There was a tree trimming crew from Wright Tree Service hired by Oncor to trim some trees behind our home on an easement. The intention was to prevent them from damaging the power lines. The trees in question were not on our property, and there is plenty of room on the easement where they could have left them. Instead, they came into our yard at 3 am and left debris all over. We have several animals as well as children, and it was quite disturbing to see a large number of trees in the yard with no note or explanation. They came back today to remove the limbs, as my husband had discovered the source and had spoken to them. I went out to ask them to please take as minimal an amount of foliage as possible, as we would like to maintain our privacy. I was polite, and the man I spoke with was polite. Then as I turned to go, I was wolf-whistled at and cat-called - IN MY OWN YARD. I should not have to worry about that behavior in my own yard.I originally tried to call Wright to complain, and the lady who answered was ****, and tried to tell me they had the right to come onto my property and leave that junk. She cut me off repeatedly, and I finally resorted to having to cut her off and yell to say that I want them coached on behaving professionally, and I want them nowhere near my yard in the future. Without taking my name or number, she said someone would call me, then hung up on me. I then called Oncor, and filed a formal complaint there. They were apologetic, and assisted me in filing the complaint. However, I would also like to file one here to hopefully prevent others from going through the same type of debacle.

Today, Wright Tree service destroyed 3 mature pear trees and 3 Norway spruce trees that were over 24 years old. I was in the front yard while they were trimming and only 1 person spoke English. They clearly did not know what they were doing and hacked branches and tore limbs without proper pruning cuts. It is highly probable disease will set in due to the damage on ALL trees. It is unacceptable that the power company allow this type of destruction. I understand the need to clear the lines but they destroyed branches that would in no way hinder or impact the power lines. It will now be up to me to pay to have everything removed which I'm guessing will be thousands of dollars. Thanks Marion County, ******************** for hiring this awful company and allowing them to destroy ********'s property.
