      On June 14 2024 I purchased a .357 ***** and Wesson revolver with ammo and a dealer fee totaling $1,333.33 dollars. I was told by ***************************** the owner of central Texas gunworks that it would be delivered to the shop in a few weeks. Fast forward to todays date, 07/19/2024 and the numerous times Ive called him about updates hes been telling me the order is still being processed, I will call the warehouse to get an update on the shipping day itll come in next week theres so many excuses Ive been getting from this guy and Im at my ***** end. Other customers on yelp have had the same problem with purchasing guns online and ***************************** taking their hard earned money and not giving them the firearms theyve purchased. I havent called my bank yet to dispute the charges but tomorrow 07/20/2024 I will go down there and attempt to get my refund. He told me that today my firearm would come in but I received no email or phone call indicating that it was in. This company should be shut down, what they are doing is illegal and they need to be held accountable for their actions.

      I ordered a firearm from Central Texas Gun Works that was shown to be available on their website. I followed up with the business weekly for eight weeks and each time I was told Itll be there in two weeks. Each time I agreed. Finally I called and was told that the firearm was not actually shipped from a distributer and that CTGW was having it send from another distributor. At this point I asked for a full refund of $3034.90 and was told that the merchant could not refund me the same way I paid and he would have to send a cashiers check to my home address. As with the firearm I was told 7-10 business days. Still no refund has been provided.

      On November 15, 2022 I purchased a firearm from this business through layaway. I made an initial down payment of $180 and the last payment of $125 on April 11, 2023 for a total amount of $601.53. The business said that it should be delivered within two weeks. Every time I called back asking about the firearm the owner, *****************************, telling me two weeks and made excuses why it was not available. Here are the days I called asking for the status of the item I purchased and when it would be available: 7/14/23, 8/7/23, 9/29/23, 10/23/23, 11/2/23. Each time I was told that it was not at the store and that they were waiting for it to be delivered. Since it became increasingly obvious that the business had no intention of providing me with the purchased firearm, I asked for a refund on 12/20/23. ****************** told me to call back in January after New Year's. I called on 1/6/24 and he said that I would see the refund within 10 days. I did not and I called back on January 16. He then told me that it would take another 10 days since they did not have my full card number, and they would not confirm which card I made the purchase with.       This customer keeps calling ** from a drug treatment center and we have tried to explain the issue with his refund. 

       

      This customer was refunded twice. He called and said he was not seeing the pending refund. So we initiated it twice. This caused it to be flagged as fraud. I had to have the fraud removed and re-issue the refund. 

       

      He will see his refund in a few days. I cannot speed up the process. 

       

      I have explained this to him several times including emailing him.

      Here is the email below that I sent to the business owner. 

      I have neither called nor have I made any contact of any sort since we spoke last weekend. However, your threatening me like this is good evidence of how you have absolute contempt for your customers. You told me, last time we spoke, that it was labelled fraud because I, like any reasonable person, called back and was promised by you several times that it was going through. I also have audio of my own. Additionally,  you told me that it was labelled as fraud because you failed to authorize it, because "you were out." You were not out, obviously, as I spoke with you numerous times since you promised the refund and it did not appear.  Besides, as the business owner, shouldn't you have better answers for why refunds are not being processed than "I don't know?"  


      So who is going to look worse, the guy with an F rating from the BBB, who has a pattern of behavior such as yours, or me, the customer, one of many angry customers lodging complaints against you? Probably not a bright idea of you to draw attention to that. You are clearly a liar who is pulling some scam. If we were to go to court, everything I would say would be true. I am curious what would show-up in discovery if I do not know if it is because your business is failing or what, but if you cannot do something so simple as delivering 


      1) My employer would not care and I have excellent job protection through a union contract. If anything, they would be more concerned about an unhinged con-artist like yourself doing such a thing. 


      2) Nor would the facility. 


      3) Nor would I. 


      4) You are the one who is committing fraud by putting up a website selling products that you never intend to deliver to people. Also, you are a public figure, whereas I am not, and you are the business owner whereas I am one of many people that you are doing this to. Surely, there are a lot of people angry with you because of it. 


      Should I contact ********** ************** and try to verify all those times you told me that you were in touch with the supplier and that it was being sent to you? I know someone who worked for them, by the way. I also know many journalists; my wife in fact worked for the **************** for years. I also know many attorneys and probably would be able to find one that would represent me for free. So, I would be careful about acting upon any of these threats of yours. Right now, all I want is my money back. If you want to push me, all bets are off. 


      Also, I do not see a pending credit to my account.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The refund was received, but the business owner threatened me with revealing confidential medical documentation (namely me being at a "treatment facility") to the media, along with information regarding the dispute to my employer, if I called back. The business owner is also lying about the reasons why I did not receive the refund. He saw that refund attempts were made, which he himself initiated, after I called back following the initiated refunds falling to go  through. The reason why they did not go through was because, as he said, he "wasn't around" to authorize them. 

      These are extremely unethical business practices. Customers should not be threatened with revealing highly personal information to the media (even though the media certainly would not care) because the business owner failed to fulfill an order over a year after the order was made. Indeed, his actions are themselves worthy of public ccondemnation. Therefore, I will not accept his resolution despite the refund being made. He is a liar and an extremely unscrupulous person who harbors extreme contempt for his own customers.

      Purchase date 10/12/23.I called three days after I purchased the shot gun and was told it would be here in one to two weeks. I call last week and they said it should be here that week but to call back if I didnt hear from them. Today I called and now they blame it on something on the back end allows them to take my money but not make the actual order and that I now have to fix your mistake by getting my money back from the credit card company cause they cant do that either.

      Purchased a firearm on 8/25/23. Provided the transferee information on where the gun would be shipped. After several weeks called and they advised it would be shipped the following week. After another 2 weeks I called again and they said there was an issue with the shipping **** but that it would be shipped ASAP. Finally on 9/28/23 I requested a refund of my money. They said that it would be back on my card in **** business days. I waited over 13 business days and called back on 10/16/23 and they gave me the excuse, that they forgot to confirm the card number (even though I paid with the card) so I provided it to them. Its now been 11 additional business days and still havent received my refund. After looking online and reviews this is an extremely common problem. People have waited multiple months for their refund, while some never received it. They are deliberately playing with peoples money and trying very hard to steal and not issue refunds. This is absolutely appalling especially when Im very frugal with my money and thought I was doing business with a legitimate company, but I was mistaken.

      I had made a purchase from the business in March of 2023. After many months of ZERO communication and false promises from the owner, my item never arrived. The owner never once called my with any updates. It was always the same thing. I would call for updates and the owner would claim he would call me in a week with updates. The cycled continued and I never got one call back. I decided to call and cancel my order on September 19th 2023, as I had not received the item purchased in 7 months. The owner stated I will see a payment return on my bank account in around 10 business days. This did not happen. On October 13th I called again about my refund. The owner once again, made excuses and he said he would call the credit card vendor to find out the issue and call me back. Again he never called me back. On October 20th 2023 rather than calling I showed up to the store to get a clear explanation on what the issue was and to get my refund. The answer again was the credit card vendor and he could not issue me a refund on the weekend. I was sent an email showing a refund. He also stated if the refund is not issued by the following Monday he would issue me a refund via check. On October 23rd 2023 the owner called with updates. He is still claiming a credit card vendor issue, however no details on what exactly the issue is. Now he is telling me to wait another 5 business days. My payment refund has not been returned. I canceled the order over a month ago, expecting to see a refund to my bank account. This is fraud. There should be no reason why my money has not been refunded.

      Order #**** was placed with Central Texas Gun Works (****) on 02/24/2023 for a Ruger, SR1911 Target gun. **** charged $1078.66 to my credit card. Despite continuously following up with the company regarding my order they never filled it and I never received what I purchased. **** never reached out to me regarding my order or delays with my order. Each time I called the owner ******* continuously told me to check back in two weeks and it would be there. When I called on 8/18/23 he told me if they didn't have my order by next week Wednesday he would refund me. When I called on 8/23/23 I requested a full refund as I never received my order. ******* verified my order and the last four digits of my credit card and told me he processed my refund. He said I would receive this refund in 10 business days. I called on 9/7/23 I spoke to ******* regarding my refund, he said "Today is the tenth business day and I can see the refund on my end, it will be in your account within 24 hours". On 9/11/23 I still do not have the refund. I called ******* today, he said it didn't go through and he will manually try typing in my credit card number and give me the refund. He also told me it was going to take an additional 7 business days to have it show up to my account. Again, he didn't reach out to me letting me know there was an issue - he just continues to keep the money. Zero communication from the business to the customer.This is clearly a scam and the owner stole my money. I expect a full refund immediately.

      I ordered a firearm on 7/6/23 to be shipped to his store and I would pickup. A week went by and I never received any confirmation that it shipped so I called on 7/14/23 and he said it could take another two weeks to arrive. Two weeks later I called to see if it arrived and he said it was backordered and could take two more weeks. I waited another week and called and he said it could take a few more weeks, at which time I requested a refund and he agreed. It took him almost two weeks and several emails from me to get him to issue a refund that I saw on my credit card as a pending transaction for several days. Today the pending transaction has disappeared on my credit card. Today I have initiated a chargeback on my credit card.

      ************** was refunded on 8-20-2023 it takes about 10 business days for the refund to post to his account. We tried several times to reach ************** on his cell to get his credit card info to process the refund. ************** did not have voicemail set up on his phone.

      I am rejecting this response because:  per the email chain I attached, the owner said he would give me a refund verbally and in writing on 8/7/23. He also said in an email he issued the refund on 8/16/23. Now he is telling BBB he issued the refund on 8/20/23 and he had a hard time reaching me because my voicemail is not setup, which is a lie and I am going to upload a audio recording of him leaving me a voicemail on 8/16/23. It is now 9/2/23 and I still have not received a refund.

      Summary: Refund for Non-Delivery of Goods On Dec. 9, 2022, I paid Central Texas Gun Works (****) a total of $3,908.59 for two items, one of which was a scope which is the item this complaint concerns. Included in the amount paid was the purchase price of $1,371.19 for the scope. The total cost of the scope included $30.00 shipping and $113.12 sales tax for a Total amount paid of $1,514.31.On Jan. 26, 2023, I called to inquire as to the status of the order and they indicated they had one of the two items which I picked up on Jan. 27, 2023. I have no complaints about the item that was delivered which I am happy with. However, they did not have the scope.During the period from Feb. 28, 2023, to May 8, 2023, I called **** on 15 different occasions to inquire as to the status of the scope. On each of the calls I was informed that only the owner, *****************************, could assist me. On approximately 7 of these 15 occasions, I was informed the owner was not available and I was unable to obtain any status. On the remaining occasions, I spoke to the owner who advised they did not yet have the scope but he assured me it was expected soon. Finally, on June 2, 2023, I called and spoke to the owner who indicated they still did not have the scope. At that time, he asked if I wanted to change my order and purchase a different product instead. I declined and requested a refund for the originally purchased scope. The owner agreed to provide a refund. On June 16, 2023, the refund had not yet been received and I called and spoke to the owner who stated that he would process the refund within the week.On July 1, 2023, I called and spoke to the owner again who said the refund would be processed within the week. It is now August 6, 2023, and the refund has not been received. I filed this complaint to give **** an opportunity to remedy the situation by processing the refund of $1,514.31. If additional information is needed to complete the refund, please contact me.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      On 7/18/2023 I sent a demand letter for refund of original payments for order #***** via email and certified mail with return receipt to the business owner/registered agent ******************************

      I did not receive a response from the owner ***************************** for the time period two weeks after sending the demand letter for refund.

      I have initiated the legal process to recoup financial damages occurred. I filed a petition with Travis County Justice of Peace Courts Precinct 3 on 08/02/2023 and the registered agent of CTC HGC LLC. was served on 08/03/2023; the same day the business owner ***************************** finally responded reporting he was processing a full refund which would take ***** days.

      If the business is able to complete the terms of original refund as outlined in my demand letter for refund; I am willing to halt further legal action against CTC HGC LLC.
