    I contacted *** ****** on April 29th to inquire about renting her venue to host a baby shower. *** sent me a text with an infographic on her baby shower package and she informed me that she would be going out of the country for a week so it would be best to pay a $200 deposit in order to secure my event for June 15th 4-7:30pm. I discussed in detail the theme, colors, and accent wall I was needing for the event. *** assured me that she had done here comes the son theme multiple times and has been in the decoration business for over 20years. *** prided herself on her services and assured me that the stress of decorating would be alleviated from me because of her expertise. I agreed to pay the deposit to secure the event date and arranged to meet with her in person on May 12th,2024 at 11am. There was a week lapse of the time that we had spoken and i had to be reassured again on the color scheme for linen, ballon decorations, and accent wall that she would be able to provide. *** once again reassured me that she had many years of experience in the decoration industry and for me not to worry. I sent pictures of the theme colors, linens, ***************************, and accent wall I was needing to multiple social media accounts for this business, including to Evas cell phone. The day of our in person meeting on 5/12, I arrived 10 minutes after 11am and was greeted sarcastically, was told her sons were waiting for her at a restaurant and that it was Mothers Day. She then proceeded to rush through the 2 linen choices, and 2 center pieces that she provided me. Once I chose those she had her business partner bring the contract. I ask for her to clarify the event that would take place from 11am-3pm because it seemed almost impossible to clean up a venue and redecorate for a baby shower with a different theme. *** reassured me again that she had been in this business for many years. *** never mentioned the accent wall that was decorated was permanent and not customizable.

    ***************** was displeased with our services due to the fact that she was unable to fully comprehend the contractual agreement created between Z Party Upscale Events and herself. 
    The contract states clearly that Z Party Upscale Events cannot create exact replications of decor based off of inspirational photos shared by the client. The dissatisfaction of this by ***************** was expressed and Z Party offered her a few options, accept the event decor provided by Z Party and have a lovely event, she could utilize her purchased event time to bring in her own additional decorations and set them up or cancel her event all together. 

    During our get ready meeting on Sunday May 12th, ***************** was reassured by me and my partner that we would be able to create a beautifully themed party for and her guests, we asked if she had any other questions and she said no.
    Days after our get ready meeting she reached out and star asking questions that makes us realize that it was a lot of confusion on her side, we tried our best to explain the situation in a different way and we gave her different options, however she was still displeased.
    It's important to know that Z Party Upscale Events is in the business since 2016, of making its clients and all guests feel welcomed, accepted and truly celebrated. We are proud to have over 400 reviews with a 4.8
     star rating across multiple platforms and have earned each and every point. Dissatisfied clients are a part of the business and that's understandable, but it's certainly not fair to be reported for dissatisfaction based on not comprehending a signed contract or expecting outcomes and items that were never discussed or offered. 
    Just to clarify, Z Party Upscale Events is not forcing the client to cancel. After trying many times to come to an agreement, ****************** decided she did not want to work with us but decided to get BBB involved. If she decides to move forward, we are willing to host her event under the terms of our contract.

    Dear BBB, 

     

    In response to Z party upscale events: I did not receive any services to be displeased with. The condescending response of "she was unable to fully comprehend the contractual agreement" is one of the many reasons why I no longer felt comfortable renting out this venue. I am holding Mrs.****** accountable for what she told me with her words and the fact she intentionally misled me. Mrs.****** gave me the perception that she would create an accent wall similar to the inspiration photo she asked me for. I mentioned several times in our texts that I needed to know what the decor would look like and if she would be able to give me what I had asked for. 

     I was never informed that she would not even attempt to recreate it or give me anything close to it because she only uses decorations that are seen in her pictures on her instagram page. During the "get ready" meeting on May 12th, she rushed me into picking the linens and centerpieces and did not state that the accent wall and balloon ******* she had up in her venue would be the exact accent wall during the event, as she uses the same accent wall for all her parties.

     

     Mrs.****** persuaded me to trust her and her experience, any time I would attempt to clarify the plan, decorations or the allotted time to rent the venue she would repeat how experienced she was with her decoration business. Mrs.****** has a history of being condescending, rude, unprofessional, and dishonest with her customers and there have been public reviews that are similar to my situation. I tried to be patient and understanding with Mrs.****** on several occasions and I was the one attempting to compromise by bringing in my own balloon ******* and decorated arches but would only be able to do so if I added an extra hour for two-hundred and fifty dollars, which is not in her contract.

     

     I told Mrs.****** that the balloon ******* would arrive assembled as well as the arches and that I would not have to adhere anything to her wall and would only take twenty minutes or less to set it up. She made this accommodation request impossible by declining to remove her balloon ******* that would be seen above mine unless I hired the balloon artist that she has worked with previously( which is not in her contract). Mrs.****** told me my requests were an inconvenience because she had a party the next morning and uses the same balloon ******* for all her parties. After pointing out her restrictions not being listed in her contract she began yelling at me and became I-rate on the phone and this is what ultimately caused me to cancel the event.  I could not risk giving Mrs.****** the opportunity to accuse me of not honoring her contract, damaging her items in her event venue, and slandering my name or charging me for any reason that she could make up. I proposed to Mrs.****** to keep the two-hundred dollar deposit and refund me the seven-hundred and fifty dollars I paid in cash but she declined to refund any amount paid to her.  I regrettably paid in full with cash on May 12th out of convenience because I don't reside in ************** and could not meet in person to make payments that followed her payment plan.

    ****************** has made herself very clear about her dissatisfactions of our business transaction and while we have attempted to be as accommodating within reason for ******************, she has incessantly attacked our business and character. 
    She has been extremely revengeful due to the outcome of our interactions. 
    It has gotten to the point that this would be considered a complete defamation of character. 
    ****************** has personally gone out of her way to search through our hundreds of positive and highly rated reviews to find the few lower rated ones and re-share these across social media platforms, she has recreated negative posts and continuously tags our business page and even our personal social media pages trying to shame our business and for how hard we have worked to making it what it is today, this is completely unacceptable. 
    Z Party Upscale Events has been in the event hosting and party decorating business for many years and our thousands of satisfied clients speaks volumes for itself, we will no longer tolerate our business being attacked by ******************.
    It is clear by now to all parties involved that ****************** misunderstood what the expectations of this event were but after offering ****************** other options in regards to her event she has yet to make an acceptance.
    Z Party Upscale Events stands firmly behind its contract and the agreement made between us and our clients.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    The business owners have not refunded my security deposit within the written time-frame of their contract, the event venue was never used. I had to cancel the event that was planned on 6/15/2024 due to the unprofessional and difficult personality of *** and *******.
    As a customer who has been very patient and compromising, it was in my best interest to protect myself against false accusations from the owner of Z party upscale events or any hostile behavior from Mrs.*** ********************  business review that was posted about my interactions with this business is true, factual, and typed in good faith so that others in ************** will not be taken advantage of from the wrong doing of Z-Party Upscale Events.
