Purchased a vehicle from Audi Dallas on Dec 21, 2021 for my Significant Other, ***** **** as a Christmas Present. Title Transfer was Rejected by Texas DOT on March 8, 2021. We were never notified by Dallas Audi of the Title Rejection. When no title was received in the mail, contacted Dallas Audi and was told it was a Typo issue. Despite continued assurances from everyone including the General Manager, after 14 months we have still not received a Texas Title for the vehicle. The vehicle is of course unusable at this time. Legal action is now proceeding.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/03/29) */ ***** ******* first reached out to me via phone around Oct 2021 in regards to his significant other, ***** ****, not receiving the title to the Mazda that she had purchased back in Dec of 2020. I immediately reached out to our title clerk, Kim K*******, to find out more information regarding the situation. The title was a Missouri title and we submitted for duplicate title. We stayed up to date with Ms. **** but for reasons out of our control the process took much longer than expected. We found out at the beginning of March that the title had actually been sent to the previous owner instead of the dealership. We immediately sent a runner to the customer's home to pick it up so that we could send it to the state for processing. As of 3/23/2022 we received the white slip from the tax office showing ***** **** as the owner. To the best of my knowledge the issue is resolved and she should be receiving her title from the state of Texas. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/03/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Actually spoke to Dallas Audi in August 2021 and we have still not received Title as of March 30 2022. The fact that the Title has been promised in 2 or 3 weeks is the same story we have heard for the last 8 months. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/04/04) */ We understand that this has been a longer than expected process, and even more so, we know that it's been frustrating. However, as we've discussed many times, a title coming out of Missouri was delayed for several reasons. Unfortunately, many of these were out of our control. Including the state of Missouri being backed up and sending it to the wrong address once they processed the title. We have received the white slip with ***** **** as the owner. We spoke to ***** and sent her copies of the paperwork so she had proof it was processed. Her title should be coming in the mail from the state any day now. We have been communicating with Ms. **** as we've received updates from the tag offices during the process. ***** ******* was not part of the transaction, nor on the title work, so we have not communicated with him directly. Instead, we updated Ms. **** as we have additional information to share, and will continue to do so.
