Real Garage Door Service - the worst service ever! After my garage door stopped working in early December, my home warranty company made an appointment with the Real Garage Door Service company on 12/14/2024. The technician came and after spending less than in minute in my garage collected the check for the visit and left promising to get back to me after ordering and getting the new garage door opener. And they never did! A month later I still have to manually open the garage door… After two weeks of waiting, I started calling, sending text messages and emails to the technician and company office manager almost daily but practically all my attempts to contact them failed – most of my calls went to an answering machine and were never answered, the text messages were either ignored or got automatic replies such as “may I call you later?”. A week ago, I was able to get through and talked to the office manager who said that they received my opener some time ago and she was surprised that it had not been installed yet. She set up an appointment for Friday, January 10th after 2 pm but, obviously, the technician never showed up although we were waiting at home the whole day. All my attempts to contact them yesterday and today failed as usual. I would never use Real Garage Door Service again! Michael R 1/11/2025

My garage door has had ongoing issues for the past few months with not opening and closing fully or sometimes at all. I have a home warranty policy and they contracted with Real Garage Door Service each time. Isreal Reyes (the owner) came out for the THIRD call on April 27 at 8:15 am (he came out for the second call, too, on March 24). This time, he said he thought I had a circuit board issue since the last TWO fixes didn't take (the first was on Jan 20). I asked about whether the duct tape on wires around the two sensors could also be an issue. He capped them off and said he thought that would fix the problem. He raised and lowered the door twice. Two hours later (10:50am) I called to report that the door failed again to properly open and close. No answer to my call, nor a return call. I called again on Friday and received a text with a video and the message "Isreal said he would go back next week but wanted me to message you this." I tried the fix in the video, but what he demonstrated wasn't an issue, and reported that to Real Garage Door Service with a request to let me know when Isreal would be able to return. I have sent a subsequent text and called three times. No answer to calls, one answer to a text (on 5/3) saying the person would ask Isreal "if he can go tomorrow." No confirmation, no Isreal, no integrity. I have had a non-working garage door for a week and an empty promise to return. I may as well have flushed my money, and my time, down the toilet. You'll probably have to do the same should you choose to contract with Real Garage Door Service.

The office spoke to Ms Bain about going out but after going over her paperwork with Isreal , he asked the office to order her a whole new opener. She lives in Galveston and the office is in Cypress That’s a 3 hour round trip so rather than go out to tell her we’re ordering her another opener we went ahead and submitted to the home warranty for another unit. We’ve already tired fixing the circuit board . The office was suppose to call or email her the information. I called the customer and texted her but no reply back. We’re just waiting on the home warranty to give us an approval to replace. Thank you

I received an email from BBB with a response by this business, but am unable to reply via the link provided. I have a reply to a few of their comments. 1) They state that they spoke to me about coming back out to my home, but that "after going over her paperwork Isreal asked the office to order a whole new opener." No one "spoke" to me. Every one of the four calls I made between 4/27 and 5/2 to request assistance went to voice mail, and none were returned. I received a text on 4/29 which is mentioned in my initial review. I received a text on 5/2 after my fourth call stating "Good afternoon I will talk to Isreal today to see if he can go tomorrow." They did not confirm and he did not show up. 2) "She lives in Galveston and the office is in Cypress. That's a 3 hour round trip to rather than go out to tell her we're ordering her another opener we went ahead and submitted to the home warranty for another unit." Why would someone need to come out here to tell me they're ordering me a new unit? Why not answer or return one of my four phone calls, or text me, to tell me? I find it more than a little suspect that it was only following my BBB review and two others I posted that they reveal their decision to review my paperwork and submit a claim to my home warranty company for "a whole new opener." For the life of me I can't figure out why their office manager, or Isreal, neither answered my calls nor called or texted me to give me this piece of, to me, vital information. Why would they need to come out here to tell me that? A phone call or text is much more economical. 3) "We've already tried fixing the circuit board." Isreal DID NOT attempt to fix the circuit board. He MENTIONED it, but no attempt to FIX it was made. 4) "The office was supposed to call or email her the information. I called the customer and texted her but no reply back. We're just waiting on the home warranty to give us approval to replace." Let me be clear. NO ATTEMPT was made prior to my BBB review to resolve this matter.
