I purchased a home from Champion Homes ********* **** ******** back on 07/31/2020 and it was delivered on 08/03/2020 and set up on 01/03/2021. It took extra long because of Covid19, which I understand. However, after we moved into the home we found many things wrong with the home, defect in workmanship that are clearly warrantable repairs that the factory should cover and it is now 19 months later and we are still waiting for the factories warranty department to follow through with one of their many many promises to send a contractor out to fix the many issues we have with the home. The major defect we have is the home has severe water leaks throughout whenever it rains. We have water leaking into the home from the air conditioning closet whenever it rains as well as the master bathroom window, the sliding glass door and the vent above the stove. The other warrantable repairs are the flooring was cut by what it looks like a utility knife throughout the home and since we've now been living in the home for ********************************************************************************************************************************** there would not have been damage. Too many things to list wrong with this home on here and I have also filed a complaint with the ***** as well in hopes to get some sort of restitution and recognition to get at least the major warrantable items repaired. My husband and I paid cash for this home and it was not cheap, however, it was cheaply and poorly made. Very disappointing and we would never recommend Champion Homes to anyone! Their Warranty staff lacks integrity and follow through and one of their staff members even sent me an email telling me that the reason my home was built so poorly was because Covid19 had their factory short staffed. Then why sell a poorly built home?? I paid extra for a quality built home and you sell me a poorly built home??Business response

After reviewing this file I understand there have been some missed opportunities. Your circumstance di occur during the height of the pandemic and COVID certainly had an impact on our business. My understanding is we had some scheduling conflicts on a couple of occasions. ***** Department of ***************************** will be conducting a formal inspection on the property on Thursday, September 15. The ***************************** administers the ***** Manufactured Housing Standards Act and regulates the manufactured housing industry in *****. Under their contract with HUD, they investigate and resolve consumer complaint items under the Standards Act. We will certainly be at that inspection and will abide by any determinations made. Champion ************** **** takes very serious our obligation to correct any defects in the original construction or workmanship of the home.

My husband and I bought our Champion Home on 6/28/19. Serial number *******************. The metal roof is leaking into the living room entrance and master closet, causing damage to the walls, ceiling, and floors. My husband placed a tarp on the roof to prevent further damage. I have attempted to fax correspondence to the business, as well as call, but unable to get through. The metal roof is warrantied for 30 years. I need this problem remedied immediately to prevent further damage. We have had issues before that took 2 years to settle, but we do not have the luxury of such a time frame now. Please assist in resolving this issue.Business response

Unfortunately the serial number indicates this home was built in the *******, ** plant. This BBB is for ********, **. Customer should contact the manufacturing plant where the home was built for assistance. I too will forward he information to them.
I can state for the record though that Champion Home Builders, Inc.'s warrants our homes free of manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase. The warranty covers only those defects which become evident within the applicable warranty period and where written notice is provided. Homeowners are responsible for normal maintenance as described in the Owner's Manual. The 30 year warranty would apply only to the material (metal) installed.

New home was set up in Sept. of 2021. ***** with Champion Homes was our contact. After several calls back and forth we finally got ***** to come and service some of the issues with our home because of the move from Burlson to ***** then to Orange. However ***** did not complete all. The panels in main bathroom still needed to be replaced because someone took what looks like a razor knife and cut it in several places. there was a dip in the floor in the kitchen where the floor has a soft spot. Vinyl siding bowing out in places outside. Water coming through vent in laundry room when it rains. Smoke detectors going off at various times all during the day and night. As well as several other small issues. Fast forward to now ************************* took over and sent **** out to try and resolve the issues. main bathroom Champion no longer has my panel so he did an overlay on half my wall with a little bit different panel, cracking my mirror in the process. He worked on soft spot in kitchen floor and got it better but did not have replacement flooring so said he would be back. He had a new door for the laundry room that he messed up cutting, so he ended up putting my damaged one back in, stating he would get the mirror the vinyl flooring and be back in a week .Now a month later he will not respond to my text and I have reached out to ************************* twice in regards to my issues, and have received no response from him as well. All we ask is that they get this completed. The mental stress they are putting upon us is uncalled for.Business response

I did communicate with **************** on Thursday 5/26 via email. This complaint before I could follow up with him. There certainly have been some missed opportunities in ******************** new home buying experience. I can only apologize. Excuses are irrelevant now. Our contract service technician picked up the necessary materials yesterday (5/26) and should be contacting **************** to schedule the appointment. Champion ************** **** takes seriously our obligation to correct any defects in the original construction or workmanship of all our new homes and we fully intend to fulfill that commitment.Customer response

I paid cash for a new mobile home to a dealership in ******,** (triple C homes) $118,000 the home was delivered 04/26/21 approx it is now 01/07/22 and we still do not have all our problems fixed with the home. the home is poorly made and has many problems which some of them over the course of 10 months have been fixed but others have not. I told champion I may have to seek legal advise and they replied then they will not fix anything if I do. so we are still waiting on some things to be fixed with our house. there is one badly bent beam under the house which they say are the transporters problem and the transporter says they are champions problem. as of today I still do not have everything fixed and are awaiting a few things they say they do not have in stock to fix our house. The didn't even install the ceiling fans/lights in our house until months later and the crew that they sent out the first couple of times complained that there was no air conditioning so they left early and didn't fix everything. we couldn't get air conditioning until certain things were done by the crews. It was over a month before we could finally move in but had to leave our things in boxes so the crew could get at the walls that had fixing to do on them. we finally unpacked most of our things and still await a few things to get fixed. this is like buying a second hand home and not a new oneBusiness response

I will need a serial number in order to respond to this complaint. All service records are kept by serial number. I can query by name but nothing is coming up for ***************************************. Please provide a serial number for the home so that I can address this concern.
