    I trusted Love Field Auto to work on my car because they had positive ****** reviews but little did I know what I was in store for. I was charged $595 for them to replace 2 sensors and the cabin air filter. The knock sensor cost $150, but the air filter and oil sensor are $15 parts. So I was overcharged for a 1-2 hour job. They also told me I needed a new oxygen sensor, power steering pump, and serpentine belt, and they wanted to charge me another $770 to replace those.I got a second opinion from a different mechanic shop, and they couldn't find ANY code from the computer when they plugged in the diagnostic reader. They looked at the power steering pump and told me it was in good shape, I just had some residue from a previous leak that I had fixed in the past.Several months after my first visit the knock sensor code came back, and they said the sensor "had come loose," so they "tightened it back up," whatever that means. Now another few months have gone by, and the code is back again. Who knows if they even changed the sensor in the first place. When I returned and told them the knock sensor was still not fixed they refused to attend me because they saw I had posted a negative review. They were extremely offended that I would not give them 5 stars.Normally they offer all customers coupons and discounts in exchange for a 5 star review...That is why they appear to have positive ratings. This is a dishonest way to do business.I would avoid this shop at all costs. PV Auto is another local mechanic I found to be very honest and affordable.
