Im not even sure where to start as I had so many issues with these contractors. My project was for my concrete patio to be extended and a cover built. When I first spoke with Jamie and Alex they told me they could finish this project in 3 weeks. Well two months and many excuses later they finished but not to my satisfaction. To start out when they first came to give me a quote they said they would also pour concrete over the existing patio so everything matched. They made it sound like this is just what they did. They didn't pour the concrete for two weeks after I signed the contract and paid. When I got home on that day I noticed they hadn't moved items off my existing patio to concrete it so I immediately contacted Jaimie. She came over and at this point they had already built the frame but had not poured the concrete. She said they would do it but that the guys didn't have enough concrete with them. She said she thought I didn't want it because I was going with a smaller patio than we originally discussed. Yes I wanted a smaller patio then we originally talked about but nothing was said about them not doing the overlay on the original. They probably just didn't want to have to reframe so I let it go. Next was waiting for the patio cover to be build. The contractors were supposed to submit a permit request to the city and loop me in on the email so I could see the progress, but I was not included like they told me. After I didn't hear anything from them for a week, I finally reached out to see when they were going to start as they told me the permit usually takes a week. Jamie said they were still waiting on the permit. When I finally called the city on a Tuesday they said they thought I knew it had been approved the previous Friday. Well when I finally received a copy of the permit, I saw they didn't submit it for a week and a half after I paid them to do so. So then I text them asking when they would start building. Jamie told me "You can go ahead and make the next payment, I will put in the order tomorrow, we will start on Monday. Well per the contract I signed it said I was to make the 2nd payment when they started framing. So I didn't pay them until Sunday evening since they were starting Monday. Jamie messages me Monday saying she just got my payment yesterday so she will place the order today and they will start Thursday. This just led to a back and forth argument that got me nowhere. Then she texts me Thursday saying it was raining so they would start Friday. Then texts me Friday saying that again it is raining, which it was but for only like 2 hours that morning. They did show up Saturday and start building. The guys worked for 3 ½ hours then came and told me they would be back tomorrow to finish. They never showed Sunday and Alex called to tell me they would come Monday. Well Monday they put up 2 pieces of wood and called it a day. I texted Alex Tuesday and asked when will this be finished and he told me tomorrow morning. He texted me the next day saying he had dropped off some supplies and the roofer would be here at 10:30. When I got home nothing had been done so I called Alex. I was told his roofer was in the hospital. Thursday they finally started on the roof but didn't finished and left it open for 2 days before coming back to finish. At this point I have had an inspector out and a couple contractors to evaluate the work. They immediately notice that they did not install metal brackets under the wood and attach it to the concrete. I had the city out to inspect and they failed it for it not being attached to the concrete, right splice must be supported from bottom of splice and supporting strut must have foot on the roof. Now that they have finished and closed up the roof area I don't know if they fixed those things. I practically begged for the metal brackets under the posts instead I got eye sores of brackets all around the post, a couple even hanging over the side of the concrete. I asked for the fascia to be joined it the front properly, but they didn't do that either. They offered to paint it for free which I feel like was just their attempt at putting a band aid on the poor craftsmanship. They also built above my roofline instead of tying it in which I didn't know until it was too late. They gave me the excuse that it was because of the attic vent in the way. However, the neighbor behind me with the same house same vent placement had their patio tied in with their roofline. I paid them in full because I signed a contract and I fulfilled my obligation, but I don't feel like they did. I let them know that I was displeased with the final product, but they did not care to make it right. Stay far away from this company, I would hate for anybody to go through what I did.
