This company price gouges. They will raise the rent and then lower it for certain tenants. They will offer our neighbors incentives when they renew but will pick and choose who they will give an incentive too. The lack of upgrading. Management exposing your business to other tenants. A leasing agent told another resident a incident that happened at our unit. The owner does not care about his property nor will he respond to emails. Corporate office is extremely rude and show how racist they can really be. ***** ****** will talk down on you in a public setting instead of private. Say they are non smoking community but you will smell weed In the hallways. A resident was being a creeper and wouldnt let me break my lease. Our neighbors had a gun out and they didnt evict them. Cars stolen in the garage. Lazy courtesy officer.

We would like to be able to assist this individual and look further into the situation, but we have no record of a resident by this name.  Please request that the individual provide their name, as listed on their lease, and the name of the property that they lived at.  When we can pull up their account history, we will gladly research the matter and reply promptly.  Thank you.

On July 2, 2023 I filled out an application online for ******* Properties Apartment Mandelville LA but the cooperate office is Tonti Properties located in ******, *****. The application required a application deposit of ****** same as security deposit. The application fee of ***** is nonrefundable. I printed my application that was filled out on July 2, 2023 at 10:17 a. m. Sunday. I went back to review my application and my application information and signature and initials had been used for a lease form which I never seen before. I feel I am being force into signing a lease and my application has not been approval yet. I am not satisfied the attention put towards my application. I have only talk to the manger *************************** once and the only way I was able to speak to her was to travel ***** miles. I just want my ****** application deposit/security deposit back. ********,

We are sorry for the difficulty youve had in reaching us.  You never digitally signed more than an application at Cypress Lake- there was no lease initiation or signature.  When we ran your application, it was denied due to failure to meet the income requirements.  Your $400 deposit was refunded back to you on 7/21/23.   We attempted to call you to notify you of this, but your voicemail is not setup to accept messages.

Weve attached proof of your refunded deposit.  If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at: *******************************************

Again, we apologize for the delay and hope you find a home that meets your needs.

    Sincerely,
    *****************-Regional Supervisor- Tonti Properties

I have had issues with Tonti Properties, specifically, their Visconti location. The issues have been occurring since my move in date around October of 2022. I signed the lease for a specific move in date in October but had been told I would be able to move in a day prior to the agreed lease as it wasnt a big deal and the place would be vacant anyways. This was important to me as I had a very small window to move out of my, then, current residence. Long story made short, they didnt honor it and I learned moving forward that I would only communicate with them via email as they are deceptive and will just claim they never agreed to things if they arent written in writing.Theyve had lots of employee turnover including management which they use as an excuse when something is done wrong on their end. There have been several instances now where they have sent maintenance by without written notice that I have been walked in on while in the shower or unclothed. The first time it occurred, I immediately informed them and had them take note that Im not okay with them entering my apartment without being informed given appropriate advance notice and me answering the door. Regardless, the same scenario occurred several times since. Today (6/6/23), it occurred again with 3 people unlocking my door while I was unclothed and coming in. I informed them to leave and that it wasnt appropriate. I contacted the management team and they said by emailing them last night about my frustration with their handling of pest control that it gave them permission to enter without my consent to check for bugs. In the lease agreement, it states that a 12 hour notice is required which was not followed. I told them that this situation has occurred too many times and my privacy has been continuously violated. Because of this issue and several others, I dont feel comfortable living here as it wasnt what I agreed on. I asked to be released from the contract and they said they would evict me.

We are saddened that our resident is unhappy with our efforts to resolve her concerns about pests in her apartment quickly.  After receiving her email about her concerns and having the ******************** arrive the following day, the staff considered her email as consent to enter to assess and treat.

Since receiving her request to be released from her lease the Office team has made multiple attempts to contact her and other leaseholder(s) to  discuss terms and send/receive completion of agreements with no response from any leaseholder(s).

The Office team is waiting for a response.

I am currently going through an eviction with Tonti at ******** properties. Today (March 21,2023) and they disabled my key fob to gain access to the property. The manager (*******************************) has come to my door (March 16,2023) threatened to turn off my electricity at the time. My electricity was not in my name as of that day. I am filing this complaint in the hopes to resolve this issue with corporate. I have asked the property manager (*****************************), as well as the assistant manager (*******************************) for their regional's information, and until this date they have not provided the information. This is unacceptable behavior; I am by law supposed to have access to the unit. All fees (rent) will be paid through the court, unfortunately this is the way the company handles their tenants. I will be notifying my attorney of this issue.

I was charged $245.65 for carpet replacement and was told by the leasing agent that it was due to irreparable damages, however, could not provide photo proof of such claim. I recorded the entire apartment upon move out and upon showing the agent the video, he could only point out a stain in the carpet and used it to justify the charge. According to the attorney general: "The landlord may not charge you for normal wear and tear on the premises and may only charge for actual abnormal damage. For example, if the carpet simply becomes more worn because you and your guests walked on it for a year, the landlord may not charge you for a new carpet." Aside from the one stain, the size of a penny, that was pointed out in the video, there was nothing beyond normal wear and tear in the carpet. I've attempted to contact both the assistant property manager, *******, as well as, the corporate offices and have yet to receive a response from either. Video can be provided to the business upon contact.

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/11/10) */ Contact Name and Title: ******* ***** Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *******@tontiproperties.com We have reviewed the resident's complaint and have removed the $245.65 charge for carpet replacement, effective 11/8/22. While the carpet was replaced earlier than we typically estimate it should be, we agree with the resident that the photographs taken of the carpet do not sufficiently capture the damage in question. We apologize to the resident for not replying in a more timely manner and thank her for bringing this to our attention. We hope that we have now satisfactorily resolved her concerns. Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/11/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Thank you for taking the time to review my complaint and coming to this resolve.
