    I have been unable to get a WPI-8 certificate (windstorm certification) since AM Services re-roofed our building at ******************************************************* in 2018. I see two certification applications submitted on the ***** ********** of ********** Windstorm site. One was cancelled and one is missing a signed and sealed Inspection Verification, Form ***-2E. I am unable to insure the property for windstorm coverage without the windstorm certification. I have reached out to the owner, *********************** by email and by phone many, many times. She will not answer my calls, or my emails. The last contact I had was by email on January 17th. I can not get this resolved.

    I understand your frustration however, AM Services has completely fulfilled the work obligation. We followed every protocol/procedure through your project and the engineer hired is a confirmed licensed and registered engineer who was paid in full. We have reached out several times on your behalf in order to rectify the issue but to no avail. My hands are tied in this as they have failed on their end and not updated the filed forms. I will be sending the phone numbers to both the engineer and engineers assistant as you may have better luck contacting them directly. We do sincerely apologize for this issue as we have never had this happen before and have used this engineering service many times prior. I will continue to advocate on your part in an effort to rectify this situation.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    It is your responsibility as the contractor to fulfill your obligation as described in your invoice work description.  I hired and paid YOU and YOUR company to provide the re-roofing and the ***-8 certification that came with it.  YOU hired and paid the engineer. His obligation is to YOU and your obligation is to ME the CUSTOMER! 

    I just want what I paid for, so I can insure the property with windstorm coverage.

    I understand your frustration and as I have stated AM Services will continue to pursue the windstorm certification for you. We are also very disappointed with the current issue and are still consistently contacting the engineer to resolve this issue. AM Services is no longer using this engineer as a result of this situation, and we ask for patience as we are diligently working on a resolution.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The re-roofing I paid you for was done on December 7, 2018.  It has been almost five years ago! Your invoice says allow 4 to 6 weeks for TDI to post *** certificate on their website. I have been actively reaching out to you for years! Your responses have been few and far between, WITH NO RESOLUTION.  

    I have been more than patient! 

    I will give you my thoughts on resolving this since your only resolution is "let me keep trying". Hire another engineer or refund me what I paid you; so we can both be done and move forward.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    As this issue has been going on for years I do expect the new engineer to provide the *** certification on the property within 60 days.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    This complaint has been reopened due to the ***-8E certificate being received inaccurate. The occupancy type says "Residential" and it should say Commercial. The building type says "House" and it should say Office. The **** office has confirmed that these errors must be corrected to have a valid *** certificate. I have reached out to the owner, *********************** by email many times after receiving the inaccurate certificate and she is not responding.

    Regarding Complaint ID# ******  

     

          I have responded to all complaints within regards to Mrs. ********************************** Attached is the windstorm certification of compliance for her roof.  For any miss information changes the owner is needing to contact the Engineer herself for any changes to her certificate.  The certified engineer information if filed with TD which the homeowner can obtain.  AM Services *** has completely fulfilled the work obligation and has followed every protocol/procedure through the project.  It solely up to the homeowner to contact the licensed registered engineer on file for any changes to the certificate.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I do not want to be dealing with the engineer she hired to modify the information that should have been accurate to begin with.  The occupancy type 

    should never have been a residential house as the building is clearly a commercial office.  It has a business sign in the front of the building and they were 

    paid by a business check. 

    It should be the roofers'  responsibility to ensure the Windstorm certificate had accurate information before it  was provided to the customer.
