July 10, 2024, Hardin County Sherriff's Office reported Mary "Emily" Lockard-Furry surrendered on a warrant alleging a theft of property charge. She was released on bond the same day.
June 19, 2024, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported Mary" Emily" Lockard-Furry was taken into custody on June 18, 2024. The investigation, conducted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, led to an arrest warrant for Lockard-Furry. Detectives executed a search warrant at her home on June 17, 2024, she was subsequently arrested for Theft by Deception, a state jail felony. Lockard-Furry was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility, where she was released on bond. On the same day, her case was presented to the Jefferson County Grand Jury, resulting in an indictment.
