We build our home from DFH Homes/ ******** Homes in *******, ** which closed in Dec 2023 with a warranty period of 1 Year. There were some open issues at cloisng that the builder team promised to close soon. Its been 7 months now and even with constant reminders, emails, phone calls, text messages ( tried to leverage every communicaton channel possible) reached the coventry team to address my issues and even after constant reaching out an dpatiently waiting for the team to address the issues they have not made much progress or got any traction is resoving those issues. I am at a point that i think my patience is taking for an advantage and some of the major issues are not being addressed as the warranty period ends in couple of months and after that i would not get any resolution as the builder will be off the hook.

Replacement window sitting in our yard after 2 months. Continual promise to finish and never doing anything after the initial install. Company left broken glass all over the inside and outside of our house. Didn't finish the work and didn't return for 8 weeks. Showed up 5/24/22 without the proper tools, no installer and no eye glasses to do the job. Left after 45 minutes without having done anything.

    Business Response

During the time working with **************, was a time of turmoil in the window business.    Time to manufacture windows and deliver them expanded from 2 to 3 weeks to as many as ***** weeks and sometimes more. Not only were there more windows delivered damaged, the window parts and supplies were hard to get in a reasonable time. Warranties were honored but the wait was long.  Most of the complaints of ***** were covered but getting the parts was a long-term process. I usually repair the windows and add missing parts when they arrive.  Factory warranties for labor, I prefer to do myself because waiting for a factory  technician is a long-term process.   I gave ***** the name and phone number of ****** at *** **************).  ****** processes windows, delivery, warranties with the factory with all of the different manufacturers.   Her boss and my good friend at *** died during this time.   Feel free to call ****** at the above number.  Most of my repeat customers are well known to her.  I offer as a reference. This helps the customer.   However, during this time, even the parts took forever. I deny the 2-month delay.  During that time she said that she was out of town several times. About the broken glass I was present when It broke.  That evening we cleaned up the glass and placed it in the blue trash can for pickup.   All of the **************** were empty at that tiime.  I placed the broken glass in the blue garbage container. ***** complained that broken glass was everywhere, inside and outside of the home.   That was not the way I left it.   It must have been scattered by others. In fact, she wanted to put the broken glass in my car, for reasons I cannot understand. There were other exaggerations.  She hired someone else to do the touch up and claims to have hired.     I asked for a receipt from the other workers she gave me some numbers but did not come up with a receipt. When she sent in the initial complaint, she offered to not file the complaint (already filed) if I would reimburse her $700.00.  I offered her $350, which was a reasonable sum, payable that day, but she wanted $700.00.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. no reimbursement was received $0

    2. business owner deflecting responsibility for not finishing job
