    Pattern of Complaint:

On December 31, 2015 BBB reached out to Happy Motors LLC regarding a pattern of complaints filed against the business.

Consumers allege the business verbally states vehicles are in good working condition; however, after the purchase they find their vehicle has numerous repair issues; thus, rendering the vehicle inoperable and unsafe (including one complaint in which the consumer describes a life threatening situation of their vehicle catching on fire).  Additionally, consumers allege rudeness and lack of respect by management and employees.  Complaint information also indicates confusion regarding warranty and insurance coverage, the withholding of tax, title and licensing paperwork, lack of notification when purchasing salvaged or recalled vehicles and odometer issues such as: business not providing original odometer reading and odometer not working correctly at the time of purchase.

On January 7, 2016, a representative from Happy Motors LLC contacted BBB responding that Happy Motors LLC has approximately 900 accounts and goes above and beyond in making repairs to the vehicles they sell. They carry notes longer but also have a high report rate. They spend approximately $20,000.00 a month on parts purchased for the vehicles they sell and they take care of those who cannot afford to purchase from other Dealers.

I walked into the dealership to try and purchase a car. Once in there I talked to the sales man, and came to an agreement to a down payment on the car I wanted. He took my money and in about 6 days came to my house and picked up the car said I owed him more money. Said the down payment was higher then what I gave him. I told him we agreed on the amount I gave him but he at first told me if I wanted the car back I had to bring him another 1000 and only had 14 days to bring it so less then a week I called and told him I had the money and he told me that the owners won't give me the car back unless I pay it off fully the whole amount of what the car was worth. I didn't have that amount so I didn't go for it so I practically rented the car for 6 days for 1700 and a week later they sold it to someone else. I feel this was unfair and I lost alot of money and am looking for help to get my money back or another car from this car lot I would rather talk to a person I am better at talking then writing

On September 29 2020, I received financial aid . On this day I went to AAA Goodtimes LLC to put a down payment on car. I saw a 2009 Dodge Charger. I asked ****** how much everything would be and he whispers " I got you" . He wouldn't let me test drive the vehicle at time of purchase but advised me the car just got in that day and everything was perfectly fine. I had $2,000 still in the paper wrap from the bank and he told me it would be $1500 down. I counted 1,500 and still had the $500 leftover. I handed ****** the money. He counted it and said i was $100 short so i asked if he can count it again because it just came from the bank and i havent touched the money. When he recounted the money he then said " Oh yeah you gave me 1500.". He then adivied me for my TTL it would be an additional $500 but he would break the payment down $250 monthly then when I am finished paying for the TTL i would THEN start paying my car note. I gave him an additional $250 to start the process of obtaining my plates, since i had the money. He then told me my payments would be #300 monthly. When i got in the car to drive home the car was not at all how he described. When i took it to the mechanic they told me i had 2 bad ignition coils. I immeditaly went to ****** and bought the parts and paid $150 labor for them to fix the car. A week later another igintion coil goes bad. Then, 1 tire every 2 weeks are going bad come to find out the wheel alignment was bad. I was sold a car that was undriveable and out of almot $2500. ****** came to my house at 11pm to advise me my car was going to be towed due to insurance. But my payment was not even due yet for my insurance. Its auto-pay on the 27th of each month. Not sure why he banged on my door that late but it scared me. He then stated he would call the tow truck off. I spoke to ***** and he told me my payments are every 2 weeks not monthly. But ****** told me monthly. They repoed my car because i was 2 day late and they are demanding more money.

We bought the truck in August of this year. Two weeks later the clutch went out. The gear locked up. I called them to make arrangements to bring it. It was not moving or running. We couldn't do anything with it. We had to wait until the following month to bring it to them after my husband paid them $500 to fix the clutch. They wanted another $600 to bring it to them and we also found out that the part that they need will cost that much but it will be very hard to get right now because none of the parts stores have it and don't know when they will get it. This has put us in a very big bind because we have no transportation. I keep calling them to find out what the deal is but I can't get them on the phone to explain what's actually wrong with it. When I leave a message they do not return calls. This has been going on since August.
