    Function Health offers $100 patient referrals, however, they have made it nearly impossible to collect on the referral. I have sent five emails to the business with no success. The latest response from Function Health is that the referral payment system is not working and they are working to fix it. I believe this company makes it overly challenging to collect on the referral in hopes the individual will give up.

    The customer reached out to ********************** directly on 4/14, and we communicated the following via email as well:

    We are actively working to improve our referral process. When members create their referral account, they select a payout schedule (in this case, the 15th of each month). This customer submitted all required information on March 17th, which means the first eligible payout is scheduled for April 15th.

    We recognize the need for timely and clear communication on our part, and the $100 reward was processed for this customer on April 15th, 2025. Once processed, it typically takes 35 business days for the funds to appear in the bank account provided.

    Would not provide a full refund even though lab orders werent available at the lab when I went to get blood drawn for tests. Waited hours to be seen and said they couldnt take me.

    Per this customer's request, we process a full refund for $499 on 2/5/2025 and notified the customer of this via email.
    Our records reflect that this customer's lab order triggered successfully on 1/30/2025, but we are working closely with this PSC location to ensure re-training has occurred, and that orders are being received as expected.
    We would love the opportunity to provide a better experience for this customer in the future.

    I purchased a membership for $499 with Function Health in December 2024. This purchased two rounds of comprehensive blood tests, such as lipid panel, to be conducted over the next year. The core marketing for Function Health notes they are FSA eligible and that they will provide an itemized receipt. They note that reimbursement isn't guaranteed. I checked with my *** and found that preventative lab tests are eligible for reimbursement with itemized receipt and do not need prior medical authorization. Function Health now refuseds to provide a fully itemized receipt that meets *** requirements and keeps telling me they are a technology company not a healthcare company. This is fraudulent marketing. All I want is the itemized receipt I was promised so I can submit for *** reimbursement per the company's marketing and direction.

    Function Health emailed this member an itemized receipt on 12/18/2024 and again on 12/26/2024. On 12/26/2024, lab orders from her two lab visits were also provided via email, which contain the additional information of the list of tests run and the ordering clinician. Member was also advised that once all of her results are finalized at the lab, submitting her results PDFs (located within her Function account) may help with gaining *** coverage as those will contain the list of tests and the collected date (date of service). Function notes in the screenshot included by the complainant that coverage/reimbursement is not guaranteed.

    I purchased a Function Health membership on 9/27/24. Before I purchased this astronomically expensive subscription, I ensured there was a quest lab location near me (that is the only lab theyre contracted with to draw these tests). My search result showed there was one within 25 min. of my home, so I purchased. When I went to schedule my lab draw on their website, however, the platform was horrendous & closest location I could select was an hour and a half away from me in a different time zone!! Not to mention, the only time slots available to select for the draw were from 6-8 am; not only was I to be fasting for some of these tests, I was also told I have to test on certain day of my period. Do you know how difficult it was to coordinate this as a full time working woman who can only make an educated guess as to when her period will arrive? Website says you can easily **************. This was the worst experience Ive ever had. You can forget talking to an actual person because every single interaction you have is with **. When I requested a refund after 2 months of failed coordination to get my tests done and not using ANY of the subscription (no tests, no online resources, etc) I was told I could only receive a partial amount of my refund ($350.83 of a $500 purchase) because a portion of the membership fee goes towards services that are accessible immediately upon enrolling, as well as ensuring that operations remain smooth and accessible for the benefit of our members ****, function health ohhhh, what services were available to me immediately?! Your horrendous scheduling platform? The ** bot chat that gives ambiguous responses? I also never received a copy of their refund policy at the time of purchase that they kept shoving in my face when requesting that refund. Buyer beware - absolute scam. Do not waste your money!!!! Go to your primary care physician and request these tests so you can speak with an actual human and receive actual feedback.

    We truly understand how frustrating this situation may be, and we appreciate your concerns. Function Health is a subscription service that provides resources and access from the moment of enrollment. As outlined in our refund policy, if you choose to cancel your membership and either (a) more than two (2) days have passed since your purchase, and/or (b) you have received some but not all of the lab tests you purchased, we can refund the cost of any lab tests that have not yet occurred. However, we are unable to refund the cost of lab tests that have already been completed. Additionally, the content, platform, and admin fees associated with your membership are non-refundable.

    I reached out to Function Health on 11/2/24 to verify if I could utilize services at the ***********, **** location before purchasing. They confirmed same day I could use this site so I proceeded with purchase/scheduling on 11/2 as well. After purchasing I wasn't able to schedule with reason of no availability. They offered alternative location which was also acceptable but again could not schedule and was told no availability as well. I tried looking for anything weeks in advanced. The 3rd location offered is too far away for me to make it to. I am requesting a refund due to I only purchased because *********** was an approved site and the 3rd location offered is too far.

    I paid Functional Health to run blood tests via Quest Diagnostics. I paid up front for these test and on the day of testing went to the facility and they had no record that my lab work had been requested. I took off of work and had to make special arrangement to do this. There is no explanation from the company and you can not even speak to a human in any way at all. I am appalled at this treatment and I have requested a refund and they have not given me a refund for my $173.00. This is terrible.

    I have reached out to Function Health via there text-only number, ************ repeatedly with no answer. I have emailed ****************************** and dialed teh legal # *************). And received no answer from e-mail or call back from 737#. I have also sent a letter to ********************************************. But did that this week so haven't have time enough to received correspondence yet.I simply want my account and data deleted. And someone to contact me to confirm this action has been completed.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find the answer POOR and unacceptable to the original complaint.  Becoming "aware of the privacy policy" was NOT the issue!  The issue was deleting my account and my data and no one responding to the request via text, email, and letter!

    As of yesterday, I am workign with Shabria from the Function Team. She is GREAT and is keeping me informed. I received a better reply from her than from this complaint. Once my acount and data are deleted, I will be satisfied and "Accept" the compliant technically once my account and data are deleted..  They said is will take several days to make sure things are done properly.  I am closing this complaint out now becuase I now have a contact within the company that is responding and working with me.
