing they were charging 350 for 30 minutes! My ins company said they appear to charge much more than other companies. Abundant would have continued sending someone out for weeks if I had not just happened to log into my insurance app for something else and seen therapy was no longer being covered! I immediately stopped services. I called Abundant on 9/18/24 and asked why they were still sending someone out if not covered. The man at Abundant told me I had reached my $5000 limit as seen in THEIR computer system. He put me on hold, spoke with a supervisor and said someone would call me back. They never did. On 9/18/24 I contacted the therapist (********) and her supervisor (*****) to explain why I cancelled. ***** called me 9/21 and wanted to come out and do an evaluation! I said no its not covered. He wanted to see if I could get my ** to say I had a permanent disability to continue services. I told him its not a permanent disability! I feel taken advantage of - Abundant was aware of the 5000 limit on their end and kept sending someone out. I dont feel I should have to pay for what wasnt covered. I emailed billing **** directly when I got the bill 11/12/24 and have received no response. I want them to adjust the 1900 bill to 0 for services they knew were not covered.
