I had this company come by my home and I told them about the drainage problem I was having in my backyard, standing water was a breeding ground for mosquitos. I said I wanted an extended patio and that was done we also discussed adding a room. I agreed. I would have managers come over and remind them of what I wanted for drainage and was told it wasn't in the contract but they would try getting it done. the work went on this way. after it was finished they said for an additional $15,000 they could do it. I then said I would not sign off on final walk-through unless this wasn't addressed was then said if I put my concern down on walk-through papers it would be addressed. There were no gutters or drainage there which I put on walk-through papers. they put the gutters but not the drainage.Business Response

On Sept 23, 2024 our *** **** went to visit the customer due to seeking options available for the existing French drain. After viewing the job site **** offered the option of doing complimentary gutters to fixed the drainage issue or he would need to pay for a new French drain system. The customer declined the new French drain system and agreed to receive the complimentary gutters instead.
On Oct 22nd we scheduled our worker to visit the home to ***air the baseboards and door as shown in the photos and the customer refused entry to the worker and refused for us to fix the issues.

EcoStar *********************************************** fraudulently sold us a service that was not provided. We were sold on the fact that they only use The Best Contractors & that they are Licensed, **************** while they knowingly sent out non-licensed plumbers & non-licensed electricians to work in our home. EcoStar committed to provide us with highly professional and experienced licensed contractors. This did not happen. When we found the water leak behind the vanity ********* contacted ************** sent us a plumber to fix the leak, then a handyman would follow to repair the wall & the cracking shower grout. I requested proof of the plumber's license on both ********************* refused to supply. Stating they do not keep or maintain those records & do not supply them to customers. We hired our own licensed plumber to fix things correctly. Additional leaks were found behind the shower ********* now have to rip out the shower. We tried to work with EcoStar, we even met with the president of the ****** location in our home. EcoStars offer to make it right was to reimburse us for the labor we paid to *********** for the leak behind my vanity wall, & then allow them a 3rd opportunity to send their contractors out to fix my shower & the water leaking behind it. This offer is not acceptable, we want our $40,220.00 back. They didn't fix it the 1st time or the 2nd time, and I am not about to give them a 3rd attempt to make it even worse. We paid $40,220.00 to **************, DBA EcoStar *********************************************** for Licensed *********************** remodeling our bathroom which they knowingly did not send us. To date we have now paid an additional $8,443.64 to fix the damage they caused so far. This entire process has been a nightmare for us both mentally and physically. Businesses should not be allowed to knowingly sell consumers a service based on lies and deception and when this does happen the business should be held accountable for fraud.Business Response

Dear Dispute Resolution Department,
This letter is regarding the complaint ID #********. First of all thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain the situation and clarify the issue, having the two sides of the story is indispensable to understand the context of the case.
The bathroom remodeling performed by Ecostar Remodeling and Construction has a contract signed on march 23rd 2023, every aspect of the project was meticulously carried out as detailed in that contract. Throughout the project, we maintained open lines of communication, promptly addressing any queries or concerns the customer had, our team adhered strictly to industry standards and utilized high-quality materials, consistent with what was specified in the contract, prioritizing cleanliness and safety on the job site, implementing measures to minimize disruption and maintain a safe working environment. Our staff and subcontractors exhibited professionalism and expertise in executing the project.
We understand the importance of being Licensed, insured and bonded. Rest assured, our company is indeed licensed fully insured and bonded, and we take great pride in maintaining the necessary coverage to protect our clients and their investments. To provide further reassurance, we are more than willing to provide documentation confirming our license, insurance and bonding status.
At Ecostar Remodeling & Construction, we prioritize transparency and accountability in all our dealings. However, due to company policy and legal considerations, we are unable to provide direct access to our contractors license information to clients, that is why we could not provide that data to *******************. Rest assured, our company operates in full compliance with all licensing requirements in *****, and our contractors are duly licensed professionals
Following completion, we remained available to address any post-remodeling issues or problems that *** arise, and in fact we did, when ******************* contacted us complaining about a leak almost a year after completion we were immediately available and willing to help and assist with the warranty process. On February 20th 2024 we scheduled one of our licensed plumbers to take care of the leak, he corrected the issues and the warranty was ready to end on February 23rd 2024 with drywall, shower re-grout and vanity installation, however ******************* did not let us complete the process since the worker scheduled for the mentioned tasks was from latin origins and does not speak English. We explained the customer that we do not discriminate our workers for the language they speak, nevertheless we agreed to send a different, English speaker, worker as customer requested and Mr. *** ******************* declined, requested a full refund of the project total and threatened us with a Lawsuit.
So, we were fully prepared to honor the warranty by sending our contractors to address any issues with the remodeling. However, despite our willingness to rectify the situation, the customer unfortunately declined to allow our contractors access to the property.
We take pride in our commitment to customer satisfaction and stand by the quality of our workmanship. It is our policy to promptly address any warranty issues that *** arise, and we remain dedicated to resolving this matter to the customers satisfaction.
Should the customer reconsider and wish to proceed with allowing our contractors to fix the remodeling as per the warranty terms, please do not hesitate to inform us. We are ready to make every effort to ensure the completion of the project to the highest standards.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.Initial Complaint

Buyer beware!!! This company WILL lie to you about timelines and their ability to complete repairs. I signed with them early October to complete a bathroom and kitchen remodel. The timeline was 6 weeks and the project budget was $75,000.00. As of today Tuesday 1/9/24 the kitchen is still no where near completed (I have spent close to $100k), ECOstar hasnt even ordered the panels for my shelves yet and they cannot give me an end date to this nightmare. If you wish to have your life flipped upside down, spend more than expected and have zero end in sight, then I suggest you hire Ecostar. ***** is currently their manager they assigned to fix this disaster and he is doing a good job considering the mess he has to clean up. I will remove this post if they finish the project quickly, professionally and I want a formal apology with a refund due to the laundry list of issues I have documented against their corrupt organization.Business Response

I am retired, 65 years old and my wife is looking to retire, Ecostar gave us a quote for over ****** to remodel our master bathroom and later after the demolition they found mold they said it would cost ****** to remedy the mold for just the shower floor and studs. My wife and I are not happy with this outrageous ****** cost to remediate the mold. We also been informed that the estimate for the bathroom remodel is too high for our small bathroom. We asked for an itemized estimate in the beginning and were promised one to this day have not received one. We dont want to be charged for work that was not done and to be taken advantage of because we are old and not aware of construction costs that are fair we feel the estimate was too much we want to be released from our contract without paying for any extra cost besides the money we owe them for the demolition and dont want to pay for the ********************************************************************************************************************** put a lean on our home to try to take our home from us. We feel theses folks talk a smooth talk push you to sign contracts and promise the world but dont deliver simple estimates in details. They should be banned from working in *****.

Hi we are working on refunding the customer for the work that hasn't been completed, just wanted to clarify that we do have a witness on file for the projects thank you!Customer Answer
Date: 11/04/2023
I am rejecting this response because: It doesnt address the ****** dollars cost of mold remediation it too much money, I am a senior on limited income and cant afford this unreasonable cost and the loan has still not been cancelled and I never got an itemized cost estimate outlining item per item cost and the witness is my daughter and she is disabled and cannot be a witness without our permission. There has been no refund we never signed a completion of work the loan should have never been processed until that form was signed. The cancellation of contract is not mentioned above the 15 percent fee we will not be paying that fee since from the beginning we were never given a detailed estimate and rushed to sign contract again taking advantage of senior citizens.Customer Answer

Just sent today , I was there I didnt see any studs sanded, they put a plastic on my house with a zipper that should not cost **** dollars, I didnt see them do anything to prepare the area, no containment area was built and the area sprayed with a white paint looking stuff was only the shower area is about 12 square feet so I am paying **** a square feet for shower area I had another estimate today he said the most I should be charged would be maybe **** dollars for the whole mold mediation, so the negative machine ran for 48 hours so they charging me **** dollars a day for the machine and then another **** for mold clearance I thought I am already paying **** dollars for the machine doing that? This is a fraud, scam against an retired elderly couple its a scam, a shame to anyone with any decency and brain to see this is immoral, unethical, I could go on and on, I think will call the local TV station and have them investigated.Customer Answer

this company was hired to redo our Patio with cement flooring & screened in. The work started on March 22,2023 & completed on April 14,2023. Within 3 weeks of completion the cement flooring started cracking and the screen was bulding & comming apart. we called them out to review and fix several times, they finally came out and comented that the this waws "Mother Nature" and did not fix. They did put some type of dusting on some of the cracks but that eventually blew away. We have constantly called them to ask when will they correct the problem. Their last explanation was we needed foundation work. We have had another builder come and look at the problem and they indicated it looks as if their was no rebar attached from cement to the house. We just want this Company to make good with this project. Their fee altogether was around $42,000.00 and that was financed.Business Response

Hello we are working on scheduling a meeting with the customer and rep to see what we need to do on our end to handle this matter thank you.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Ecostar came out to talk with us concerning the situation. They indicated that the issue is still concerning the property due to the land shifting. They agreed to come out and fix what they could but stated the cement flooring would still have the cracks. We did not agree with this because I do not feel safe with this Company coming back to my property do fix if not going to do it right and I told them that. We then discussed a Monetary settlement. They asked me what I expect and I said Half of the Funds back, again they dissagreed and stated 10% back and I agreed with that. The guys that came out said they did not have the authority to approve this and that they would take this to their Manager for approval. This happen on 10/05/2023. We have not heard back from Ecostar since. I feel this Company is a Scam and Fraud and took advantage of an Elderly Couple. My ****** is a disabled Veteran going through cancer. We just want toget this resolved. Thanks again for your helpBusiness Response

I wanted to get a quote on adding concrete to my backyard. The man from Ecostar told me he needed me to fill out a form to determine if I was eligible to receive a rebate and was told it was not a hard inquiry and that it was a soft pull. Instead, I received notification of a credit card issued in my name from ************** without my express approval for a new line of credit, especially because I did not pursue services with this company.Business Response
