On February 24, 2025, ***** Ruben ******** came to my home saying I could qualify for a program that helps to have my roof fixed for free. The next day I received an email saying he took a credit card out in my name. I called him to tell him I didn't approve any of this to remove my name from his business. He threatened me with a lawsuit and a $5000 cancellation fee or he would take my house as payment.

Initially the appointment for a roof presentation was set with our representative Mr. ******* NOT ***** ********. You can see on the images provided the details Mr. ******* provided for us regarding the appointment and it states in Spanish that *********** CAN MAKE DECISIONS ON HER OWN. Anyways, we called an hour in advance of her appointment to confirm for us to stop by and Mrs. ******* answers the phone and confirms that we can stop by. Our representative ****** stops by and presents, and ******* proceeds to provide her information which would be her social and ID to see if she qualifies for our financing and she gets approved with our finance partner-Synchrony Finance. THAT IS WHAT THE TEXT MESSAGE STATES-THAT THERE IS NOW AN INQUIRY SINCE SHE DID RUN HER CREDIT. AS FAR AS THE CREDIT CARD THAT IS ONLY A STATEMENT PIECE-SOMETHING SYNCHRONY SENDS OUT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. It is not an actual credit card that they can use at stores and hold no value and IT ALSO DOES NOT GET SENT OUT TO US-IT GETS SENT OUT TO THE CUSTOMERS ADDRESS. So we sign contracts since she liked everything and we collect her signature on her contract, ask for her email to get loan docs sent to her, and after she signs them, she then takes a picture with ******, we did not attach the image since we ran out of the amount of documents we can provide but wed MORE THAN GLADLY share that image if requested. Time passes and her daughter calls in trying to cancel on her behalf but of course, the contract is not under her name so we stop for A SECOND TIME, but this time with Modest AND HER DAUGHTER. I want to emphasize her daughter to highlight the fact that she WAS NOT ALONE, so there is NO ABUSE OF THE ELDERLY HERE. We have a second meeting with Modest and her fully competent middle aged daughter and this time with Mr. ***** ********. NEVER ONCE WAS THERE ANY MENTION OF A FREE ROOF THERE IS NO SUCH THING. Everything is good to go with both the daughter and client AND WE HAVE ROOF PROJECT SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY AND MATERIALS GET ORDERED. ******* then calls days later AGAIN and this time to cancel AFTER OUR SECOND MEETING FOR THE SECOND TIME. We mention there is a cancellation fee AS HIGHLIGHTED ON THE CONTRACT THAT SHE SIGNED!!! But anyways, we left it at that. I WANT TO STATE FOR THE RECORD THAT WE NEVER FINALIZED PAYMENT WITH SYNCHRONY FOR HER AS THERE WAS NO PROJECT THAT EVER GOT DONE SO THERE IS NO LOAN OUT UNDER HER NAME WITH QUALITY HOME INNOVATIONS OR SYNCHONY FINANCE. Lastly, I want to point out the obvious and that is that MRS. ******* DID NOT POST THIS REVIEW-IT IS SOMEONE ELSE IMPERSONATING HER SINCE MRS. ******* SPEAKS NO ENGLISH. THE ***** THAT POSTED THIS REVIEW ALSO DOES NOT MATCH THE ***** SHE GAVE US TO SEND OUT LOAN DOCS. THE ***** IS UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME. SO WE WANT TO DISPUTE THIS REVIEW AS A FAKE REVIEW.

Was provided an estimate in February for a home repair. They approved me for $20k and they said they were going to start work ASAP. They didn't show up, because the gentleman said his ******* was hurt, and was going to be out for a month. I waited a month, and called back, and they gave me more excuses. They showed up a few times, for a few minutes and stole some of my husbands tools. It's been over 6 months, and now the person doesn't answer my calls or messages, and I was left with a 20k debt. I filed a complaint with the lender and it was closed because the owner advised the business was closed, when they just moved cities.

      Hello!

I am sending this email because I accidentally responded to the complaint with just my name, so this is my official response. I also CC'd the client for obvious reasons.

To begin with, I am very sorry for coming too direct but this is one of the  dumbest complaints I have ever  heard.  Unfortunately I live in an area where clients do their best to make someone look bad. 1. This is not even the clients actual email.... what does that tell you? She didn't file the complaint herself. Someone had to do it for her.

I'm going to break down the email so you guys fully understand why this complaint is NONSENSE.

If you pay attention, the client mentioned she got approved for $20k but doesn't go into detail about the 20k...... her job was never quoted for 20k. She qualified for a 20k loan. This client asked me to do something illegal for her which was take out the loan in full for her AND give her the remaining amount for PERSONAL use and not for the project. I mentioned to the client that I would help her out because she was en ex-employees mom at the time and they both asked for the ****** I was nice enough to say yes but mentioned to them that the bank would ask if everything was used for the project and that they needed to say yes. So of course, they were SO QUICK to say yes to the bank. Why didn't she file a complaint and say she was stuck with a 20k bill then when her quote was less than 20k????? Because she wanted to pocket extra money (:

Next, client is stating that after she got approved, we didn't show up to work. I have pictures of when the contract got signed and when the workers first showed up...... my ****** at the time started having sciatic issues which was extreme and had to go to the ** for medical attention. The **s advised him that he could be out for up to 3 months. How can I, the employer force to make someone work who is hurt from something serious??????? Another thing, the client is saying that we gave her more excuses but if you ask her what "excuses", her response is going to be the same. That my ex ****** was still hurt. That's all she can say..... AND the worst part of it all, is that the client herself would cross to ****** to bring my ****** MEDICATION for his injury at the time. So now I ask you.....  how could a client say that we are making up excuses when she is taking the time to cross to ****** to bring him back medication?????

Another thing to mention..... she said we stole her husbands tools... when the guys were working, they told them they could use it and they ACCIDENTLY took them home but because my ****** was out, they hadn't came back yet BUT the client has full communication with my ******, so again, why wouldn't she just reach out directly if she feels their tools got stolen?????

Lastly, client is stating that I moved cities due to this situation? I mean her son had been working for me till about last week for the love of God. This is another case of a client trying to do anything in their power to make someone look bad. Her other son had gone to my ****** page and made up some negative review without even knowing that facts, which was PURE ACCUSATIONS. I personally reached out to him and let him know that my lawyer advised we can sue for defamation since he was not even the client, was making things up, and was damaging my business reputation. He was very quick to remove his negative review..... I wonder why..... and then his younger brother (my ex employee) told me he removed it because he didn't want to get in trouble with his wife but then the client (his mom) said he took it down because the review was under his name and he was not the client. I mean, what is that BBB????? Don't do things look obvious to you guys???? I am curious to see as to what the clients response to this will be.

***** ***** ******** (apparent owner) offered the first three payments would be covered for job done. He advised me that he would be hand delivering a check to my residence of which I never received. It is disheartening to see how this business conducts itself in promising customers such offers so that they feel enticed to sign a contract. Of which I did, and have been trying to reach him since, however, he has not taken the time to fulfill his end of the bargain. I want others to know what kind of person he is, one that cannot be trusted. He also has had the audacity to say that I obtained free labor, of which one of his workers failed to communicate clearly to him. I never requested such thing. He is very rude and tries to get away from his commitment. He is not a man of his word. I have tried to get a hold of him on numerous occasions, to no avail. He did respond a few times, again only to disappoint once more. What kind of business is this? One that is carried out on false pretenses. I want people to be aware of what they are really signing up for. I made the mistake of not getting this in writing, so I hope that others will to avoid this from happening to them. It is immoral and unethical to go about offering such deals when in reality they only want to con people into signing up. This should not be tolerated. The amount that was promised amounted to $579 total. After multiple messages, he has only deposited $200 via CashApp on July 16, 2024. He has yet to respond to any of my messages after July 26 and I doubt that he will. If this post helps even one family, then it was worth the time. Please avoid doing business with such deceiving people.

To begin with, the client isn't the one who submitted this complaint. He doesn't speak a single word of English and it is his family doing it for him and misinforming for you guys. Before you guys revived complaint, I had already sent $200 to the client. The client **** ******) got free work at the time of his project for lying to my labor crew and telling them that I gave the green light for them to install 4 new lights and remove and reinstall the positioning of his 2 existing cameras he already had, which I never gave the green light to do so. What was owed for the 3 months, I made it clear to the daughter that was deducting what was charged to me for the free work the client got..... since I didn't send anymore, the decided to file a complain and misinform the BBB. Shortly after, I decided to send another $200 to the client and asked kindly if they can please remove the complaint because it is making me look bad and what they said isn't what happened. The daughter told me ****** mentioned that I do not have to give him any more money as long as I turned in my certificate of warranty so they can turn in to their insurance. After they take my warranty to their insurance, they mentioned that they still needed to get the  windstorm certification (which we NEVER mentioned we would provide to the client because it's a separate cost). I texted the daughter again to ask politely if they can remove the complaint and now she is saying that as long as I don't pay another extra $600 for their windstorm certification that they will not be removing anything. When they originally filed their complaint, it said there that their that what they were wanting was to receive their 3 months payment, now they are saying they won't remove it for ANOTHER REASON that had nothing to do with their ORIGINAL complaint. I am being taken advantage of and this is something I cannot tolerate.

Lastly, attached you will see screenshots with the daughter and how they are acting. I have already sent $400 and they are refusing to accept more money from me and won't remove complaint until I provide something else. They are using this complaint with the BBB to their advantage.

The owner, ****, promised us a year free of payments. He specifically said we would receive a check for the entire first year of payments. Now he is no longer answering calls or texts and is not holding up his end of the deal.

On Monday, ******* ** I contacted Eric ******** from Quality Home Innovations for a free roofing inspection. He came on Tuesday, ******* ** and went up on the roof and then he said he was going to come back and bring a partner with him so he could do some recordings. I had showed Eric pictures of the leaks that we have in the attic. Pictures someone had already taken in the attic of the leaks. I already having pictures, Eric said he was going to go up in the attic without anyone asking him to. I don’t know anything about roofing or about construction so I trusted in whatever he was going to need to see up there so he went up there and his partner Ray ********. Eric went up first and I heard a noise. Never thinking he would fall because no one had before. He had stepped on sheetrock and broke through my garage ceiling. Eric ******** and Ray ******** both said that they would be back that same afternoon to get it fixed I never got a call or a text from either of them. So the following day I contact Eric to see when they were going to come and fix the ceiling he said he was going to fix it but he never gave me a date or a time. I have been the one having to contact him after the incident. My husband sent him messages asking him to take responsibility and he started getting rude through messages. As a business owner and as a contractor he should know better of how to walk up in an attic and if he didn’t have a clear view of where he was walking he should’ve stopped for his safety. Many people have been up in my attic and we had never had this happen. We have dated pictures and messages of conversations. As a business owner, contractor and man, I took his word of getting this fixed but obviously is a person not to be trusted. If he can’t take responsibility of a damage he caused of only a few hundred dollars, he well can’t be trusted in a project of thousand dollars. I understand accidents happen but he lost our business after he didn’t respond well to it.
