Vandergriff Honda lost my business PERMANENTLY due to (1) highly questionable business practices, (2) unprofessionalism, and (3) complete lack of integrity Issue 1 My 2010 Honda Accord (130K) had the check engine light come on 4x in <9 months. ****************** failed to figure it out. They had me keep replacing expensive parts. I spent thousands cumulatively Issue 2 Materially questionable business practices As a result, I asked them to give me a quote to buy my car outright (this was in writing to my service advisor) and verbally to my sales POC. Given my disappointment with Honda as a brand, I was not ready to buy a new car and wanted an outright estimate. They originally came in at $2500, which was insulting Market value of the car (Source: **************************** is $5.8K-6.3K. The suggested repair was $1580. To be conservative, I will say the car was worth $5.8 minus the the $1.6K repair = $4.2K MV. Market comps range: $8.3K same car with 170K miles to $10K same car with ~90K. Estimated market resale post repair is ~$9K. At $4.2K that is >50% profit margin for the dealer After explaining this to my contact, he spoke to ******* *** and ******* bumped the outright offer on the car to $5K. I told ***** "deal," but that it would take ~2 hours for me to get the title from home to the dealer Upon arrival, ******* changed his mind and said he would only give $2.5K for the car, RE-TRADING THE DEAL AFTER I DROVE 2 HOURS to complete the transaction. This was the first major issue. Then, ******* claimed that he thought it was a trade in. ******* then tried to gaslight me and say that I miscommunicated, but, I can prove it. I don't doubt there was a miscommunication, but it was internal within Vandergriff Issue 3 Adding insult to injury *******/Vandergriff returned my car with a thick layer of tree sap all over it. For those that don't know, tree sap canNOT be removed in a traditional car wash AND it destroys the paint if left on too long

My experience with purchasing my dream car was an headache. I had people who wanted to help me but still make a sell off me.then I had others who didnt care. I really want to get my old car back that I sold to them this week. I never had this many issues with ****** as I have with Honda. I really broke down crying in the financial office because I had to pay for NEW tires when I asked the salesman about the used tires on the car to be replacedthey said they couldnt. I was pushed to sign up for mechanical warranty when the car already had two warranties. I am not pleased at all. I feel cheated and taken advantage of as a consumer. I talked to the ** and I thought it was an understandingthings just kept going left for me. It took a whole week to complete this purchase a lot of gas& sleep wasted. Was it really worth getting my dream car??

I went to Vandergriff Honda to purchase a Honda accord everything was going well at 1st. I agreed to the contract for 5.9 % $670 72-month finance. When I made it to the financing office I got harassed for about 30 minutes about the extended warranty! I told him repeatedly I didn't want to purchase it! We finally came to an agreement for the warranty! 72 months $685! He said he was getting paperwork together to sign, and he said the printer was not working so he would have to send it by email, I never received the paperwork from him, I had to go back up there and repeatedly ask for a copy of my contract. So, I trusted he would do the right thing. Well, I got a letter in the mail two weeks later saying I was under an 84-month contract 7.34 % $663.00 which I didn't agree to, I do not trust Vandergriff Honda they are not honest with their customers! Now I am stuck paying ****** for 84 months because they choose not to do the right thing,

I was interested in a truck for sale by Vandergriff Honda - **** Raptor. I reached out to them to work on the price and the Sales *********************************** told me that they had sold it already and said verbatim. "They got a good deal because they decided to negotiate like men in person".What a horrible way to speak to a potential buyer. At the very least he needs to be reprimanded. I'll never step foot in this dealership ever and l'lI be sure to tell others to avoid it. This post will also be added to the BBB website, as well as others.

************** we are sorry that this was the interaction you had one of our sales staff. We will address this with him today, and make sure this doesn't happen in the future. I appreciate you bringing it to our attention, and know that this is not how we do business. The deal on that truck actually fell through and it is available, if you would be willing to give us another chance we can get you with one of our top sales people.

Well I took my car in for a warranty extension.. For the ac condenser so after they diagnostic on the paperwork, it said it was my condenser that needs to be fixed. The mechanics and supervisor said no so they end up changing my oil told me to drive it around for a week I start hearing noises I had someone to check my oil. There was no oil there drove it to Honda and I believe I still didnt see any oil. He said it was they took it to the back just for him to come back and tell me its my engine and they see metal platings in my oil something they shouldve seen the week before so I was out of pocket 4092 for them to give me an engine with ******* miles on it it took them a month to replace it just for me to come back and pick it up and hear the same noise I told them I believe it was the belt and it still making the same noise from when I brought it to you and you told me it was the engine so I drove it up the street they told me to bring it back if I have any problems so I asked them why didnt they call me to see if I needed any new parts to put on the new motor, they told me I didnt need any everything on my old motor was good just to come back and find out that they put broken spark plugs and coils on my car and the noise that I was hearing was coming from the alternator and built itself which they told me it was my engine that I had to pay 4092 for into this day. My car is still riding horribly after they said I needed a motor they fixed they tore my car up because they never put oil in it

I went to this dealership February 10,2024, to purchase a specific Honda that I had seen online. Once I arrived I spoke with a *********************************** I let him know the vehicle I was interested in he claims to have went to pull the vehicle but came back to me and said that car has a recall on one of the parts it can not be sold, I cant even show it to you I told him ok and was prepared to leave. He and his manager insisted they had another car in the price range and mileage range that I wanted and being that it was around Valentines Day they were going to get me a good deal. I let them know that wont be necessary I only wanted to look into that specific vehicle and again they insisted they had a car with all the requirements that I wanted. I purchased a 2019 **** fusion that day. A few weeks later the check engine light came on and a wrench showed on the dashboard. I called and placed a service visit and took my car to them February 28th once I arrived they said I would have to leave my car for 48 hours to diagnose the problem. I was not prepared to leave my car for two days so I told them I would reschedule. When I left I went to Autozone the same day to get the check engine light diagnosed. It said my ignition coil wasnt working properly and my spark plugs were causing a misfire it also mentioned my cylinder two misfired. Once I left autozone my check engine light went off and the wrench went away. A week later it was back on so I called to schedule another service visit I took my car in on March 7th. It is now March 13th and they are telling me that a part on my car has a recall and they arent sure if its covered through warranty. I have been calling up there every day to get an update but they keep changing my service rep and they wont give me the number to corporate to document a formal complaint. I asked about a rental car and one of the ladies told me it would cost me $40 a day another said my insurance should cover.

We are sorry that you are going through this. The Honda Civic does have a recall on it, and there is a "stop sell" until the repairs can be performed. We want to make sure that if we have something that checks all the boxes you are looking for, we offer it. I will be reaching out to discuss this matter further.

I recently visited with ***** in used cars at the Vandergriff Honda dealership (*********, **). Over several days, ***** and I negotiated the conditional sale of a car. Next, Aug. texted me that Vandergriff Honda would accept my offer. To cement the agreement, he sent me a detailed offer sheet showing the details of the dealer counteroffer as approved by his manager. I accepted the deal in the text message and told ***** that I would come in to pick up the car to satisfy the condition. The condition was that I was concerned that the "as is" sale provided me no warranty protection; they agreed that I could take the car to my mechanic for examination and assurance that the car was fit for my personal use.On the next day (December 9th), I went into the dealership to sign the necessary conditional sale documents, show them my insurance and identification and pick up the used car for delivery to my mechanic. While I was waiting for the car to be delivered to me, *****'s manager (*****************************) approached me, thanked me for my business and proceeded to tell me that he was talking to another buyer and that I could have the car only if I removed the condition to the sale, already agreed upon. My reaction was to get up and leave the dealership. I felt mislead and manipulated into coming to the dealer when all they really wanted was better terms to the deal. I doubt that ******************* their corporate owner, would condone the way their subsidiary was doing business. After my experience, I would never buy anything from that dealership. *******************************

Bait&Switch on price. Bought over phone, and sold before I got there. Trash dealership.
