Date of transaction:01/09/2023 I went to see a provider ****************** ************** within the ** Orthopedic **************** on 1/9/2023 and am being billed ****** for what my companies commercial insurance didnt pay. I have reached out to the Billing Manager *************************** and a Billing cooridnator name ******. I am not getting any returned calls. Instead all i get is threatening collection letters and invoices.I was told when I was there that I would not have to pay for a boot (***) equip that my ************************************** Blue shield would cover in full. I asked the doctor about this before taking the *** and then also asked the Med Asst and a check out clerk. All three people told me my insurance would cover this and I would not be billed. I dont feel like the I have been treated fairly on this. I was mislead and stiffed with a big bill. Today I received an email from ****************************. I was just turned over to an outside collection agency which is a violation of HIPPA. A law passed in 22/23 states a provider can not collect on anything under ******.
