Had a accident with a deer in December of 2021. Took my truck to **********************'s to have the repairs made. Went back a month later to pick up truck the headlights were still broker, wheels had overspray on them, paint was fished eyed had runs all in it and my transmission was never touched. He collected money for a bumper from my insurance company but I had to go but the bumper and take it to him. He had my receiver to my trailer hitch out of my truck and had been using it.(THE BACK OF MY TRUCK WAS NOT DAMAGED!!!) I left with my vehicle at the end of February with the understanding that I was going to bring the truck back in and they were going to repair what was still messed up. On April 19th I had to call my insurance company again because I had transmission fluid leaking out of my truck, they advised me to take it back to **********************'s and have them fix the transmission, took it back they kept it another month got it back and noticed while at the shop they had busted my fender (owner said they had buffed it to hard) they had taken my battery off and put a new one on when asked they could not give an expiations as to why they did it. They put the battery on backwards and fried my ***** link, bcu module, head unit to radio, onstar, hands free, wifi, backup camera. Transmission is still not working correctly. I went back to the shop to talk with the owner Evan ********************** about all this issues that were wrong he told me to get my SH** and leave his F**ing property and not to come back. To date I have been out ******* on top on what my insurance company paid ******. I have been unable to work and I have lost several jobs because my truck has been broken down. I have taken my truck to 2 different shops and they have given me estimates on what it will take to get my vehicle back working properly.

    Re: Complaint ID ********

We did repair Mr. ******* 2016 GMC ****** ****. We completed the initial repair on January 28, 2022. Mr. ****** told us he hit a deer and ran through a fence. The initial estimate for repairs was $20,652.45 and did not include a transmission. We were able to get a supplement approved for additional repairs and we replaced everything Mr. ****** requested. This included new headlights, new style GM tow mirrors, new fog lights and a remanufactured transmission.

We would never let a paint job leave here looking like Mr. ****** described. We use quality PPG products and warranty our paint refinishes. There was a little overspray on the wheels but Mr. ****** was in a hurry and did not have time to wait for us to wash and detail his truck. Overspray can be washed off with the correct product. However, he received brand new wheels through the supplement we filed later.

We never used Mr. ******* trailer hitch; we have plenty of them here.

Mr. ****** did bring us a paint-to-match bumper that he told **** he already had.  We painted that bumper to match his truck and installed it for him, per his request.  We did purchase and install new fog lights in this bumper.

Mr. ****** was in a hurry to get his truck back because he has a Hot Shot business and uses it for work. The transmission was not on the original estimate and is not common with a deer hit.  Since Mr. ****** was unhappy about the transmission, **** contacted the insurance company and requested approval for a transmission, and new wheels. Mr. ****** received new wheels because they were scratched from the fence, not because of overspray.  It did take some time to get the transmission approved, ordered, and delivered.

Mr. ****** came in our office on one occasion with a loud and boisterous attitude. **** walked him outside and told him he could take his truck and go somewhere else, or he could calm down and we would be willing to repair his truck.  Mr. ****** apologized for his behavior and left his truck for repairs on 4/25/2022.

We did all the repairs to Mr. ******* GMC Truck according to and as listed on the supplement.  There was a delay in receiving some of the parts.  Unfortunately, that is common this year in all shops, due to circumstances out of our control.  While doing the repairs we did replace two batteries on Mr. ******* truck, at no charge to him, because his were old and out of date.  We DID NOT install them backwards; they do not fit in the space that way.  The GMC Truck is built with a main fuse that will blow to protect the other circuits if by chance that should happen. We did not create his electrical problems, the things he listed worked fine when the truck left our shop.

We did not bust Mr. ******* fender buffing it, the fender was steel not plastic or fiberglass.

We worked extremely hard on Mr. ******* truck and did everything we could to repair it to his satisfaction.  The supplemental repairs were completed on May 20, 2022, with the final repair cost of $26,528.03. We gave Mr. ****** $250 off his deductible.  Mr. ****** was only out his half of the deductible, which was $250 and his rental car charges of $425, for a total of $675.  When Mr. ****** left with his truck, he expressed how pleased he was with the repairs to his truck and thanked ****.  We regret that Mr. ****** has since changed his mind, but we are certain the truck is not in need of any major repairs unless it has been in another accident.  We do offer warranty on our work and the transmission came with a six-month warranty. If there are any issues with the transmission, or the repairs we will be glad to warranty them through our shop.

    Regretfully,

    **** Bruner
