My car has been at this business for 7 years. On 7/21/2023, I was issued a bill for work done on my vehicle stating that my total balance was $27.73. The business owner, ***********************, explained in his email and in previous conversations with me that he was covering the cost of certain parts and discounting labor due to the length of time my car had been at his shop not being worked on and the fact that the parts in question were in need of replacing due to his negligence. I clearly stated in a response email that I accepted this offer and thanked him for it. On 9/12/2023 I showed up at his place of business to pay the final balance and take the vehicle elsewhere because work was still not being done. **** refused to take payment from me and it was at this time that he printed out another copy of my bill stating that I owed $4,319.54. Both the bill emailed to me on 7/21 and the bill printed on 9/12 showed the same charges for services performed. When I disagreed with the bill, he threatened to "rip the parts off" and file a mechanics lien. It is my understanding that ****, out of his frustration over me wanting to take my vehicle to a different shop, decided to rescind his original offer and is now trying to extort payment from me.

You owe Pro Modular Performance $4,319.54 in parts and labor!!  And now, you have been sued for the amount you own PMP.

We received this car back in June of 2016 with a $600 deposit.
In September of 2016, you paid $720 towards work.
A year later, in September 2017 you made a $200 payment.
*****+ days after that, you have not paid, offered, or enquired anything regarding additional funding for anything, including any new parts and labor we have provided for you.

Your car was previously assembled by another shop with all work provided as seen in your pictures.  PMP did not build this car for you in any capacity. Your car came with fuel system problems including assembly issues, not to mention other issues with tires, vacuum lines, ignition system and exhaust problem not to mention a battery mounted in a toolbox inside the trunk with major wiring concerns.  You went through a divorce in the beginning and remarried again and pretty much abandoned the car during the new marriage.   Over ***** +days after the last payment of a whopping $200 dollars, and getting another divorce, you want to get your car back and sell it because you need cash.   All you want to do is jump our a** for delays? and never pony-up any funds or even offer any funding for tuning, or money for other things the car needed to finish any remaining work or current work and just b**** at us for time?  I offered discounts on all added work, I also offered you a set of used headers; (if I had them which I did not have for a GT),  yet all you expect is PMP to fund your parts and labor?  What shop does this?  None!  You received the work order that excluded all old work and parts  that only focused on new parts and labor but the running balanced never changed that clearly showed you over $6k on the bottom of the page and yet, you tied to twist the payments made over ***** days ago that added up to just over $2k  and then act like all the other parts and labor are free?   How stupid to assume that You knew **** well the old previous work and parts were not listed on the page and never asked about them either and the running balance shows over $6k on the bottom of the page.  I know you are smarter than that and can do simple math.

You received an Email from PMP after your visit the very next day that clearly directed you, to propose a payment plan on the balance reflected on the attached work order you received.  After the timeline placed on you elapsed with zero response, this is how you want to behave by posting some garbage and playing victim?    You got Discounts, No storage fees, and yes, I worked with you during your problems, offered you a payment plan optionand this is your behavior?  Note: all previous discounts will be removed, and you will pay full price at todays labor rates, additionally, you will deal with our attorney on the money you owe.
After your car is together and running and ready for tuning, the car is still at PMP, and you want to steal from us over $4300 dollars in labor and parts?  Youre the perpetrator of doing someone wrong Not PMP.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response provided by the business contains inaccurate facts. Proof that these statements are inaccurate can be found in previous attachments. Also, the business has now stated they will go up on the price again for a second time, which was the original issue.

Pro Mod did a Super Charger install on my Corvette, after having the car back for 4 weeks and putting only 500 miles on it. My car sits in the garage not running. Because Pro Mod failed to follow instructions on the installation of my fuel pump booster, my car has blown the fuel pump and the boosta pump, which will cost me around $3k to fix. Very bad decision on my part to have Pro Mod do any work on my car.The photos included show some instructions that mention to never wire boost a pump to run 100% of the time from the manufacturer. That is exactly what pro mod did. As you can see in the photos, the exposed wires are actually red and black tied together to bypass the hobb switch which activates the pump when needed, and forced boosta pump to run 100% of the time. Not to mention the wires were left exactly as seen in the photo, unprotected, just jammed on the side of battery to hide the cluster of wire. Very bad installation. As you can see in the other photo it caused my fuel pump to get so hot it not only blew my fuse it melted my fuse.

    ******,

I appreciate the opportunity to work on your car and regretfully listen to your comments.  I must correct some things you commented on.  We did not have to reinstall calipers on your car.  That was not correct.  A single brake pad failed.  We purchased new pads and replaced both sides when only one side and 1 single pad had failed.  We didnt charge you anything for this.  You purchased a pile of cheap used supercharge parts and supplied a new blower and intercooler, that didnt fit very good at all.And the fuel pump *** wiring does recommend a pressure switch rather than using 100% duty cycle.  I explained to you in a text message that the pressure switches provided with the **** are made in ***** and become unreliable after they are heat soaked from exposure to engine heat.  To have this switch not activate the *** exactly when needed, can cause the engine to be lean and, worst of all, if the ******* switch fails and cause the motor to get damaged.  I gave you my reason in detail and I also offered to get the car and rewire that *** the way you felt it needed to be going against my own reason and experience that you do not respect or listen to. You never followed up or accepted my offer.  ******, I do this for a living, you do not! I have many years experiences, you do not, and it behooves you to not listen. .  You didnt have to take the car anywhere, but again, you dont listen and want to do your own thing.  I cant stop that, but you must own it and not blame someone else.  The fuel pump is not burned up. I have never seen a burned-up fuel pump with 100% duty cycle. I also stated that wiring the pump the way you wanted would be risky and secondly, require retuning.    Another shop mechanic shaking their head Is expected no shop ever has anything good to say about the other.  You should have brought the car to me where you could have been taken care of. You were never denied any service or attention to your concerns and i have text and calls to prove it.  You decided to walk away from your 13k? Thats not my fault nor were your actions necessary and why anyone would evade their warranty on the work they paid for is beyond me and honestly you have forfeited your position.

Now you have complicated matters. Third party hands in your car before we had a fair opportunity to look at the car.  You disenfranchised ** with ZERO opportunity to address or resolve your concerns. Not very professional and 100% not acceptable. As a customer, you to have some responsibility to us that you evaded 100% and somehow, we are the bad people.  I don't think so!

I was not going to bother but I have spent too much money to fix Pro Modular's mistakes since Last October 2022. I paid **** ****** dollars to buy and install a stage 2 ******* supercharger in my 2022 Mustang. When I picked up my car it had less Horsepower than what it had when I took it in , even after **** said he test drove it and it was ready . I took it back that weekend and one of his techs said it was not making any boost and Might be a faulty supercharger so we agreed for me to take it in on Monday . I took my car the following Monday expecting they were going to look at right away but all they did was park it in the parking lot in front of another business and that is where it sat all day. I decided to pick up my car and take it to a different shop , which fixed the problem the next day. The issue was that the wiring was installed wrong , and the supercharger was not installed or sealed correctly . This is one of many issues I have been dealing with. I was popping fuses for the dual fans which I probably did not need , so this was anther repair. I also paid for a 3 year ****** from ******* but after talking to ******* they said Pro Mod never purchased the warrant . **** did not purchase this warranty until after I complained , but it did not go through since it was filed after install. I have spent about **** dollars so far , including lost time from work and repairs .

**** purchased a supercharge and installation from us.  The car was not making power, something was wrong.  He arrived shortly thereafter on a Saturday morning for us to look at it. We looked at it and drove the car to verify the issues.  I requested **** to drop off the car the following week so we can properly discover and resolve the problem that undenounced to ** was either installation or part issue.  He followed up with an email that was coming week and wanted to know exactly how long this would take.  We did not have an exact time for him because we did not understand what was wrong or what was required to resolve the issues.
**** proceeded to take his car to other shops for repairs and diagnosis, meanwhile, he abandoned his free 2 year warranty with our shop,to this day!   **** has refused to use our support or exercise his warranty with ** from the day his car was delivered, and its been 8 months, nor has **** let ** do our job he paid ** for after the install.   Additionally, he has attempted numerous times, theft of services with fraudulent charge backs on his credit card.  **** work agreement with Pro Modular Performance has been terminated due to his actions and attempts of CC theft. We are no longer responsible to him nor support this product for these reasons.

The shop owner knows he did me wrong, but refuses to acknowledge this. The reason I picked up my car and cut ties is because the owner knowingly gave me back the car that was not working properly, making less power than before.

I am still having issues to this day.

On April 25, 2022, I picked up my **** Mustang at Pro Modular Performance located at **************************** in ******, ***** Some of the work that was done included a custom tune, installation of headers and intake. I asked **** (owner) multiple times that I want the car to be legal and asked if it would pass inspection. He guaranteed me that it would pass the state inspection. On April 17, 2022, I visited his place to request the work. He then asked for a $3,000 down payment. I gave him my credit card number at which time he quickly ran it through. After this, he said he needed my signature for work to be performed. He refused to show me the paperwork and became hostile. As I read it, I noticed that he put several disclaimers on the document, for example, "PMP does not guarantee emission test results or passing of emission test either expressed, etc". I was not happy with this statement written into the paperwork. He promised me that my car would pass inspection and that I would not get a check engine light, yet he has this disclaimer. I asked for my money back at which point he said, "Sorry, no refunds". I felt forced to conduct business with this man as now I was out $3,000. Then he said he could not work on the car if I didnt sign. I had no choice. On April 25, 2022, he charged me $6,217.94. That amount would increase in the coming weeks. After picking up my car, the check engine light came on within a week. I took it back on May 3, 2022, and again on May 16, 2022. On May 3, 2022, he charged me $145 for installing some type of adaptors on the exhaust. He refused to say what were but said it should eliminate the check engine light. That did not work. On May 16, 2022, i took it back yet again and this time he charged me $307.52 for swapping out an oxygen sensor. That did not work. Every time I call ****, he wants me to bring in the car, but wants to charge me more money. When I ask him, "Why can't you get this right the first time?', he becomes upset. Read my letter.

Customer had a oxygen sensor switching fault noted via text message on May 31. Customer was suppose to come in and have the sensor replaced 6/1.  He never showed up to have this done. Customer then became Belligerent And disrespectful when our shop manager tried to contact the customer and follow up on the O2 sensor replacement. Oxygen sensor switching issue is generally a faulty sensor but could also be exhaust related. We will never know the root cause or provide a solution because the customer did not follow through with an opportunity for us to study and resolve the problem and this could have been resolved easily.  We cannot help him or anyone that doesnt want to follow through with commitments or contract agreement of work terms and conditions. This customer was never denied any service, call or text concerning the emissions or inspection.  All Labor and Parts have been rendered to customer 100% as agreed to in the service work order agreement for his custom work.

I am rejecting this response because: the owner (*********************) failed to elaborate or discuss the entirety of my complaint. Again, if you read my complaint, this man wants money every time I bring in the car. He is only guessing. He claims; "customer was suppose to come in and have the sensor replaced 6/1. He never showed up to have this done". This is because he was going to charge me $400 plus dollars. More money down the drain. He has no clue what he is doing. I've told him before, "Leave the car running right the first time without charging the customer more money". He becomes upset and angry when I tell him this. Then he claims; "customer became belligerent and disrespectful when our shop manager tried to contact the customer and follow up on the O2 sensor replacement". This is false. The guy I mentioned in my complaint by the name of ****** or ****** called me and threatened me over the phone and used profanity. I never called the shop. I have this on record. He even threatened to call the police for doing a charge back. I have said this before, I do not know who ****** is. I NEVER did business with this man. Why is **** having this person call me? Suddenly, **** claims ****** is the "shop manager". How convenient. Most importantly, he failed to mention the fraud they committed, which is why I filed this complaint in the first place. I will mention it again: On June 6, 2022, I took my car to a certified mechanic and found out the oxygen sensor was not replaced on May 16, 2022. Essentially, all **** did was reset the trouble code to make it appear as if he changed the part. This is fraud. The mechanic also said the curved adaptors **** installed on the exhaust serve no purpose whatsoever. This was a way for him to prevent the car's check engine light from turning on. Again, they serve NO purpose. This is also fraud. My trusted mechanic had those removed. In addition, my mechanic found some loose parts in the exhaust system. Why didn't **** mention that in his rebuttal? I need for this to be documented as NOT RESOLVED.
    Regards,
