    I received care from American Radiology Consultants in May 2022. I called them on 6/21/2022 to ask about the cost, and I was told that the service had no cost to me. Now in August 2022, I received a letter from a debt collector trying to collect $114.61 for this service. I called the debt collector to dispute the debt, and they suggested I also call American Radiology Consultants to inquire about the supposed balance. I called American Radiology Consultants and the person I spoke to did see that I had called them on 6/21/22, and he did say that the calls were recorded. After repeatedly telling him that I would not be paying any supposed balance since I was specifically told the service had no cost to me, he didn't care. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he refused to transfer me. After repeated prodding, he finally agreed to listen to my recorded phone conversation from 6/21/22, which would show that I was told I had no cost out of pocket for my service. Upon putting me on hold, he hung up. I believe they are trying to avoid talking to me in an effort to get me to pay for a debt that I don't owe.

    They never sent a bill, and I have Medicare and a supplement which was to pay the total bill. They are currently paid by Medicare and my supplemental insurance. They didn't wait until the supplemental insurance (Aetna) paid for the MRI. The collection agency, Receivable Management groups, were the only ones to tell us that insurance wasn't paying on time.
