Bold Roofing salesman, *****************, on 8/3/23 came to my house and had my wife sign (her signature) a Contingent Agreement with my name listed on it (not her name) without me present. Insurance adjuster assessed damages to house on 8/25/23 approving most but not all of the roof. I met with ************ on 8/30/23 to discuss needed repairs. He informed me that Bold Roofing could repair/replace all listed items without paying the deductible, was told they had a legal loophole they use. I informed him that I was interested in a roof upgrade to a Class 4 for an insurance discount, I gave him the brand, style and color from the flyer he left originally. He informed me he would provide cost details/estimates. He was unwilling/unable to provide details until I provided a copy of the insurance property claim settlement, of which I did so 9/15/23. On 9/26/23 an independent adjuster from Gorilla Public Adjusters arrived at our house unannounced, I texted ************ and he texted He is the doing a supplement on the claim .. We supplement every claim to make sure we do not miss anything... After meeting with ************ several times personally, emailing insurance information, and texting him and his main office person multiple times between 8/3/23 and 12/8/23 with our desired selections we still were not given any specific cost estimates we had been promised by him and his office person. Communication had ceased from ************ as of 11/27/23. Due to not following through with basic pricing information and not communicating with me for over 6 weeks I reached out to other roofing companies that were able to answer my questions in a specific and timely manner, also another roofing company found over $5000 in damages missed by Bold. When we informed ************ of our decision to work with another company he immediately sent me a bill for $7700 his time and the adjuster even though no money was paid, no work was performed and no materials were ordered. Resolution: WITHDRAW $7700 FEE TO $0
