On 1/12/2024 I went to Solis Mammography (******************************************************************) for my annual mammogram. After that visit, which my insurance covered, I was contacted to come back in for an additional exam due to some potential issues identified with the initial exam. On 3/19/2024, the follow-up exam was conducted. However, I was told I had to pay $480.13 before the service. I was provided with a summary of the charges and not an actual bill. I was told the final bill would be submitted to my insurance. On 4/10/2024, I sent an email to Solis requesting the final bill. On 4/23/2024, I sent another email requesting assistance as no one responded to my previous email. I had attempted calling Solis numerous times but they had a generic message indicating they experienced a breach (sometime early in 2024) and were working on the issue. On 10/10/2024, I sent another email asking for a final bill and indicating that this was impacting my deductible and my ability to be paid back from my health savings account. Some time in September or October, I called Solis again and spoke to someone who told me about the breach but that I should be receiving something in the next month. Now, we are almost 9 months later and my insurance has not received a final bill nor has a final bill been sent to me. This is not acceptable. All I am asking for is a final bill from the services on 3/19/2024, this should not be as difficult as Solis is making it. My insurance will not accept the summary/estimate which is all I have for the 3/19/2024 service. I caution anyone from using this company for your annual mammogram.

Patients claim was filed and denied for timely filing on 11/9/2024. Due to Change Healthcare cyber attach who does Solis billing, there was a delay in billing from 2/21/2024-9/1/2024 dates of service.  This has now been resolved.  Change Healthcare is working with insurance carriers to appeal all timely filing denials related to this issue.  At this time we have fully refunded the $480.13 that was paid. Our billing team has reached out to the patient to advise that in the event the claim reprocesses with any patient responsibility, the patient will be billed at that time.

02/29/24 and 03/12/2024 - Solis Mammography, Medical City of Dallas, and ************ Specialists (a Division of ********* Associates) are all working together to BAIT and SWITCH WOMEN into paying more for their Mammograms. The **************** person from "******************" called me to schedule a second appointment shortly after my first Mammogram. However, Solis had NOT provided me or my doctor with the test results before scheduling calling me and implying there was a sense of urgency around getting a second appointment scheduled. In fear, I scheduled it and contacted my doctor. Finally, my doctor received the results (Solis still refused to email it to me, but said they could 'mail it'. Several days after my second Exam with them, they finally emailed me the report. So, when "Solis" scheduled my second appointment, they led me to believe it was a "Solis" location within the ************************************ location, turns out, "Solis" is funneling WOMEN to MEDICAL CITY OF DALLAS, so they can charge higher prices by scheduling services at the Hospital instead of their facilities. I paid more than twice as much as I would have otherwise and at NO POINT, did SOLIS disclose their affiliations with ************, *********************, or Medical City of Dallas. Not sure what the agreement is between the three, but I suspect it's a lucrative one and not one that supports the Hippocratic Oath. BUYER BE WARE. I will make every effort not to use any of these medical vendors again. They are using Fear Tactics to pressure women into making expensive decisions.

I have had a total of 4 visits spanning from 2/2/24 to 5/15/24 to Solis Mammography in ******************. While the employees are very kind, there seems to be a massive difference when it comes to the billing and insurance department. Upon my first visit they gave me a quote I knew wasnt going to even be close to what my final EOB would be. I insisted it would be a a $25 or $50 copay, they claimed it was going to over $500. To appease them, I paid a portion and knew Id just have to get a refund when my EOB came back. *** had to do this exact same thing on my next two appointments. My first 2/2/24 EOB was processed and I only owe $25. As I knew. In March I called the billing department as I wanted refunds for my February appointments. They said they couldnt help me without a bill when I dont owe anything. Ok. They gave me the main billing # ************, which has been down since early March. Its now almost July. My 2/9/24 appointment has not even been billed to my insurance yet!!! Im going through a very difficult cancer treatment process, I do not need hundreds of dollars I paid out that are due back to me just sitting at Solis. I have so many bills to pay and this is utterly ridiculous. Ive gotten my insurance involved and Solis refuses to help them out either.

On January 19th, I arrived at Solis for a breast ultrasound. I gave them my insurance card, and they then printed out a Patient Responsibility Estimate for $30 for the copay after "running" my insurance. I had expected this charge as they had texted me this estimate. I paid this and received my service. On January 25th, I went to Solis again for a biopsy. On January 19th, I had received a text estimate in the amount of $343.16 for this biopsy. I went to the front desk to give them my insurance card again and they "ran" it again. I paid and then did my procedure. A few weeks later, I was surprised by a medical bill from Medical City Dallas in the amount of $1521.48. The statement is dated 2/15/24. I looked back on the Patient Responsibility Estimate from January 25 and realized that they did not put in the correct insurance information. At the bottom of the page, it reads "The estimated patient responsibility is based upon information we received from your insurance company indicating you have met $0.00 out of your $0.00 deductible to date." This is not correct. On my insurance card, it very clearly says on both sides of the card that I have a $2000 deductible. I called my insurance to see if Solis had called to verify my insurance, and they could not find any evidence that Solis had called them.If the front desk at Solis had even bothered to look at my insurance card, they would have clearly seen that I had a $2000 deductible instead of $0. If the insurance was done properly, it would have shown a much higher number Estimation Charge Summary (instead of the $343.16), at which point I would have declined the service because I can't afford it.After speaking to my insurance company as well as to the Texas Department of Insurance, they agreed that Solis made the mistake by not verifying my insurance for both of my appointments, giving me an incorrect price in bad faith, and thus I should not be held responsible for this bill.

I had an appointment with Solis Mammography on 05/18/2023 as a referral from *****************************. At the time of my appointment, I was informed that Solis no longer accepted my insurance, ********** Blue Shield, but that I had the option of a one time Self Pay. I paid $282.00 for an ultrasound and a mammogram. Only the ultrasound was performed. At the time of payment, I was informed that I would receive a refund for any procedures not performed. The following day 05/19/2023 I began calling Solis to inform them that I needed a refund due to the fact that I paid for a mammogram that was not done. To date, I have called 15 times attempting to retrieve monies paid for unperformed procedures. On 08/01/2023, I received another bill from Solis for $37.00. For reference, I have attached a copy of the itemized Self Pay statement I was given as well as the Credit Card receipt in the amount of $282.00 both dated 05/18/2023 the date of the appointment.I am requesting a refund in the amount of $168.00 as well as the explanation for the charge of $35.00 and possible refund.

    Here are my findings:

The patient came in on 5/11/2022 for a screening mammogram.
The patient told the front desk she was having discharge, and this was stated on her registration form seen below.
The patient was advised that she will need a DX BL mammogram. The exam was rescheduled for 5/25/2022.
The patient came back in on 5/25/2022 and signed the Exam and billing notice.  At that time, she was advised of her estimate.
The estimate for the breast sono bilateral was not given due to not knowing if she would need that service.
The Bilateral exam was done on the same day.

A routing screening mammogram is done when there are no issues or concerns with the breast.
A Diagnostic mammogram is done when a patient is having issues or concerns with her breast.
The center did contact the office of her doctor and advised she is having discharge, this will need to be a DX because this is a new issue with the patient which is stated on the form she filled out.
