I hired Texas strong renovations ***************** to do renovations on my property. Replace 116' of privacy fence, put in 2 new gated (3' swing & 5' swing) cut out & remove a 8'x13' section of deck, replace with a step dowm 6" raise width of deck 8', build a 3' step 6" raise in front of deck, Take up needed boards to reinforce corner of deck by foundation, install extra support to help strengthen deck, fix ant rot, power wash and stain, sand needed areas. Install new ceiling under deck roofing, replace 6 vinyl siding pieces. I wa given a contract Total price $16,074 contract date is 29 Aug 2022 signed by myself and *****************. He required half of the money down to start the project. I wrote him a check for $8,037 on 7 Sep 2022 Check # *** and he gave me a receipt He hasn't done any work or even started on the project, I have text evidence on my phone where he primised to have the project done by Thanksgiving, then xmas. He said then that he would get my money back to me if he couldn't get my project done. Today isJan 21 2023 and I have not gotten my money back. He keeps lieing to me. I need help, my wife and I are Disabled Veterans and we need our money back so we will be able to hire someone else.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:This is *********************************** from *******************************************************. Yesterday the 7th of Feb has been 5 months
since I Gave ***************** My deposit Check for $8,037. I have been call him and leaving messages about him bringing
me my money. He is not responding to my call or messages. I need my money. I have all his texts to me from August 29th 2022 to Jan 21st 2023 on my phone. I even wrote them out on a paper. He has completely stopped answering my texts and
not returning my phone calls at all. the text show all the times that he has lied to me and my wife since Aug 29, 2022. I have
the original receipt that he gave me and the original quote that he gave me.His telephone number that I have been leaving messages is ************. If you can please help us, and can you send me another copy of the report, I accidently trashed it on my computer.

Hired company (Kody) to do yard drainage system.- Contract signed November 23, 2021 paid $5k down payment which was more than what he asked - Dec 8th, Agreed start date - Dec 4th, texted him inquiring about the game plan for Dec 8th - Dec 4th, he texted back saying "he would follow back up on Monday". They fell behind schedule. He said the office manager would give us an exact date to start the project on Monday if project is delayed it will only be by two or so days.- Dec 7th, he texted us saying he would put us on the schedule for Monday (Dec 13th, 2021)- Dec 21st, we texted Kody, we were concerned with the project delay. We told him our time was being disrespected. We were very clear from the start that we didn't want delays. We told him to let us know if he could not do the project. - Dec 21st, company called ***** to say Kody would show up at our home but he didn't show.- Dec 27th, we texted Kody because we were informed he didn't have the grate for the project that should have started Dec 8th. His workers dug a partial trench by hand the last week of Dec since they were already at the house and Kody had not shown. Kody showed up later that day with **** who would supervise the project but nothing got done that day. We informed Kody we wanted to cancel the project and wanted a full refund.- Dec 27th, Kody texted back, he stated he would give us a $1k discount we asked for because of the delays and give a new start date. He said he wanted to continue with the project. - Dec 29th, we texted Kody since we hadn't heard from him since Dec 27th. Kody texted back saying he would contact us within 2hrs, did not hear from him - Dec 30th, we contacted Kody, informing him we would call him on the 31st - Dec 31st, we contacted Kody informing him we had not changed our minds about cancelation of project. **Not enough space to continue. We have more info to share. We believe he is blackmailing us and threatening us to sign his document of silence
