1 starNine days ago, I had ****'s Sprinkler's come to my home to repair sprinklers and check for leaks. I was told the work was warrantied for one year.I specified that my main concerns were that my sprinklers in the front were watering the street and also some sprinklers were overwatering along parts of my yard. My water bill had doubled and I wanted to check for leaks. The installer gave me an estimate, and I also agreed to replace my sprinkler controller. The total cost of repairs was over $2,000.00.The statement I signed indicates that ****'s services included replacing 10 pop-up heads, 1 rotor and 3 nozzles. I have a small yard. This would have been the majority of my sprinkler heads. After they left, my son discovered that the sprinkler in the front was still watering the street - more so than it had been. There were also issues in the back with overwatering in two areas, and too little watering in two others areas.I called ****'s earlier this week to request a return visit to warranty their workmanship. The same installer returned today and said that the one sprinkler that is aimed at the street is the only one they did not need to replace in the front. If I did not pay them an additional $63.00 to replace that sprinkler head, I would be charged a $55.00 service fee if I did not agree to spend at least the $63.00 for an additional repair. I also disputed that I should pay $55.00 to have them return to finish what I had requested be repaired.I do not consider this to be an ethical business practice. When I called to schedule the warranty follow-up, there was no mention of a fee for warranty service days after the install.I called the customer ********************** line to ask to speak to a manager. I was told there are no managers on site and one was not available to speak to me.Charging customers for follow up to address issues with days of the initial service call is not warranty service.Review fromCourtney H

I called and made appointment to fix one zone that was not coming on. The tech Twix, said the entire valve must be replaced. I was wondering why the didn't just replace the solenoid, a $14 part, but the tech said they replace the entire thing. They then found another zone that was not working and said that valve needed to be replaced. Are these techs on commission? I declined fixing the second valve but the first valve cost $434 and now there is a leak in the front yard and I called them and they want to charge me another $99 to come out and look at the work that they did on July 5th. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!Andy's Sprinkler, Drainage, & Lighting

Hello ******** - this sounds like the technician did not fully explain our policy on valves, which we do apologize for. We do not repair valves, only replace them; this is a result of our 30+ years in business and trying to fix valves in the. In most cases, once a valve begins to fail, replacing a component (eg: solenoid) will still result in the valve failing very soon after. They are buried parts that are constantly subjected to environmental stresses, and are not meant to last forever. Attempting to "fix" a valve almost always results in an unnecessary ********************* for our customers when the valve inevitably fails anyway very soon after. As for our service call fees, yes, every new appointment you make will require a service call fee (which always includes our 10-point inspection). We do warranty all repairs for one year, so if you believe there are issues with the repairs made on the date you mentioned, please give us a call and we will be happy to start that claim process with you.Review fromGerri M

1 starDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!The City of Frisco does a complimentary check each year as a water conservation measure, they left 3 flags noting 2 head replacements and a leak. I called ****'s out to fix the leak - they flagged my entire yard and gave me a $1,300 estimate to fix everything. I declined everything except the leak repair - the $95 inspection included an inspection report which I never received and the flags were all picked up so we could not verify the issues ****'s noted. They came back out to redo the inspection, charged me $11 to leave the flags behind, gave me a report which has a flag on the the area that was initially repaired??? ***** the manager was rude and did now want to hear my greivences, said he has another call coming in that he has to take. I have used this company many times for my primary residence and investment property, NEVER AGAIN!!!Review fromScott D

1 starI received a postcard from the *********** location advertising a $55 sprinkler system inspection. I received this because I used their services in the past. I called to book an appointment and was told that New Braunfels was outside their normal area so a service fee of $75.00 would be added. From $55 to $130, just under a 240% increase. They sent me the card, and then bumped up the price when I called. They had my address so they knew I was "out of their area" . Nothing on card says extra $$ for New Braunfels. Is this a bait and switch or just consumer fraud? Either way it's bad business!!Review fromSteven F

Previously had good service but this time was terrible. Needed some above ground shrub heads installed and other heads changed to more efficient type. Had a broken one in the back yard. Work done(1600$ expensive!) but 3 heads in the back have NO water coming out. Called and texted to get tech ****** to come out, he didn't call to see if anyone home before his visits on the way back to shop after work. Seems like they did what they wanted to do and stopped. Too old to fix myself so I'll call another company to finish the work.Andy's Sprinkler, Drainage, & Lighting

1 starWe have used Andy's Sprinkler for many years in the past. Have had Andy's out 4 times this summer and charged a service call every time. Tech's have told me there is always a problem that the last tech did incorrectly! The problem began when the first tech this summer left settings for sprinkler system on winter instead of changing to summer setting. I had no idea!! Results: I have lost 2 huge hydrangea bushes, 1 large tree and many bushes across my yard front and back yard and hosta plants. When I have called to complain, they tell me you'll have to pay for another service call and this time we will send an experienced tech out. When the tech arrived he had only been with them "about a year"!
