I subscribed to Real Geeks in Jan. 2018 with promises of how their website platform would generate huge amounts of leads. That was not the case but it was a nice looking website. The price was $201/mo. The price remained at this rate until 3/14/22 when I was raised to 301/mo. It is automatically deducted from my credit card and I unfortunately didn't notice the difference until Feb. 2023. When I called them, they said they sent me an email letting me know. I went back and looked through the mountain of emails that I get from them and found one approx. six week before the price change. About half way through the email message body they said they would be raising it or I could email them stating I didn't want them to and they would extend my price for a year. When I called to cancel, the lady informed me that she would charge me an additional month because I needed to give her a 30 day notice. I informed her that I would never come back and I would let everyone that I could know about the way they do business if she was going to take this approach. She said I would never come back anyway so they were going to charge me. She then hung up on me. I called in to escalate and then got an email from the original sales lady **********, and she said that they had canceled my account and were not charging me an additional month (interesting how things are just "company policy" until they aren't).I have now filed a dispute with my credit card and am awaiting the results. I did ask the salesman if I sent her an email stating that I would be taking her car and she didn't see the email, is it now legal for me to take her car? I had no response. I also told ********** that if she could show me where I signed stating that taking this money from me was okay, I would drop the whole thing. No response. I am now wanting $1,100 back for the **************************************** Under my nose? yes! Shame on me? yes! Theft? yes! In no other scenario would this be anything but theft.

Real Geeks has been obstinate and has not contacted me in any way. My credit card refunded me three months worth but that is as far back as they can refund. What Real Geeks did was very scammy and I hope my complaint will be published to make any new clients of theirs aware of who they are dealing with.

"the clients' services will continue and be charged monthly to their credit card until canceled. After the one (1) year of service, the term is  month to month and can be canceled with a 30 day notice."

I am rejecting this response because:   The response that they gave is I'm sure buried in their contract but the reason that they raised their price by 50% deceptively is because they knew that they would catch many off guard. This is the route that many companies like this take to die. Once their clients don't trust them, it's over. They are frauds; if they wanted to be upstanding and charge people like I do in my business, with a contract that we both talk about and agree to, I would have been able to weigh that value. They obviously knew that this would be a major problem so they pulled a little line out of their contract and risked their companies morals on it. If this is such a great contract that they want to lean on, I would love to see where I initialed or signed this change or next to the clause where they could change it. I don't think they will have it so I'm sure they won't send it. RIP Real Geeks, it's a matter of time...

Real geeks have promised to have my website up and running within 30 days. when I contact them thru email about the site still not working, they refer me to watch videos to fix the problems. all the videos they refer me to regarding ******** are outdated and do not work. They have set me up with a live person who I can text with any problems but he does not answer me. My credit card is now been charged $299 + tax and my site is still not working. I would like a full refund and I want to cancel my website thru them.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/12/15) */ We were able to work with ******* to get his website launched. We also offered to build his site for him so he is pleased with it, along with additional trainings to help him learn how to market his site on ******** and use the tools our platform provides. As of 11/28/2022, ******* has decided to stay with Real Geeks and is using the platform. His first invoice has been returned to him because the payment was disputed with his card issuer and we did not fight the dispute.

I signed up for Real Geeks (RG) on March 31 after speaking with a representative persuaded me by saying " That I need to consider RG because my current website that I had was not user friendly and couldn't capture leads like a RG website could" After being told how bottom tier my current website through out the call and how it was ideal for me and how the new RG website would succeed my current one with top of the line lead capturing. I signed up. Months have gone by and paying $299 a month. The RG site didn't stand on what is was said to be able to do even at bare minimum. I put in a cancellation for it July 2022 and got a snarkry email correspondence back saying " You've only been with us 4 months". In those four months, the RG site couldn't even produce as told it could even at at bare minimum. Even throughout the time frame was with RG, they tried to sell me more "add on" to get traffic to my site. I own my domain, I can see the traffic wasn't changing much from what I previously had with my old website hosting. What was the $299 doing? The rep that was trying to sell me on "add on" for google and Facebook ads said she can get me traffic for my site for an additional $1000.00!!! What!! I truly feel like this was a complete overall scam from the complete beginning and now discovering all these similar other complaints, I'm mortified!!! Now have they never to "need to talk to me" cancellation 30 min chat to manipulate me to stay longer. I will never sign up for a service like this again especially after they belittle what I previously had and still could deliver beyond it!! I want my money back and I want to be left alone. I don't receive no further advertising from this scamming company.

I bought a service from RealGeeks that is a CRM and marketing. Before I joined RealGeeks someone from sales told me that i could use Facebook through RealGeeks to advertise my business and that the advertising on Facebook cost not much and that I can determine the amount I want to spend for Facebook advertising, and I was told that the advertisement pay per click is. After I signed a contract with them for 6 month they told me that the Facebook advertising $500 a month is. I was shocked and canceled my membership because as a starter real estate agent, I would not be able to Pay additional $500 plus what I pay them monthly for CRM which is $300 is a total of $800 a month. They ignored my cancelation and tried to charge me another $304 for the month July. This company is misleading people! I want a refund of what I paid until now which is $304 and ask a cancelation of my subscription without any penalty, because for early cancelation they want custumers to pay a penalty of $500. RealGeeks is giving wrong information to people to subscribe and after that hoping to get this cancelation fee if customers cancel their membership/subscription earlier that 6 months. RealGeeks needs to give the correct information to people who wants to subscribe and not mislead us!

Business Response /* (1000, 27, 2022/10/10) */ ***Document Attached*** Hi, we resolved this issue with the customer directly by refunding their money and letting the customer cancel their contract with us without penalty. The customer was upset because he didn't realize the cost of paying our team to market his site on Facebook. Our costs include a management fee and ad spend budget that goes directly to Facebook. The cost is broken down clearly on our sign up form (screenshots attached), but **** still had some confusion. He did not want to move forward with our platform only and no marketing. ****'s desired outcome was for us to agree to lower the cost of our services, which wasn't a possibility. We agreed to refund this first invoice, but he had already disputed the charge. We did not fight the dispute so his card issuer returned the money to him (stripe evidence attached). We canceled his platform without penalty, as our product and service were not a good fit for his budget at this time.

RG Facebook sales team up sold my group on leads that did not qualify as leads for our target audience. After expressing concern we were assured they had enough control to provide viable leads. Unfortunately, through high pressure and misleading sales tactics were sold a contract for six months. Even though were verbally promised we could cancel the contract should the leads not be as described, RG has gone back on their word and is now just passing us around from one employee to the next. We are seeking a full refund for the FB marketing campaign for services not rendered.

I signed up to get a website and lead generation through google ads with real geeks. My contractual period with them ended March 2021. I emailed them to get confirmation of the end date well in advanced and confirmed with them I was not going to renew any services with them. They kept charging me. I tried getting in contact with them via phone and email numerous times and they never helped me with this. They don't allow me to remove my payment method from their website. Today I received another charge, they are still charging me for a service I cancelled many months ago.
