This Christmas my son wanted a Metal Rear Bumper for his 2020 ****** Tacoma TRD Pro.10/17/23 My son put a $600.00 deposit down with ******************** of ****** to order a METAL Rear Bumper that worked with his Blind Spot Monitoring System and other sensors. **** assured him that it would work and that they install bumpers all the time.10/25/23 My son dropped off his truck at AutoTrim to get a METAL Rear Bumper. His original genuine ****** bumper had a small dent on the drivers corner of the bumper, the Blind Spot Monitoring System and other features worked fine.The Metal bumper was installed and my son paid the remaining balance of $364.13 and drove home.10/26/2023 while driving to school the next morning the sensor alarms went off in his truck, they were not working. My son called ******************** of ******, he spoke with **** and explained about the sensors. **** said he would have to make an appointment with ****** of ****** for them to look at his new metal bumper and see if it was compatible with the sensors.10/28/2023 my son dropped off his truck at ********* so they could take it to ****** of ****** to be checked out.10/28/2023 same day Rich called my son to say the bumper was not compatible with the blind spot monitoring system. My son asked for his original bumper back and **** told him they got rid of it, but he would look for one and call him when he found one. 11/14/2023 I went to Auto Trim and asked when they would have a genuine ****** stock bumper to put back on my sons truck. **** said he should have one in by 11/21/2023.12/13/ 2023 My son took his Tacoma back to Auto Trim and have them reinstall a genuine ****** stock Bumper. ( the one they got had to be painted black to match my sons ******) When he went to pick it up later that afternoon he asked for his $964.13 back. **** said he was not giving him his money back and that they were square.12/14/2023 I went and talked with ****, he said he wasnt going to refund us the $964.13.
