ARC's #1 Priority is to ring up their cash register at the patient's expense. DO NOT GO to them for the *************** Wellness Exam (which is suppose to be free) because they WILL find a way to bill you for it.Austin Regional Clinic: ARC Medical Park Tower Orthopedics

I am a Disabled Veteran and my dependents are covered by CHAMPVA which is basically Tricare for Disabled Veterans. My wife has an appointment today and ARC is telling her they don't accept CHAMPVA for coverage. The reasons they gave me are because they don't have a contract with them which is not needed given it is a open access plan. Then they told me I needed to get preauthorization form the VA which is also not true. Impossible to get hold of anyone. A faceless organization with call wait-times that keep going up. Took me all afternoon to book appointments (they want you to book through their online portal but this isn't possible for all doctors). AND SOME CALLOUS WITCH AT THE SOUTH LOCATION NAMED ******* TALK DOWN TO ME AND HAVE THE WORST CONDESCENDING TONE WHEN SPEAKING TO ME ABOUT MY BEAUTIFUL MOM. 1 starI scheduled an appointment with ********************************* as a follow up for my surgery. The appointment was made a month in advance (earliest available). Less than 20 hours out, I got a call from the front desk saying that my appointment would be cancelled & rescheduled. No rhyme or reason why. I was told the earliest I could come back in would be another month out. I asked for a supervisor, I was told there were no supervisors in the office. This unacceptable & unprofessional behavior. I have been a long time Austin regional clinic patient.I have received excellent medical care from ****************. **************** referred me to Austin regional clinic healthiness(weight loss)department for medical reasons. I have received unacceptable medical care from the healthiness department as I had made multiple complaints .I have contacted thru email (mychart)customer service,*******************************(manager),****** (patient advocate) and texted the emails with my concerns to ***********************. I feel like the healthiness department and customer service is not listening to me as they will not respond to my emails.They have shown no concern for my medical health or rights as a senior citizen.I have not gotten a response to my request for a refund since I have spent $2500.00 out of my pocket for unacceptable medical care. He has been granted a handful of discounts for services he received but was not satisfied with, and our teams have been working with him to create a plan he is comfortable and happy with moving forward. I have not got a response from The patient advocate (******) since I called her on 9/7/22.***** (director of accounts) has not returned my call from 10/6/22. As a longtime patient this is offensive and disrespectful to me. Austin Regional Clinic should have resolved this issue since my first complaint thru email was in August. I stopped the program because of unacceptable medical care .Another reason I stopped the program was that I did not lose any weight 4 out of 16 weeks .No weight loss is unacceptable. I am not going to reach out to patient advocate because they do not respond to me. It patient advocate job to resolve this issue.
