I signed a contract for solar panels to be added to my home on 03-09-2021 with O3 Home Solar. After panel installation they were non functional for almost a year a few months after installation. While waiting for repairs I was assured many times that the production guarantee (distributed by the manufacturer and not this company directly) would cover costs for any solar power not generated during this time, and at any point that the panels were not producing enough energy. The panels were repaired in 02-2023, I was in contact with an employee of O3 that told me over the phone they were putting my information "into a new system" that would generate my production guarantee. My last email to them asking for any update was 08-09-2023. They never were very responsive and it was normal to wait months for answers. After looking further into this recently after no response, I found that the business was closed. Obviously, based on all the other reviews and issues, this company, and it's employees, were very fraudulent and unable to stay open due to this. After reviewing the contract I signed and I cannot find any information on the manufacturer that I would be able to contact for this production guarantee. I am just needing information on how to resolve my production guarantee through the manufacturer for my specific unit, and what options I would have in order to service the unit for future issues. Or if there is the option to have the panels removed from my home and returned to the manufacturer, that would be my ultimate preference, as they have been nothing but a headache.

In June 2023 I placed a downpayment with the sales manager of O3 Home Solar for the installation of a power wall at a total cost of $23,000.00. In September ******************************************************************************************************** October 2023 I received a call from the Senior Building official for the ************** stating O3 Home Solar requested a building permit for a solar work in my name but never picked up the permit and the email at O3 Solar was no longer in service. I tried to contact O3 Home solar but their telephones lines were not operational. In November 2023, I called the phone numbers for ********* Solutions who has the same business address as O3 Home Solar. I left detailed messaging asking that I be contacted about the installation of the power wall. I never received any response to my messages. In December 2023 and again in January 2024, I sent certified US Mail to O3 Home Solar/********* Solutions asking a status and if the company was not going to install the power wall to refund the $11,500.00. As of this date no responses have been heard from either O3 Home Solar or ********* Solutions.

Purchased Solar in September of 2022 and took them till April 2023 to semi-finish the Job. Signed a Warranty contract with ******** but then was told that my warranty was voided due to 03 Home solar not making a payment. Cant get anyone to respond regarding completing the ************** input and output to see what my panels are generating. Terrible service and see no changes in my energy bill. I either need a new warranty provided by 03 home solar o refund to get my own. Also need them to to show me my energy input and output. It's been a 1 year+ since i signed contracts and can't believe I'm still dealing with this.

Unfortunately, O3 Home Solar is no longer in business.  We cannot assist with any servicing.  The inverters themselves are under warranty from the manufacturer, Generac.  If the issue is something covered by the warranty, some manufacturers will reimburse for the labor and some will not.  The part itself will definitely be covered if it is a warranty issue.

The systems output should be viewable through the ************ portal and app, and also through the ******** inhome gateway and online portal.

So I tried calling the service providers to come take a look at my panels but theyre are either charging a lot of money to come out and repair or are not in my service area. I signed a contract with ******** whom 03 home solar had a contract with but because 03 Homesolqr didnt send them the payment Omnidian voided my service and maintenance contract. I recieved an email from 03 Home solar that this maintenance contract was paid but ******** said that did not happen and now I cant get my panels fixed with out being charged. Someone needs to be held accountable and it seems Im not the only one with this issue. What can we do to get the service we deserve?

03 Solar Solar customer.Purchased home system in 2021. The system did not work for the first 12 months. I was owed a rebate based on potential system use for that time. O3 put me off for over a year until....O3 Solar is now out of business. They have disappeared with no avenue to support the system it sold me and I won't be getting the money owed. They were a fraudulent vendor prior, now they are non-existent. I and everyone else has a long term solar system on our houses with maintenance contracts attached to them.

At O3 Home Solar, we have never engaged in the sale of long-term maintenance contracts. Instead, we provided a limited warranty for all our systems. It's important to note that this warranty is upheld by the material manufacturer. In the event of a warranty issue, any solar company has the capability to initiate a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer of the specific part in question.  This not, in any case, considered fraudulent as **************** has asserted.

o3Solar installed solar panels which have never worked properly, nor had they obtained a green tag to put them in production, which is in violation of the law, in addition they obtained payment from GreenSky (finance company) when they did not have the green tag, to go in to production or request payment, which they received payment,. Now my roof is leaking. The o3solar roofer confirmed they damaged my roof ****************** o3Solar was supposed to repair the roof and damages to my home. This never occurred. Now my home has leaks in my bedroom ceiling in addition to the humidity issues and other problems detected earlier. Under every solar panel, my new roof shingles are rotting. I filed a claim with my insurance agent. The agent and my roofer examined the roof, no wind or hail damage. The damage is under the solar panels due to improper installation, which caused water to seep in to the shingles, which now leaked in to my attic. This is a total disaster. The panels do not work. The newly installed roof was totally damaged when o3Solar installed these non working panels, and they do not provide electrical production at all, but caused major damages. o3Solar has been inept at resolving any of these issues and has violated the law in getting paid without a green tag, along with not abiding by the 10 year warranty, not paying me for non production any of the years the panels have been installed. NOW they need to resolve this whole mess, post haste. Thank you for any assistance you can provide in resolving this horrific disaster.

Additionally, according to ********, this customer was refunded.  They cancelled her loan last year and billed it back to O3 Home Solar.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/29/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   The damages done, with the installation of the panels to my brand new roof were never resolved as promised in the attached email(s).

GreenSky did not fully refund my money.  They stopped the payments from that point on.  They also refunded me partial payments.  My down payment was not refunded.
I have 60 solar panels.  The cost to remove each solar panel is $185 per panel.  Each panel has been improperly installed and leaked water in to my home, my underlayment is rotten from the water, my house now has too much moisture - I have to run dehumidifiers 24 hours a day and dump the water from these 3 times a day (2 gallons each time), my clothes became moldy) my celing leaks on my bed.  Etc.  ************************* and o3Solar promised to fix these issues and never did.
So, I have to now pay $185 x 60  panels = $11,100 just to have defective, non producing panels off my roof.  Then I must pay to have a new roof installed (approximately $30,000.00) , when my roof was brand new prior to o3Solar destroying it with their faulty installation of non producing panels, which they  put in production, got paid for, and never obtained a green tag (violation of  DTLR - *****************************************).
No, not fair at all.   Also, illegal.

However, we understand that the system costs were refunded by GreenSky and debited from O3 Home Solar. I hired O3 home solar to install solar panels on my home after several other bids. The install went fine but shortly after install there was an issue with my panels. O3 was very hard to get a hold of but finally sent someone out and worked on the solar panels. About a year after install I noticed my production was very low. Again I attempted to reach out to O3 to have them send someone out. It took months to get a response. When they finally sent someone out there were faulty fuses installed on the system and the system had essentially been off for months. In the contract O3 stated that they would reimburse owners for lost production. Given that I had lost production for a significant period of time I reached out to the team at O3 home solar to request an adjustment and refund for lost production. They asked me to submit a year's worth of electricity bills, which I did. They said they would perform an analysis and then work on my refund. I have been emailing them now monthly for over a year and they refuse to complete this process and give me my refund. They keep saying it is "under review by the **** or just ignoring my emails. It has now been a year waiting with no response from them honoring their contract. I am due money for lost production due to their faulty fuses and the period of time the very expensive system they installed did not work but I cannot get them to follow through with my request.

O3 Solar completed the installation of solar panels was completed September 9, 2023,Due to all the rain the week prior to October 30, 2023, my roof leaked at the points that the solar panels were attached to the roof. According to the roofing company that inspected the roof, it appears that the attachment points were not properly sealed. I now have water stains on the ceiling of my front room and a leaking roof. I have now discovered that O3 Home Solar LLC is no longer in business.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/22/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   The repair was done the "easy" way, not the correct way.  There is a potential for the leak to occur the next time there is a heavy rain.

On November 9, 2023, two workmen came to the house.  Communication was extremely difficult due to a language barrier.  No inspection of the solar attachment on the roof occurred.  Upon seeing the location of the water stains in the house, access to the attic was requested. They caulked the roof penetration points from the attic side (interior).  However, the exterior penetration points were not sealed. Therefore, allowing water to access the plywood sheathing below the shingles weakening the integrity of the sheathing.

I want the penetration points on the exterior roof to be sealed.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  According to our team, the solar array on the roof was lifted up in the areas of the leak and the footings were resealed.  Silicon is what is used to seal the footings.  If this continues to leak, we can readdress.  Until that time, there isn't anymore to be done.

In November 2020 we contracted with O3 home solar to install solar on our house. The cost was over $53,000. the system included 67 panels total and 2 inverters. The system has not functioned properly since installed. We have sent numerous emails and placed as many phone calls to try to get the issues resolved and collect the production guarantee that was in the O3 contract. O3 has strung us along. They were supposed to be out back on October 11 but they sent a text that morning stating the technicians were out sick. I am seeking to get a refund and have ******* replaced as the system has not functioned properly since installation and not at all in the past year.

Had panels installed in late 2021 and the system has never produced enough energy. Been chasing to get refund for over a year and all I get is no respond or the *** blames a company named ******** and they say that they dont have nothing to do with O3. I summited all my bills to prove the underproduction of 2022,.now that ******** is not even associated with O3 more likely not getting anything for this year underproduction. Several emails and calls reaching *** ************************* and he just ignores. Company is a total scam and should not be operating. Unfortunately we can't get no one to help us. Contacted a Lawyer and rejected us. Panels are worthless with O3. Dont do business with them. TERRIBLE company. Now I am left with a bunch of junk, a lean on my house, a huge debt and no one to be accountable. Since O3 seems to ignore or went bankruptcy. Some rumors around. DO NOT MAKE BUSINESS WITH O3.
