2/7/24 I set up a claim to pick up a vehicle. I had to go to work and authorized my wife to complete the pickup transaction. The tow driver stated that because the catalytic converter was aftermarket they wouldn't accept the vehicle and left. He didn't make any attempts to contact me for an adjusted offer.Business Response

******,
I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our buyer refusing your vehicle due to the catalytic converter. I see that you have been in contact with one of our Team Leads, and that your vehicle was eventually picked up by another local company.
We appreciate your business, and I hope we're able to help you with your next vehicle.*******************************

******.
My apologies if I missed part of your request. Your complaint stated that you wanted the vehicle picked up, and your communications in your offer stated that B&******** had already completed the pick-up.
******** is the Team Lead I mentioned in my last reply. She has been in contact with our internal Account Manager who works with our buyer. Our Account Manager confirmed with our buyer that they only have one driver and do not outsource. Down & Out Towing & Recovery has confirmed that they did not pick up this vehicle and that it is not in their possession.
I noticed in your messages that you have been attempting to contact B&G Towing and that they aren't easy to work with over the phone. I did a quick internet search and found the below information based on the details you have provided.

I sold a vehicle to pedal we agreed upon $430 when the carrier came and pick it up they load bought me and only paid me $300 because they said I had a aftermarket catalytic converter and with the emails from pedal they said they don't renegotiate because of Cadillac converters and I should have been paid the full $430. And on the 22nd of January they said they sent out a payment for $180 with the 50 extra dollars being because of the inconvenience with a few emails in between that time and now they keep on telling me that they sent the money out but I never received it I just get off the phone with them and the lady who I spoke with said they sent it out and it must be still in the mail somewhere all I know it doesn't take two weeks for any kind of metal to get to you I have a feeling that the next thing they're going to tell me either got lost in the mail or something like that my opinion is before I can get lost in the mail they got to send it to you I believe they never sent me the check I have screenshots of our conversations since the 22nd of last month January I would like to get my money they took my vehicle and on their website they say they guarantee no no negotiations after you accept the offer and author I accepted it was $430 which I only got paid $300.Business Response

I sold my 2006 ****** Sienna on 8-2-2023 to Peddle LLC for $825. The van was sold and marked by the company as junk. The title was signed and notarized and the company had a third party towing company tow the van away. That very day we had registration and plates transferred to our new car we bought. Early January **** we started getting certified letters and insurance claims about an accident we had been in with the van. That we don't own and haven't owned for over 5 months. Turns out Peddle sold our junk van as a drivable vehicle to someone without a license or insurance for cash and handed over the title with our name on it (as they never had our name taken off of it) and that person put stolen tags on the van, never put it in their name, and caused a four car pileup that we are now being held accountable for because our name was left on the title by Peddle. We contacted Peddle LLC four times about receiving a letter where they admit they bought the car from us and were the owners who didn't put the car in their name and then they sold it to someone else but they are downright refusing to cooperate. All they will say is "we gave you a receipt and that's all you need." We've explained **** won't accept a receipt and they will put us on hold "to do research about the matter" and never return to the call.Business Response

I am sorry to learn that you are dealing with unexpected post-pick-up issues after selling your vehicle, and we would be happy to help.
According to our records, we have provided a copy of ********* receipt and a copy of the sale title, showing that you sold a 2006 ****** Sienna CE with VIN ***************** through our service on 08/02/23.
In general, these documents should work to release you from liability that occurred after the sale; however, I will ask our leadership team to get you a signed copy of the sold receipt. This, in conjunction with the documentation you already have, should be all that is needed to resolve any issues you are experiencing.
Should you continue to experience additional issues, please know that our team is here to help.*******************************

I was offered a fair amount on a slightly damaged 2007 CRV by Peddle and was ASSURED the check would be a PRINTED CHECK made out to my name, rather than the company name on the title. When the rude driver showed up, it was a handwritten check and it was written to the company I no longer operate. I asked them to write my name DBA the company name and they refused even though the title had been notarized. Peddle later fabricated some information about me throwing someone's phone when I NEVER EVEN HELD ANY PHONE other than my own during the entire pickup. They owe me $16.00 because I now have to get a duplicate title without their sale information on the back.Business Response

On Jan 8th I accepted an offer on my car with all it's conditions declared for 575.Two 3rd party buyers offered less money and when I went to Peddle for a resolution I was basically told: "too bad" I was forced to take the 2nd offer because I was pressed for time and had to travel on the evening of the 12th 1.12.24 I have also received a receipt on 1.16.24 with the incorrect amount of 575 when I have already chatted with 2 associates at Peddle and explained the situation which leads me to believe they have not commented the file or looked into my issue at all. This is wrong and I believe the right thing to do is for the business (Peddle) to cover the 125 difference between what it promised me (and apparently still believes and probably rights off as) 575, when I only received 450.Business Response

Abdu,
I appreciate you taking the time to contact us through the Better Business Bureau in relation to your recent experience, and I apologize if the renegotiation process was frustrating.
When selecting that the catalytic converter is missing from our site, we do currently display the attached pop-up advising that this part is valuable and that the buyer may renegotiate your offer on site. These adjustments are permitted and valid.
With that being said, the buyer should have updated your offer in our system from $575 to $450 prior to generating your receipt. Due to this error, I have authorized our customer service team to provide you with the shorted amount, and someone will be in touch with you soon to discuss the next steps in getting this resolved.
Lastly, we are continuously working to improve our services and seller experience. I am excited to share that we are working on a future update that will automatically reduce offers for missing catalytic converters when entering conditions into our site prior to acceptance, rather than handling these on site. I hope we're able. to help you again in the future and give you a better experience.Initial Complaint

We were offered $880 for our 2011 Altima offer number ********. This was based on the vehicle starting and drivable. The day before pick up it wouldnt start. I called peddle their morning- pickup day to make them aware of the problem and change the pickup address. I specifically asked if it not starting impacts the offer, she told me noWhen the salvage yard came I also told them of the problem and he would only offer $450. Even told him about my earlier conversation with peddler. I took his $450 and the called peddler about the problem. I was told there was nothing they could do and their service rep I spoke with should have told me the offer would be less. They said too bad nothing they could do. I I had known that I would have researched more.Business Response

*****,
Thank you for contacting us through the Better Business Bureau, and my apologies for the offer amount confusion that occurred.
I pulled our call recording between you and our agent, and I was able to confirm that you advised of the starting issue and address change. When updating the offer for you, we made an error and neglected to update the vehicle to non-starting, resulting in the issue that you experienced.
I am very sorry this happened, and I am getting this over to the appropriate manager to ensure that agent coaching is delivered and to have them contact you with next steps to fix this issue for you.
We appreciate your business and would love to do better for you next time you use our service.

I got a quote for $605 through Peddle, so I accepted it thinking it was a fair offer. I had a huge feeling that the offer wouldnt stand and whoever would come to pick it up would come up with some excuse to pay me less. I got offered $450 for an off market catalytic converter which I already knew he was going to say based off of other reviews I read. *** never had the catalytic converter worked on or replaced but I didnt want to sit there arguing with him. I was hoping I wouldnt have this experience, but unfortunately, you cant trust the offer price from Peddle. Really disappointed because we had $8,000+ of work done on that car and wanted to make some decent money back from it all. $150 goes a long way for us, as were low income. Really upset and wont be using Peddle again unless I can somehow get reimbursed for that amount.Business Response

*****,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us through the Better Business Bureau with regard to your renegotiation concerns.
Peddle recently adjusted our policies to no longer permit renegotiations for aftermarket catalytic converters. We are currently in the process of rolling this update out, and I have asked our customer service team to review your offer and reach out to you with the next steps.
Thank you for choosing Peddle.

On Friday 1/5/24 Peddle.com offered me $450 for my old vehicle. I filled out the questionnaire honestly and did not misrepresent any aspect of the vehicles condition. I accepted the offer of $450 and pickup was scheduled for 1/6/24 between noon and 4pm. The driver arrived at around 1:30, said he had to check the catalytic converter, laid on the ground to look under the car and said that he could give me $150. I told him that I accepted Peddle.coms offer of $450 based on the information that I provided and his response was that $150 is all the car is worth in its current condition, and that Peddle.com are not the ones who look at the car. He gave no information as to the condition of the catalytic converter or why he was lowballing me. I told him no thank you, he asked whats the least I would take for it and I said I would take the $450 I was initially offered. He asked if I wanted to cancel the sale and I said yes. I told him that if $150 really is the best I can get, then Ill sell to a company that doesnt misrepresent themselves and try to pull a bait and switch.I just read another complaint on BBBs site that outlined this exact situation. That person went back to Peddle.coms site, filled out the same questionnaire again and noted that the only question regarding a catalytic converter was to ask if it was in place. I also filled out another questionnaire with the same info I provided previously. I was again offered $450. Ive included screen shots of this second offer, as well as the question regarding the catalytic converter. Peddle.com asked if the catalytic converter was attached, which it is, so I see no reason why I shouldnt be paid the original offer.Business Response

********,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concern, and I apologize for the negative experience you had with ****'s Towing & Services at the time of pick-up.
As long as your conditions have been answered accurately and the catalytic converter is present, there shouldn't be an issue honoring your original offer. I will get this assigned to the appropriate leadership team that can assist you with this and ask that they contact you to discuss your feedback and situation further.
We will be in touch soon and appreciate your business.

Received a $3100 guaranteed offer fir our damaged car from Peddle. We were honest in answering the questions about the condition of the car. Peddle showed up offering $1100 for the car. We had already got the car ready, could not get it back in the garage and were heading out of town. We had to argue just to get them to $1500. Complete Bait and Switch Tactics by Peddle. The car other than passenger side collision damage, was in good condition. The engine by itself in excellent condition and worth $2500 on its own. Peddle lies and institutes Predatory practices. They are shamefulBusiness Response

*****,
I apologize for any frustration you experienced with your offer and the final amount you received after our driver completed their inspection.
I have reviewed your offer, and it appears that our carrier identified several condition issues at the time of pick-up, resulting in a lower offer amount. These issues included exterior damage, deployed airbags, a dead battery (does not start), and unverifiable mileage.
With the above-mentioned updates, the new offer came out to $1,460, and our agent increased this to $1,500 at our driver's request.
We value your business and would love the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The response from the company is ridiculous and a lie. Exterior damage was disclosed in the initial offer. There is a section where you point out exterior damage. We did this extensively. We informed everyone of the damage, you guys new this. A car battery costs $150 lat most. That us not a $1500 depreciation. This is predatory practices . Theu should be investigated for fraud. The car is easily worth $5000.

*****,
Thank you for sharing additional context and concern with us in regard to your complaint.
I was able to connect with the manager who oversees on-site inspections for your type of carrier. We were able to review your offer together to ensure that nothing was overlooked. After an additional review, I do see that the vehicle was submitted with body damage but not body panel damage. Due to the excessive damage to the passenger side door and the fact that it no longer opens and closes as it did when it left the factory, the panel question was updated to reflect damage to that specific panel.
In regard to the battery, Peddle offers are based on the vehicle's current condition, and the cost or effort to obtain replacement parts is not something that we factor into our pricing. Since the battery was dead at the time of pickup, we would not consider a vehicle to start and drive. This can also impact digital odometers when we cannot verify the mileage.
Once a discrepancy has been identified, the drive initiates a conversation with an internal team at Peddle to obtain new pricing based on accurate conditions. Once a new offer amount has been identified, the driver will present that amount to you to confirm whether you want to accept the updated amount, and you have the ability to cancel up until the vehicle has been removed.
As I mentioned in my last reply, we value your business, and I am sorry that this experience was negative. I will share your feedback with the appropriate internal teams to see where communication or processes can be improved.

Original offer $2480 never picked up, kept canceling, they cancelled my order. ***** never contacted to resolve, I had to call and get answers.$2175. Rescheduled, towing company cancelled on me 10 times at least by now. My order was again cancelled by peddle. The price suspiciously goes down..At this point Id wasted two months waiting for the towers and peddle to keep their word, I only accepted the $1765 out of ************************ of waiting for the service I was promised but never received.I Rescheduled, only offered $1765 , I gave it one last try, offered much less than the original amount but why? The car was still in the same condition same everything, they just would not pick up my car. Only MY time was wasted, I had everything ready from day 1. ****** tow made the same excuse Im short a driver, cant make it out at 11:30pm when they were to arrive 7am. They cancelled on me so many times it caused me depression. The final towing company showed up 3 hours late but I was so glad it have it done, I accepted the $1765. I dont know why nobody reached out to assist me sooner, no ones goal was to make it right. It seems your business is to make clients wait until they are so desperate theyll accept so much less than your promised quote. Why cant you give me something to make up the difference? The original quote was $2480 & I feel I deserve the difference or something close to it. I waited so long, I was patient, why must you punish the customer?Business Response

****,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us through the Better Business Bureau with regard to your concerns. I have reviewed all three of your offers, and I apologize for the issues you experienced with our carrier, Speedway Towing.
Upon review, we found that your original offer in the amount of $2,480 was rescheduled multiple times due to your job interviews and being called in to work before your offer was cancelled through our phone system when you called in on 11/15/2023. Since your second offer in the amount of $2,175 was not accepted until 35 days later, we would not have been able to honor the original amount. I am showing that the carrier cancelled your second offer on 12/06/2023, stating that you were unresponsive after your 12/05/2023 appointment. Since we were not contacted within 7 days and your third offer was not accepted until another 21 days later, that offer also could not be honored.
Offers are subject to change until accepted and fluctuate with the market, which is why you were seeing decreases over time as we headed into a more challenging season. I am showing that one of our agents increased your last offer by $130 from $1,765 to $1,895, and I am glad that she was able to do something for you with consideration to the issues you experienced with the carrier.
I did also notice that all three offers had your mileage listed differently, with the final offer being listed as ******* miles. **** reviewing images taken during the vehicle's check-in, we are showing that the correct mileage was *******, and the correct offer in our system would have been $1,520.
Since we adjusted your final offer by adding an additional $130 and paid an additional $375 due to incorrect mileage, we will not be able to issue any additional funds at this time.
I will report this instance to our internal account management team which works with this carrier, to alert them to the issues you had. We will work with the carrier to make sure improvements are made and to make sure this does not happen to anyone else that gets assigned to them.
