An invalid debt was referred to this agency. Without verifying the debt, this agency proceeded to report it to my credit bureau file. I learned from my ******** member this reporting of this unconfirmed, invalid debt, caused my score to drop 20 points. I have also learned from ********, this company did not wait notify me within 5 days of receiving the file, and they did not wait 30 days to allow me opportunity to dispute the invalid debt. It is against the Fair Credit Reporting for this company to knowingly report a false, unverified debt to my credit bureau file.Business response

I want to assert that I am not liable for the debt that is linked to **********************, as there has been no contractual agreement between us. It is essential to emphasize that I have not willingly entered into any financial obligations with them. Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Inaccurate Debt Collection by Credit Management LP for ************ Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Credit Management LP for placing an inaccurate debt on my credit report, allegedly on behalf of ************.After receiving notification of this debt, I contacted ************ directly and received a confirmation letter (attached) stating that no such debt exists. Despite this, the collection agency has continued to pursue this claim, resulting in a negative remark on my credit report.I attempted to resolve this issue by following the instructions provided by the collection agency, which included filing a dispute online. However, after filling out the dispute form, I encountered an error message when trying to submit it. Additionally, I was advised to download and mail a dispute form from their website, but the link to the form also resulted in an error message.Given these challenges and the clear evidence that this debt is erroneous, I am requesting that the BBB intervene to ensure the removal of this negative remark from my credit report and to investigate the practices of Credit Management LP.Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.Sincerely,*******************************Business response

On August 5th, 2024. The Debit Collector had made contact with me by phone, in regards to the debt they were attempting to collect assuming that I owe on this balance. In that phone call *************), I briefly explained that i do not owe this debt and that there was nothing to collect in my name under the original contract and I would need proof of otherwise.
