Boom Pay **** made a false report on my credit at the beginning of this month. Stating that I was 100% late on a payment for over ************************************** nor my apartment owners to verify that it was late/unpaid just made the report to the credit bureau. When I saw this I tried to do the right thing and contact them to correct it This is when I learned how bad of a company they are I called the only number they have and it said they do not do calls anymore for efficiency and bs and refer you to the app. They say its a minimum of one week for a call back. Its been 2 business weeks and still no call. Their app they try to force on you probably makes a killing off of selling your information, just to download it and get a A.I bot when messaging. And even if you get a real person they immediately lied and blame another company for bad communication lol. They have information that proves themselves wrong on their own apps payment records and kept telling me their team was investigating the matter. They are absolute cowards and do not deserve to be in business. They will not even send an email with any info on the case, the most Ive gotten is a partial message log from the app and a were looking into itnot a call or any sort of verification that they are actually trying to handle the issue for me. Every day they keep this false information up has negatively affected me. And after 2 weeks Im done giving them patience or time. They have done everything in their power to deny the issue and post-pone fixing the mistake. And nothing to remedy this. I hope anyone that sees this will stay as far away from them as possible and do anything in their power to not support their business. Many people are making their years salary working for this joke of a company. And not a single one has the ***** to call me or fix this mistake they made. I feel for anyone who got put into position like this with Boom. The most pitiful scam of a company Ive known.

    Hello Evvone

After looking into your complaint, we discovered that your account was closed by you. Your tradelines are all still active and being reported by all three credit agencies. We audited all of the logs in your account and can see that you closed your account on 11/10/2024. There was also an email sent to you upon your decision to close your account with **********************, which weve attached to our response.

We will not be providing a refund for your account as the closure of your account was a decision/action taken by you. No one at Boom had anything to do with your account closure so there is reason for us to provide a refund to you.

    Best,
    Team Boom

I was charged $34.00 then a recent additional charge of $24.00 and have never received any services or correspondence from the company. I kept getting a bank link error on the app so I gave up. I filled out an online form for a refund, which stated I would hear from someone in three business days that was a week ago. I am disabled and dont have much energy to deal with this lack of correspondence. Im kindly requesting a refund of $58.00 and no mention of any history with this company on any credit report.

    Hi ******* -

Sorry to hear you're not getting timely responses. The initial $34 was for a $10 sign up fee and an annual upfront charge of $2/month totaling $34. Regarding the recent $24 charge, that was a renewal charge as the first year of rent reporting services had elapsed.

As you requested, we will issue a refund and delete all tradelines from your credit report related to Boom. Have a good weekend and sorry about the lack of communication again.

    Best,

    Team Boom

Boom Pay showing on credit report, never signed up for or authorized this thru prior property management co. Called and was told call experian, they say they cannot remove from report without permission from Boom. Fraud to report when customer declined program

    Business Response

    Date: 07/26/2024

    Hello ***** -

We received your enrollment information from your previous property manager as part of a rent reporting service provider transition from a different vendor to Boom. As part of that transition, your previous property manager provided all renter information for residents that should be enrolled with Boom.

As you have noted that you did not provide authorization, please note that you did provide authorization for a different rent reporting company. Your previous property manager sent communications in late 2023 to you letting you know that they were making this change.

We will go ahead and delete your tradeline from EXP. Have a great day.

I signed up through the Boom Pay app to report my rent to the credit bureau. When I signed up I received no message on a deadline to upload the lease. I was contacted by Boom saying they rejected my account because I didn't upload my lease and I wouldn't be refunded even though I didn't receive the service. I asked to upload it and was told I missed the window and I have to reapply and repay instead of them just letting me upload my lease at that point. Boom stole my money because Ive paid for a service I did not receive nor did I have a notice of a deadline to upload documents.

I been emailing boom pay on September 30th 2023 and advised them I no longer wanted their services and to stop reporting. The representative ***** sent me a form I had to fill out to have this account deleted. He then stated the a representative will be getting back to me and 72 hours which didnt happen. I then contacted boom pay on October 16 2023 and the representative **** had me fill out another form and told me another rep will reach out once again nobody responded. I was finally able to get some type of status this year of 2024 and the rep told me that the account was canceled and removed from my report. The account is still reporting to this day and they are telling me to contact the credit bureaus that is not my job and the credit bureaus will only remove it if the creditor request deletion. This account does not need to be on my credit profile. It says the account is still open and last reported October 2023. They have not help me out next Im filling fcc, and cfpb report. Attached below is proof

    Hello **** -

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We value your input and want to reassure you that we are paying close attention to the issues you have raised.
If you notice any delays in our reply, we sincerely apologize. Boom works hard to respond to all inquiries promptly, and we'll do our best to keep you informed as we work to rectify your concern.

We recognize the aggravating nature of consistently getting alerts regarding an open account even after you've asked for it to be terminated. We'll take care of this by making sure your tradeline is appropriately erased, and we'll get in touch with the credit bureaus to stop any more notifications.

Rest assured, we're committed to resolving this matter swiftly and to your satisfaction. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

On 1/3/23 I paid Boom $59 to report my rental payment history to the credit bureaus, as well as an additional $10 to report my previous address. Boom advertises a credit impact of +100 points in as little as two weeks as a result of this reporting. It has now been over 60 days and my credit score has not increased so much as 1 point from the $69 I paid. If three years of on time rental payments is not enough to impact a credit score, then Boom doesn’t need to be advertising a thing. I have contacted them twice and they will not respond. This is a blatant scam and I want my money back for failure to deliver on what was advertised.

I paid this company to report my rental payments to the credit bureau & after struggling to sign up and attempting over 6 times, I reached out to boom to help with this glitch. I finally downloaded the app and signed up and paid. Filled everything in & I had to reupload my lease over 9 times. Even sent them an email with my lease so they can do it manually. After all this I had a “portal issue” a month went by with me going back and forth with the reps & they didn’t couldn’t start reporting even after I had paid over a month ago. You’d think that was it but I then noticed a email typo so I asked them to please correct it & they proceeded to delete my account & told me to sign up again. I wasted a month of my time trying this service & even when I tried signing up again I was “unauthorized”. And even after they fixed that I still had problems uploading my lease AGAIN over 4 more times. Then I asked the rep and ceo to give me platforms to place a review and they denied me that. What a company. Denying feedback which they desperately need. CEO and reps need to take this more serious & maybe try and rebuild there reputation because I’m not the only one writing experiences just like this. They tried to offer me 20$ Amazon gift card and I told them I don’t use or have Amazon and asked for a credit or subscription discount and they said no. That’s all good but man what a company

Starting in September 2021, shortly after moving into my current residence in Berkeley, I signed up and paid for the services of Boom Pay Inc. The company (Boom Pay Inc.) was to report 24 months of on time rent payments at my previous residence in Oakland, to all 3 major credit reporting agencies, namely Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. And although initially Boom Pay Inc tradelines were included (reported) to these 3 credit bureaus, the information reported for Equifax and Experian did contain mistakes that needed to be corrected. More specifically, because the rent payments had to do with a previous residence, the reports were to clearly indicate that the payments were made and the accounts were closed, as indeed it was correctly reported in my TransUnion file. Since late 2021, and on numerous occasions, I have exchanged emails with Boom Pay Inc asking, pleading for the mistakes to be corrected with my Experian & Equifax. My last round of exchanges with Boom Pay Inc, started in December, 2022. As it has often been the case with this organization, email exchanges would go on for a few days, only to be asked to start the process over again. I would have to admit that it has been a very tedious, very exhausting, very frustrating process, not least because there is ABSOLUTELY no way to talk to any representative at Boom Pay to have the issue fixed. This has been a rather very stressful to me, especially as it has to do with my credit rating. Best regards, ******
