Specifically, the submission details consumer confusion regarding PureFit KETO's claim that the product is supported by Shark Tank judges and was featured on ABC's Shark Tank.
BBB has confirmed that the images appearing on PureFit KETO's website were taken from a separate Shank Tank episode that does not mention PureFit KETO. Internal research has been unable to locate any episodes of Shark Tank that featured PureFit KETO.
BBB NCTX has multiple concerns regarding the company's marketing claims. The company's website claims that its PureFit KETO supplements can achieve dramatic weight loss results with little to no effort, advertises a "100% money back satisfaction guarantee", claims that the products are "100% clinically proven", contains "all natural ingredients", is "GMO Free", is available for a "limited time only", and also claims the product is "the easiest way to burn fat".
It is unclear whether consumers will be charged a continual fee after purchasing products, also known as a "Negative Option", since the terms included on the company's website fail to disclose this.
Notably, the company has also advertises "UPDATE: Due to popular Social Media & TV demand our stores are struggling to keep supply in stock. As of Tuesday, 6/26/2018 we do have a limited supply IN STOCK and ready to ship within 24 hours."
It is important to note that this advertisement continues to update on a daily basis, and presumably has been since the website was first launched on April 4, 2018.
BBB advises consumers to seek medical advice before taking any supplements. BBB has attempted to contact the business to seek substantiation for its advertised claims, yet the company provides no contact information on its website or social media.
