Ad Review
BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising. These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints, and competitor challenges. BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements.
On October 10, 2022, BBB contacted Health and Wellness Business regarding advertised health claims on their website https://healthfitnesswealthbusiness.com.
Health and Wellness Business advertise claims including:
“NO MORE DIABETES”, “Why I’m introducing Ceracare. Yes, this is no gimmicks when it comes to Ceracare’s ability to manage blood sugar with loading benefits and no side effects. I mean there is nothing better than little to no side effects along with better management of pre-diabetes to Type 1 or 2 Diabetes. This is not about the commission from the affiliates but more about another resource to keep
you informed on how to defeat diabetes.”
“I mean the last thing anyone wants to deal with is diabetes and seizures down the road that can be easily avoided. That is where a custom keto diet of your choosing comes in handy for sure.”
Health and Wellness Business also includes affiliate links to Isagenix. (https://wellnesswithclifton.isagenix.com/)
Isagenix advertises claims on their website including but not limited to “Heart Shake Booster is a blend of science-supported ingredients that may reduce the risk of heart
disease and support overall cardiovascular health.”
BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing
or other objective data.
BBB requested Health and Wellness Business to substantiate the advertised claims from their website as well as affiliate products by providing evidence from recent, reliable, and
competent scientific studies or other objective data to substantiate claims the products are safe for human use and perform the advertised claims mentioned.
BBB requested if substantiation cannot be provided to discontinue the advertised claims to address BBB's concern.
As of November 3, 2022, Health and Wellness Business failed to provide BBB with substantiation of the advertised claims.
