Pattern of Complaint:

BBB has recently identified a pattern in consumer complaints regarding the marketplace behavior of the company The Tot Baby Corporation DBA The Tot. Specifically, BBB has received complaints alleging that The Tot:

 

~has not sent purchased items out for delivery while continuing to advertise products online for sale;

~the few items delivered to consumers are of inferior quality make and/or arrived broken/damaged;

~poor and/or no customer service response from the company;

~and moreover, delays in providing refunds to consumers when requested.

BBB sent correspondence via postal mail and email to The Tot on December 19, 2023, requesting they address the pattern of complaints.

As of January 9, 2024, The Tot has not responded to any BBB correspondence in any medium and complaints are unresolved and/or unanswered.

    4/19/2023 $202.18 A baby play mat For months their customer service email said it was out of stock and the delivery date will be delated. They told me this multiple times.I just want my money back. I dont want the playmat. There is no number to call and no one will ever help if I try to email.     I placed an order in June of 2023 which never arrived. When I inquired, I was told there was a delay but the I should be receiving the order soon. I was offered the option to wait or receive a refund. Having purchased from this vendor before, I decided to wait. Since then I have not received my order or refund despite further inquiries and now, customer service seems to no longer exist. Very frustrating.

    This business is operating as a scam now. Purchased several items in late July of 2023. After no items were sent, I emailed customer service and was told that there was a warehouse delay, but I would receive my order. That was four months ago, and many emails later. **************** kept emailing me that I'd receive my order, or offering store credit (but never a full refund or actually fulfilling the order). I think they were just biding time. My order was never sent out, customer service is no longer responding. The items continue to be marked as in stock on their website in order to trick more buyers into ordering them. Do not waste your money, these people should be shut down.

    I placed an online order for $650.49 on Oct 1, 2023 from TheTot.com. The order confirmation came through, which promised a tracking number upon fulfillment. My credit card was charged for the full purchase. No tracking information came through. I have not received any package. I have messaged the help ********** times since then, each with a receipt confirmation and promise of reply from customer service within 3 business days, citing potential delays due to high traffic. It has been nearly two months and no reply to any of the multiple ticket numbers credited in their system. There is no phone number provided and the numbers I found online are all disconnected. This is unacceptable and fraudulent. I would like my order fulfilled and sent without delay. Or for the business to acknowledge fraud and refund. I will pursue further if no response or resolution is made.

    I placed two order with this company for hundreds of dollars. The orders never came. Ive reached out 5 times via email and Instagram with no response. I dont know why they are leaving their website available for purchases if they are no longer in business and why they are not refunding money for items they arent sending. Im also concerned that the reason we bought from them (the Tot test) is fraudulent now! Beware!!!

    Hi there,I placed an order with The Tot on 8/14/23 (order number T216168112) for $145.20 and after one month still had not received my order. I emailed the company twice and at first received responses saying that there were warehouse delays but that if I wanted to cancel for a refund, they would honor the full amount. I gave it another week and then cancelled my order on 10/3/23 and received an email confirming the cancellation and that a refund would be issued. Two weeks later, no refund, so I emailed again - no response. I emailed two additional times and no response, and no refund. Its been well over a month since the cancellation and Im not sure what to do - the site is now down so I suspect bankruptcy or something of that nature, but havent found any proof of that. I have the order confirmation and the cancellation confirmation, and am still hoping to be refunded, as $145 is not insignificant to me! Thanks so much for any insight/help that you may provide.

    I placed an order on August 23, 2023 in the amount of $72.53. My credit card was charged. The order was never shipped. I emailed customer service on October 23, 2023, to inquire about the status of the order. I received an auto response saying my message would be responded to within 3 business days. I never received a response. It appears that The Tot has shut down but it still taking orders and payment but no orders are being fulfilled. And they are not responding to any customer inquiries. I'll be contacting my credit card company today to dispute the charge.

    I placed an order with The Tot online on September 18th (6.5 weeks ago) totaling $111.60 order #T216168377. My credit card was charged, and I have yet to receive my order or hear anything back from the company despite sending numerous direct emails and website form submissions. They say they respond within three days, but *** reached out at least four times over the last month and havent gotten any reply. I would like my order to be shipped immediately, or receive a full refund to my credit card.
