    I am a loan officer and I never write reviews on companies but the customer service was so bad that I had to take the time to write a review. I have dealt with hundreds of solar companies and solar providers and Spruce Power is the worst of them all. I requested a payoff amount to purchase the solar system 1.5 months ago and still have received nothing from them. I have followed up with them countless times via email and phone. They always give me some kind of excuse as to why the payoff amount has not been sent. Zero stars!!!!!

    Spruce Power is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. My solar power contract was sold to these inept folks about two years ago and they have been badgering me for more money ever since. The people calling have no idea who I am, where I Iive, how much I have been paying them or anything else. The callers invariably begin by asking my address, then say they have not received any payments for two years or more. The worst harassing I have ever experienced. Invariably they hang up. They clearly have no idea about the contract. The last person complained they have not received payment yet for ****** May or June of 2023 and those months have not even been billed for yet! There needs to be a full governmental investigation of this absurd company followed by refunds for all the customers that have been robbed by them. This disgraceful bunch of robber barons need to go to prison with all the money stolen by them clawed back and returned to the defrauded customers. They need to pay for their dastardly theft!

    This is the worst utility company Ive ever dealt with. The customer service team is almost impossible to reach if you need assistance. My monthly bill is supposed to be a set amount but sometimes fluctuates with no explanation. Im so upset that they took over NRG which I never had these issues and I cannot leave this company.

    This experience I'm having as result of a horrible billing company. I got in touch with an employee and asked her why my bill went up and she said it didnt and to ignore it and now it went even more. I have ask for a call back like ten times and never received a call back. Now I'm determined to talk to someone again in hopes of rectifying this issue once and for all. Lets see how long it takes to get someone on the phone. Im thinking three hours but its better than leaving a call back number as I dont think the company has dial out capability. At least it seems that way. Awful experience. If i could rip down my solar panels I would and get another company that is competent.

    Worst customer service ever. Last month the took over $1550.00 from my account. Had to pay for stop payment thru my bank. Tried contacting them for week never hear from them. Answering service is all you can talk to. Sent emails received one response. This month they took $234.21 from my account as well as the normal monthly payment of $98.61. love to figyout how to get the contract voided and have the system removed from my house.

    They won't fix my account and won't call me back, been 2 weeks and have requested over 10x but never get a call. No one can reset my account so I can log in to make a payment. Where is the attorney general???? shut this company down

    This is the absolute worst company we have ever had to deal with! The people answering their customer service lines are idiots and have no ability to do anything. They promise true-**** and and are obligated by contract to fix our solar and true up our bill and they continually do not respond. Why the ****************** hasn't gotten involved I am not sure as it is that bad.

    The worst customer service Ive felt with !!! My dad passed away and I need to sell his house but cant until I contact them. Ive been put on hold for over 45 minutes and when someone finally gets on the phone she cant help me until I provide a death certificate and living trust. So I emailed it to them and its been 10 days with no answer!! On a side note my dad told me how he regretted getting solar once spruce took over.

    My experience is the same as ************ NRG never had a problem with the accuracy of my statements. Since Spruce took over my account in May of 2021 I have had less than half of the statements being correct. My bill is supposed to be $129 per month. They have ranged from -$119 through $0 up to $407. Multiple promises to fix the billing system are even offered in writing by the company but it never gets corrected. In fact, last month was the worst and the greeting when I called multiple times indicated the system was producing incorrect statements. Now you get transferred to a call center which basically just takes a message which is never acted on or returned. Spruce just bought up a lot of leases and they have no ability to service the accounts. The corporate office does not answer their phone or mail. I am hoping that they are taken over soon and replaced by an entity that has the level of competence as NRG.

    Had a solar panel contract with NRG for eight years, when Spruce took over. During my time with NRG there was never a single issue with my auto pay which was established at the initial signing of the lease. Thus far, since Spruce took over, I have not gotten more than two consecutive bills with the correct amount. They don't answer their calls, they don't return the messages, emails often take a week to two weeks to respond. And when they finally respond, they have more excuses than solutions and the solutions are often temporary. Any decent company that has a billing department this incompetent would've eliminated the department and outsourced it. This company is toxic and destined to end up on either ********************* or 60 minutes. In the meantime, I just want to pay my bills on time and not have it turned it into an adventure the way they have.
