On the evening of 11/7/2023, I parked in Lot 205 in downtown ******, went to a nearby restaurant, scanned a QR code, validated my parking at 5:59 PM, ate my meal, and then left before the expiration time of 7:59 PM.When I returned to my car, I found a ticket citing that I was parked in Lot 205 inappropriately, and owed a fee. I emailed the dispute system a reference to the confirmation number I had received, "*********", that evening. The next morning they emailed me back denying my dispute, only saying there was no reference found. I emailed back asking for more information, and received no further communication. I even followed up with he customer service email on 11/16, and still no response. I heard nothing else until I got a letter in the mail informing me that my debt had been sold to a debt collector, ******************** Services, LLC".I have sent a letter to the debt collector inquiring into the validity of the charges, and received a response, citing the same information Platinum Parking cited, disregarding my dispute. The debt collector is acting appropriately, but with the owner of the debt disconnected from the business who refused to acknowledge my dispute, I am seeking help from the BBB to resolve this matter. No matter what is agreed upon among the other parties, my goal is to not be harassed to pay an inappropriately assessed fee. Please find attached to this form four files. One PNG file detailing the email exchange and lack of reply, one PNG showing that parking for Lot 205 was validated within the proper date, time, and license plate, 1 PDF displayed the records Platinum Parking shared back with me that line up with the validation, and 1 PDF that records they denied my dispute with little detail.Thank you for your time and attention.

On 10/25/23 I parked my vehicle at what appeared to be a public parking lot for the business nearby. When I got back to my car, I had a parking ticket under my windshield wiper for $95. it was not made apparent that the lot had parking fees, as there were no pay meters, notices of contract, or any other signage stating that I had to pay to park there. I would have been more than happy to pay for parking there if there was any way to do so, either a pay meter or some kind of warning that I must pay to park in the lot. I find that charging $95 for damages on a lot with inadequate notices predatory and unethical. The least that can be done is a formal description of all your policies and regular business practices at EVERY entrance to your lots.My ticket number is 15000284AT

Good afternoon Mr. *************** have read your complaint and stand by the ticket.  Our lot 135 is located in the heart of *********************** campus area where there is no free parking.  You did indeed park on a public parking lot which requires payment for parking.  This is our most branded public parking location with signage at both entries, a payment kiosk onsite, a well branded ****** building and additional payment option parking signage throughout the parking lot.  I have attached pictures of all the various signage.

While it is never fun to pay to park it is necessary in the area as parking is so limited.  We strive to offer affordable rates which would have been a great alternative to the cost of a parking ticket. The funds received at this location support the operations of a local church so we hope in the future you choose to support them by making proper payment.

Thank you for reaching out and I hope you have a great rest of your day.

On May 21 my husband and I visited downtown ***********, we were with another couple that had parked (And paid) in the platinum parking lot. After we completed dinner, we took them to their parking and pulled into the parking lot in order not to impede the traffic. We dropped our family members off, waited for them to get in and start their vehicle, and left the parking lot. We never got out of our vehicle or parked. We were contacted via text about and billed for parking in their lot. A complaint was made 5/28 at 10:44 CST requesting a contact regarding this matter and received an automatic reply via email. We were never contacted by the company and on 6/5 were mailed a **** with our license plate number threatening that our vehicle would be subject to impoundment or immobilization. I feel like we have followed the steps needed to dispute the claim and **** but have not been contacted. We are paying the **** to avoid collections or dings on our credit but would like a refund.
