    Hello
there is more to this story. yes the gm reman. engine is back ordered, used engine was available but customer did not want that option so we found a aftermarket remanufactured engine for customer with the same warranty as a gm reman. engine. we gave the customer options but he was determined to put a eight cylinder engine in his truck which only came with six cylinders from the factory. we tried working with customer. this vehicle was taken to a gm dealership prior to bring to our shop and it sat there for approximately 4 to 5 months. for some reason they did not want to touch this vehicle. when this vehicle arrived the windows were down and the interior was dirty from them having the windows down. we immediately put crash wrap on windows then days later we were able to get his windows up for the customer. we had vehicle in our possession for 50 days on our property. i explained if we repaired his vehicle there would be no storage charges. i also told customer if the insurance would have totaled his vehicle they too would have paid the same fees. we try to take care of all our customers and are willing to work something out for a partial refund to assist customer.
