Ive had my annual well woman visit scheduled with ************************* for a year. I was sent check-in forms. I completed them. I showed up. I used their QR system to alert them that I had arrived. 40 minutes later, I went to the front desk to see if things were moving along. Only then was I told Jaki is STILL on MATERNITY LEAVE. This is not a sudden sickness or absence. I was never contacted to reschedule at any point even up to the time I literally notified the office I was present, waiting to be seen. They offered no real apology. The manager seemed bored with my situation. I left practically in tears. This is a horrendous way to treat patients. On top of that, I used ride share to get to and from the appointment, so Im out $56.04. I want an actual apology and for them to reimburse me for my wasted trip.Initial Complaint

This provider did not charge the insurance company. I called them multiple times and asked them to charge the insurance company. I have talked to them a little bit ago and they started saying that they can not charge insurance company now because 60 days has been passed, and they supposed to do it before 60 days time period. I request to charge the insurance company, I am not able to make payment because you did not file the claim with insurance company on time. Either you need to get payment from insurance company or remove it from my account. I am not able to make 5K payment because of your mistake.Business response

This patient has an outstanding balance with our practice due to an insurance denial. Patient's claim was filed after treatment and insurance denied due to non coverage. Patient was able to resolve the issue with her insurance, however, we were not able to re-file her claim because the timely filing limit had already been exceeded. The assisting physician agreed to write off his associated fees, which have been removed from the account, but the primary physician fees do stand. There are multiple documented accounts of correspondence with the patient and her husband regarding this issue and a payment plan has also been offered.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I am not sure why it was late to claim with the insurance company. Our insurance became active and other providers were able to claim. How can we afford to pay the **** because it was not filed from your side? Is the final **** at this point is same if it was claimed from insurance company?
Regards,
