My name is *********************. I came in the the apartment looking to rent for me and my partner. They show me a townhome and I love it despite the area it was in. So I did the process on the 10/30/23 and paid the deposit which was 328. I was told to come back that same day at 2 pm to fill out more paper work. me and my partner came up there with all the information they needed. Before we left we was told that we got approve by ***************************, then she turn around and said we wasn't approve because it 2 energy bill on my credit. that was 7 years old and was about to fall off. I was mad cause I was told that we was approve. So I ask her is there anything else we can do. She said let speak with her manager. The manager said that if I paid the 2 bills in full then she will accept us. I thought that was crazy to pay something off when it about to fall off anyways, so we left. I then emailed ******* to ask will she let us do it if I made payment arrangements for the 2 items. She emailed me back and said yes. We then went up there to make sure if I did this we would move on with the process. We asked her 3 times if I did this we would move on to the next step and she said once I showed proof that I made the argument we would accept and move to the next step. So I went home and did just that. The next day I sent her proof that I started the arrangement. When I called to make sure she got them. She then told me that there was a miscommunication between her and her manager and they would not accept me making arrangements and they will not be moving forward. At this point, I'm stressed out, sad, and mad. Because we asked her and made sure if I did this we would be able to move on just for her to tell me they wouldn't do it. So I spoke with the manager and she told me that she was sorry she wasn't listening to what ******* was asking and even if she wanted to approve us she couldn't because the 48-hour period has already ended. They had me doing all of that knowing they weren't going to approve of us anyways. This is wrong. And something need to be done
