My HVAC was leaking into my ceiling. I called my insurance company, and they sent the service provider to me as the service provider. *** service provider worked on the system, and the service provider told me that it was merely a plugged pipe. *** service provider ran some hot water through the system and then told me it was fixed. I disputed that finding with the service provider and we argued because I could still hear the dripping. *** service provider then took a closer look and informed me that the coil was extremely dirty and needed to be cleaned, but that would cost me $4*****. Relying on the service providerr professional guidance, I authorized the work. *** service provider removed the coil and then found water in the ductwork (which was causing the drip in my ceiling.) *** service provider put the coil back in and then replaced the freon and left. *** house cooled for about a day, then I called the service provider back to troubleshoot. *** service provider came back and examined the system both inside and out and stated that the coil was bad and that the service provider would have to order another coil. This took about two weeks for the coil to come in. Meanwhile temperatures were above 100 degrees in the house causing heat related symptoms for me and my family. I had an 8-month pregnant woman, a child, four dogs and myself, considered elderly @ 62 years of age. It was unbearable. We could not safely leave the doors closed/locked even at night. I had to sleep downstairs just to get sleep good enough to go to work the next day. When the coil came in, the service providerr company did the work to install it, but the service providerr employee left gaping holes in the areas needing to be sealed. I called the service provider back in to correct that. *** service provider replaced the freon again and left.*** house stopped cooling after two days. I called the service provider back and the service provider stated that the service provider must not have put enough freon in the system. *** service provider went outside, and the service provider reported that the service provider put more freon in, then the service provider left. Two days later, the system was not cooling properly, so I called the service provider back. When the service provider came out the service provider stated that the problem was now the *** valve and that the service provider would have to order another one. Statement of Damage/Redress Costs 1. May 13th, 2023, Cost 450 dollars for a coil clean (which turned out not to be the problem).2. (approx) May 15th Cost 100 dollars when service provider came back out because the house was not cooling. He stated there must have been a hole that wasnt soldiered properly, then soldiered the proposed hole and put more freon in and left. This was time and effort on my part at home, and time away from my job, resulting in lost salary, approximately two hours from the job. 3. (approx) June 1st, Cost 100 dollars service provider was called back because house wasnt cooling properly. Service provider stated that perhaps he did not fill up the freon to the right amount, so he put more freon in.
