On 06/28/24 I went in to MK Spa & Nails located at ************************************* Ste *****************************************. I had been previously gifted a gift certificate to MK Spa for $80 and was there today to use the gift certificate I was gifted. As I was seated in the pedicure chair I selected the $80 pedicure service that was intended to be used for the $80 gift certificate I have. The $80 certificate was gifted to me for their $80 pedicure package, which is their highest pedicure package as a gift so I could be fully pampered. I told them I have a gift certificate for the $80 package so I wanted to do that package for my pedicure and then I would get my eyebrows done and pay for that service plus tips. During this time as the water was filling up I reached down to my purse and pulled out the certificate. The workers then stated they could not honor the gift certificate as they are new owners and the gift certificate that I have wasnt from them. I stated to them that their business name is still exactly the same as it states on my gift certificate and there isnt an expiration date on my gift certificate. The owner continued to state that no he was not going to honor my $80 gift certificate and that he was the new owner of the business. I continued to say that my $80 certificate should still be honored and that the business name and packages were still exactly the same. He stated that he could only offer me a 10% discount on the services. 10% discount isnt good enough for me when I have an $80 gift certificate to this business with this exact business name on my certificate with the same exact package being offered. At this time I ended up packing up my stuff and left.
