    Two days ago I got home from work & had a yellow notice left on my door that said my gas had been turned off & I had to call to have service restored. This was not due to any fault of my own. My bills have been paid. They are working on the lines in the area. I called yesterday & a tech was scheduled to come out today between 8a-noon. I took the day off of work to be here. At 9:30 a, I get an automated call that a tech will be here in ***** minutes. By 1:30p no tech & no phone call, no email, zero communicationso I call again. There was supposedly an emergency, but they are still coming today. Fast forward to 4:30p, still no tech, so I call again. After waiting on hold, Im told that there has been another **************** cannot give me an exact time of when a tech will be out. So, I missed a day of work for no reason, its 8pmand I still have no service! I asked the *** why they schedule preventive maintenance like this & turn peoples gas off with no warning if they do not have the manpower to restore service in a timely manner. Its just 1 excuse after another. This company is a joke. The only reason they have customers is because people do not have the ability to choose their provider. ******** customer ***************** of work. ZERO Stars.

    I am reaching out to express my deep concerns regarding the recent experiences with gas leaks on my street. This month, I had to call Atmos Energy twice due to strong gas odors around my home. When your technician visited last Monday, they addressed the leak at my home, but it became apparent that another nearby leak was also present and not addressed. I am concerned that only the immediate area around the call is being checked, instead of assessing the vicinity for additional leaks.Last night, my neighbor had to report a similar gas smell, which confirms this is a recurring issue affecting the entire street. I strongly believe that your technicians should be inspecting the broader areanot just the location of the initial call. Additionally, if monthly meter readings are already taking place, it would be reassuring if gas leaks could also be checked as part of this routine.Years ago, a house in our area experienced a tragic explosion due to a gas leak. I am determined to avoid a similar incident, and I am struggling to feel secure in my own home knowing these risks remain. Please consider scheduling a thorough check for gas leaks across the whole street. This step could help protect us all from a potentially devastating accident.Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.     Had an action notice left in my door to schedule a meter change; call to schedule an appointment the tag read. This was approximately two weeks ago. The appointment had not been scheduled to date. Today my gas was turned off without any warning, no communication written on the first notice (which I still have,) no phone call, no email, zero communication stating this. To have service restored I had to call and am now waiting on the technician that turned it off to come back and restore service. This was not a have not paid the bill disconnect, this is only because there was an appt such to change the meter and that was verified by the customer service rep. I have a valid telephone number and email on file with Atmos that could have easily been used to communicate any intent to disconnect our service. *********************** at Atmos needs to have an understanding of customer service and communication. ********************** should be aware they have service technicians providing such poor customer service to their clients. They truly deserve a zero star if it were an option.

    A service reconnection fall out. The technician claimed he came to my house around 8:19 am and claims he sent a text around 9 am so. I took the morning off from work and the technician never came, no door hanger left, no call or text prior to showing up. So that's the indicator that this technician is shady and should be repremended

    Because Atmos is a monopoly they have stolen millions of dollars from Texas consumers. My electric company charges $4.95 for having an account. ********************** charges $22.30. A difference of $17.35 a month. I've been a customer for over 30 years. ********************** has stolen over $6,000.00 from me. If you multiple this number by the number of their Texas customers, they have pulled off the biggest heist in Texas history. I can only assume that they have bought off the Texas Legislature in order to continue to ************* of their money and dignity. I think the officers of Atmos should be prosecuted and serve time for what they have done. Theft is a crime.

    Zero stars. They overcharge and blame work on the gas lines for our high bills. They misread our meter too and never make the situation right for us. Our current bill is $1300 when last months was $36. I am sick and tired of this!

    I purchased my home in August 2023 and was under the assumption that my utilities were all electric. 9 months later a man shows up at my door to disconnect gas I had no knowledge of. I called Atmos energy to connect my gas and asked that I not be back billed for charges I had no knowledge of and never agreed to. I was assured by a supervisor on a recorded call that I would not be billed. A week later I received a bill of $494.24 being billed all the way back to August. When I called to speak to a supervisor again I was told that their corporate office decided to bill me because gas was used. I asked that they pull the call to let them hear the supervisor assure me that I would not be back billed and that my services would only be charged starting on the day after I called which is June 6, 2024. They pulled the call and acknowledged the supervisor assuring me I would not be back billed and still they insisted that I needed to pay the amount billed. Atmos energy showed an extreme lack of care, and they do not honor their word. I was offered a payment plan for a bill I was told I would not receive. This type of activity is criminal, and because they are a larger company they do not care! Prior to June 5, 2024 the day one of their technicians showed up at my door, there was literally no attempt to contact me by mail or phone. There was no knowledge of or agreement to service and still they are billing me. Its not right. They do not do good business nor do they care about the people they service.

    I recently moved from ****** to ******* and called Atmos Energy to cancel my service and requested it to be cance3dl on May 25, which was the last day of the billing cycle. May 25 was a Saturday so the service was canceled on May 28 (the agent I spoke to did not tell me service could not be canceled on a weekend). As a result I was billed for a month of use ($32.23), although I did not use the service. When I called to complain and see if I could get the final charge waived I was told there was nothing they would do. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and every ***** counts. I would strongly discourage any one from using Atmos Energy. They are not customer friendly or helpful

    Atmos Energy charges you a minimum of $39.38 per month even if you have no usage. I was charged two months in a row for this amount and did not use any gas. After canceling, the final bill was for 2 days and they still charged $39.38. This seems to be very unfair and I wish I had a choice in who to use for gas service.
